“I came here on a Thursday so it wasn't too crowded. Stopped by before heading to the AngelCity Market. I tried the Yuzu Jasmine Lemonade, Cheese & Spicy Peppers Potato Ball and the Chicken Torta. All very delicious!Parking: The parking structure is behind Portos and it's good for 2hr parking as long as you're a customer.“

“Last minute search for a breakfast/brunch type spot and found Marin Cafe. It's located in an area off of Rosmead that shares a small parking lot with Zapien's Salsa Grill. It is a small lot but there's parking on the other side. I went while it was raining in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The cafe is a small shop with 3 four-seater tables so not good for huge groups. But the decor was really cute and cozy. A mix of cafe and small bakery. Love the painted walls with the cake and bakery items painted on. There was a large display case of various bakery good from conchas, to croissants, to cakes and cake slices. Everything looked so good. Brisa (I hope I didn't spell her name incorrectly, apologies!) was our barista and she was lovely. Very friendly and let us take our time, she answered my bf's questions about the food. We chatted here and there and then placed our orders with her. She kept us updated on our food as they made the wrong sandwich for me and needed to remake it which was no problem and appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered a concha, with an Abuelita hot latte, a mocha hot latte, breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Recommend the Abuelita hot latte for sure, perfect on a rainy cold day. The chocolatey spice from the Abuelita was so good with the espresso, the mocha was great as well great blend of chocolate and coffee. Now the breakfast sandwich was bomb, presentation and taste were great. Eggs were hot and fluffy, bacon crispy, with ham, and refreshing tomato avocado and lettuce with a honey mustard type sauce. It also came with a side of potato salad, pickles and banana peppers. The potato salad is EXACTLY how I like it, not mayonnaise-y and sweet. Brekfast burrito was nice and filling too, bf said he'd definitely add bacon next time as mine was crispy in my sandwich hash browns were crispy and the creamy lime cilantro sauce was so good with it. I also ordered a slice of the mocha tres leches cake...so good not overly sweet and mocha wasn't too strong. The cake was overly saturated with milk which I would've like but it had the right amount of moistness so not to make it soggy. All in all definitely reccomend this little gem of a cafe. Owners and staff are all friendly and the food and drinknwere fantastic. Definitely coming back for more cake!“

When I entered, the space was very clean, organized, and just very appealing to the eye. The aesthetic was very cute and definitely my vibe. They offer a bunch of different yummies including cookies, cake, cobbler, and of course, cupcakes. The lady was very sweet and helpful. I went with a dozen cupcakes. I got a variety of different flavors. I got red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, cookies & cream, and a few others.The cupcakes were so good!! “I've been going to both locations for years, but this one is more convenient for me. I love everything that they bake. My favorite is the cookies. But they also made my wedding cake. I made an appointment at the Torrance location for that. It was beautifully decorated just as I requested with different flavors on each tier: red velvet with cream cheese, yellow with strawberries and whip cream, and banana with custard. Everyone raved about it! Back to the cookies. I usually go to the Gardena location for my fix. They have a cookie special on Wednesday, but I can't remember what it is. The chocolate chip cookies are great. Pro tip: get the bag of cookies vs. individual ones for a better price. The fudge chews are a cross between a brownie and a cookie. We call them brookies. They make a maple one as well. But my favorite cookie is the peanut butter. They're slightly crispy but also soft. They also make great custom cookies and cakes, donuts, petit fours, small pastries. I'm sure there's something for everyone with a sweet tooth.“

I ordered the cake Friday afternoon and it was ready for pick-up Saturday morning... The bakery was not even a five minute drive from my house, lots of ample parking in the back, and the shop is too cute.. that whole area has lots of curb appeal... I don't ever drive that way (work in the opposite direction). The cake was adorable, it was perfect... it wasn't an elaborate cake, but it was perfect for me. I wasn't able to take any pictures, it was eaten in like, 2.4 seconds. I don't even like cake or sweets, but I liked that cake... The cake had lemon cream filling and vanilla frosting, it was moist and just very delicious... all the February birthday names fit perfectly and they loved it... one of my nieces kinda had a tear.. not sure cause I remembered her birthday or maybe because she was suppose to give up sweets for lent.. “Gemmae's has always been our go-to when it comes to family parties. We usually order the ube cheesecake and lumpia for pickup. The flavor and quality are always consistent, so we always go back. The online ordering system is very convenient; thus, picking it up at specific times has never been a problem! They use real ube, not those powder kinds they use at boba shops. I know.. I grew up mixing ube during fiestas in Silang, Cavite. The lumpia is excellent, too! The size is bigger than the typical lumpia from other Filipino joints. The inside of Gemmae's is excellent. However, there is no indoor dining, and it's solely for pick-up. One thing to note is the parking. It's situated in a small lot and can get full quickly. But there's plenty of free parking in the street. I will keep coming back here for our orders. The customer service is excellent, and the food/dessert is fantastic!“

We ordered the Frita Cubana, plátanos maduros, some pastelitos de Guayaba y Queso (Refugiados) and Pineapple. It seems as their pastries have a coconut and sugar wash to give the bits a different sweetness layer. We included each a Cortadito, which HIT the spot on a rainy afternoon. “I did a chocolate tasting through Groupon. It was such a unique experience! She goes over the chocolate making process and lets you sample some of the bars. Please note that it is mostly dark chocolate so if you do this tasting at night, it could affect your sleep since there is caffeine. I'm caffeine sensitive so i was WIRED lol. They have really unique flavors and it changes from time to time. I recommend checking them out!“
