Fantastic. The food was great, and for a fair price. The staff was very friendly. I loved the tofu.

We have been wanting to try Maru One, a Taiwanese restaurant, for awhile but never go the chance until today. They are located to the left of Sam Ash, in the same plaza strip of The Home Depot, but further to the left. I did not know what to expect but the interior was very sleek and modern. Plenty of tables and neatly spread apart. I really expected a typical interior with the normal furniture, but was pleasantly surprised. We phoned in our order and it was ready within 20 minutes. I was greeted right as I stepped into the restaurant. Stir-Fried Sautéed Pork with Bamboo Shoot Egg Fried Rice with Shrimp and Sautéed Pork They use recycled packaging and though the portion, or the size of the to go box, may fool you, it's a plenty. Yes, prices are a bit high, but that is everywhere right now due to the rising costs of food and etc. Overall, loved the Taiwanese flavors. We do wish that the bamboo shoots were cut into smaller sizes because it could be a choking hazard for some. The white rice in each dish was fresh and fluffy. Overall, a great first experience. Parking could be a bit of a hit or miss depending on how busy the market, two doors down, is and Sam Ash. Just might need to park a bit further, but can walk off your meal afterwards.

Awful dining experience. Unprepare food service business. Only one staff server for the whole dining area which have more than 10 tables. ( feel bad for the server tho) . It take almost 20mins for her come greet us and take our order. But when we order, 2 out of 5 were not available. So we need some more time to look at the menu again, but the server refuse to take 2 round order because she is so busy . The food was ok but to a salty side. Small dishes compare to regular Chinese restaurants. Th food came out like it has been sit for a while since there is only one server. End is my poor kids was too hungry and just eat the white rice by itself . NEVER go again and good luck for them ...

Excellent dishes all round from this Taiwanese restaurant. The decor is sparse but the food certainly made up for it. Dishes of note were the drunken chicken. Lobster salad and loofah soup. There were many other dishes I would like to try but so many dishes and only one tinny stomach.

So... there's lots of dying strip malls in our part of SoCal. This place looks like it's part of another dying business in an industrial area. It's not super busy. I'm fearful of adding my review because there might be an onslaught of people trying to get homecooked Taiwanese food. Then where would I be? It is a very humble looking restaurant with big food. Here's what I mean. It's rare to find Taiwanese steamed fish (halibut or sea bass) with crispy soy. They serve this with silken tofu. Stay with me, I know this sounds unusual if you know what I'm talking about but it works. It extends the lovely subtle silkeness of the steamed fish. This is Taiwanese comfort food of a certain generation who remembers slow, yummy, inn-style, pre-90s food. Things like: Slow braised pork belly over bamboo Cabbage and wood ear Beef and green onions There's no beef noodle soup. It's not that kind of place. It's your parents' or grandparents' place. And dang they do old school tang yuan. Egg. Fermented rice. Black sesame with crispy peanuts in it. Goji. Osmanthus flowers. The owner works there. Friendly, lovely woman who is the waitress.

First time here, really authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Got a lot of dishes that you can't find anywhere else. Also ordered a bottle of Taiwanese beer to go with the food. Will definitely come back to try other dishes

Very authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Friendly and attentive staff. Food come out pretty fast and delicious, though a little pricy. Note: they charge white rice by bowl. Which is unusual for chinese restaurants (usually free) but guess it has changed since the pandemic (covid19).

Food was great and service was awesome. There were about 16 of us and we sat at 2 round tables. The cost was $26 per person. I thought it was pretty reasonable. I would definitely go again.

Authentic Taiwanese food, love most of the dishes here: pork belly with bamboo shoots, clam soup, stir fried Taiwanese cabbage, five favor intestines, pan-fried milk fish...my favorite dessert is the sweet taro paste, keep coming back for it.

Food was great and service was great. The food doesn't come out super quick but I am ok with that since it's worth the wait. If you're looking for good food that brings back memories of Taiwan then I recommend this place. The food presentation is okay but it's the taste that outshines the presentation.
