“My husband stopped off on his way home yesterday. Right off Hwy. 49 next to the Columbia P.O. this little low key market is the best kept secret in all of Tuolumne County. Maybe even Calavares. We got a Gyro and a Philly Cheesesteak. They were Both absolutely delicious and flavorful. Plus, we got the small plenty filling sandwiches for $10.99!! An excellent price. The people who work there were very polite and cordial. There were lots of choices for beverages. We will be regulars for sure now that we know about them. They also make hamburgers. Check them out.“

“An adorable tea house just one block from downtown Columbia. No one is too young or too old to enjoy having a tea party. Endless tea selection, good comfort food. Charming atmosphere amidst bone china tea cups and saucers and tea pots with cozies. Wonderful experience and memories.“

“This restaurant is amazing. The sandwich bread and scones were so fresh. Each member of our group ordered something different, and everything looked amazing and home made-especially the chicken pot pies, salads, variety of sandwiches and teas. We were a party of eleven and they were able to accommodate us sufficiently at a long table outdoors. I really appreciated the service and attentiveness. I know it is difficult to serve large parties, but they achieved this masterfully.“

“What a clean, friendly, cute place in downtown Jamestown! My eggplant sandwich with grilled red peppers, yellow squash, grilled eggplant, pesto, mozzarella & tomato on grilled sourdough was so delicious & packed with veggies & gooey cheese. The French fries were really good, piping hot & super crispy. My hubby had the Divorced Huevos Rancheros whic we're covered in two different sauces, red & white and he cleaned his plate. Our server was attentive, friendly & right on with her recommendations and we will definitely return if we're in the area again.“

We must have gone through 10 different wines (2 white and 9 reds) and was welcomed to more. The $10 tasting fee is comp'd with even a single bottle purchase. My friend was skeptical that they had practically a 5 star rating, but so glad we went and 5 stars is definitely deserved. As a wine neophyte, it was a great experience - I am warned that I should not expect anything even close this experience at other tasting rooms. “This family owned shop is well worth going a few yards further down Washington Street. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, the shop is super cute, and the menu has a great variety of sandwiches, salads, empanadas, and yummy baked goods. I always get the grilled cheese sandwich -- it's always so yummy! My son tried the championes empanadas, and we split the pasta salad. Everything was awesome. We especially enjoyed the thumb print cookies. Highly recommend!!“

“I love this wine produced from Aloria winery at their own vineyard overlooking New Melones Reservoir in Calaveras County. Come and meet Dave at the tasting room located across the street from the historic Murphy’s hotel. They have great tasting wines and many different varietals. They have a second label called ‘Above The Rush’ located in Vallecito. At Above The Rush, (the rushed life in the valley and Bay Area) they pair the wine with bites of delicious cheeses and herbs. “Vina Moda is a great little boutique winery that is nestled in downtown Murphys California on a street with multiple winery tasting rooms. Red wines are the expertise here, and the winemaker makes quite a few big heavy reds that stand out. There's plenty of awards displayed showing his success and the ambience is a feeling of a castle like atmosphere with deep dark undertones. The tasting room personnel are very knowledgeable and give great service, letting you try flights of wines or just specific ones. This is by far one of my favorite wine makers in the Calaveras County area and I enjoy all of his wines.“

“Came here for a tea on a Tuesday afternoon. They were doing a brisk business. Order at the counter and they call your name when your drink is ready. I was excited to see London Fog on the menu. There were several tables and the ambiance was nice. The tea was good and staff were pleasant. They sell bags of coffee as well. Free Street parking in the historic downtown area.“

“Love their karaoke on Thursday night. Atmosphere is always Funtastic. Bar service is excellent. The only reason i gave poor rating in food category was because the ice taste like the tap water which unfortunately makes drinks taste like tap water.“

I know everything has increased, but wouldn't expect to pay almost $20 for a somewhat dry chicken sandwich with pesto sauce on it, along with french fries as the side. The Smoked & Sliced Beef sandwich was good, though! DELICIOUS FRENCH FRIES! 10 & 11 year old split the Pulled Pork Nacho Fries, which was good but the pulled pork was slightly dry and the cheese sauce tasted from a jar. Be aware that the fries on the nachos are different than the normal fries -- like fry chips.Wikki Stix for the kids is a nice touch at the table. “This is the perfect spot to witness the most beautiful daffodils! The town of Murphys is such a cool place, and this winery is a must-see! Before you even enter the winery, you can see daffodils lining the roadside this time of year. It's something I appreciate doing yearly, if possible! This year the daffodils do not disappoint!
