“OMG 😳 The Ceviche (not counting my wife’s handmade ceviche) is the best I have ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of ceviche. It’s soooo good. I had the Mango 🥭 Avocado 🥑 Shrimp 🍤 Ceviche it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, I couldn’t stop eating it. Great tacos 🌮 everything was beyond my expectations. I have probably walked by Puesto’s a hundred times but not anymore it will be my restaurant of choice when in Concord you have to try it. Sorry no picture of the Ceviche 😋”

“Our first visit last night. If you want real Mexican food, this is the spot. We tried the Quesabirria and the street tacos and honestly it doesn’t get better than this. What really makes this place special is that it’s family owned and you can feel it. Mom is in the kitchen cooking everything herself and it shows. The food tastes cared for. And the margaritas were spot on too. Places like this are rare now. Honest food, warm people, and recipes that clearly matter to them. We’ll be back often.”

“There aren't enough stars to give this place. Family run and that's what you feel like when you go there. Buche, carnival, chicharones, chicken and ribs ( yes, ribs) are all outstanding. My neice comes back to CA from Austrailia and this is the place she wants to go. Even my buddy says it reminds him of how his grandparents cooked on their ranch in Jalisco. You absolutely will love this place. Do yourself a solid and get tortillas, they make them fresh every day.”

“I love Chowking! The meaty Beef Wonton Soup and their Chinese Style Fried Chicken are one of my favorites. The atmosphere at Chowking is always so great as well. The staff are kind and helpful. I would love to have a closer location near my home, though! I live in Lathrop, California, and with our large Filipino community, a Chowking would serve so many people here! “I ordered the mixed tacos with shrimp, fish, chicken, and chorizo. I really enjoyed the chicken and chorizo tacos—the seasoning was great, and the combination of meat and vegetables was delicious. The crispy tacos were especially tasty, and it’s nice that you can choose that style for all of them.

The shrimp tacos were good, but for my taste the shrimp were a little chewy and could have used a bit more seasoning.

Overall, the tacos were delicious, and I’d definitely recommend this restaurant. The place was clean, with enough seating for a group of four or at the bar. The staff were super friendly and happy to help with the menu.

“Pretty good. Crepe is bready, not thin or crunchy. They aint greedy with the strawberries. Crepe gets a 7/10 would be good again. The other one is got was nice and crunchy and light. Came with a scoop of ice cream. Went well. I was already full from the crepe so I wont really rate it but they had a lot of options. Try then out!”

The signature burger, made from organic quinoa and mushrooms is so much better for you than a burger made from meat. Same deal for the planet, with organic and 100% plant-based ingredients. Great chili verde burritos, always hot, fresh, pinto beans upon request, really nice people. Cinco sells enchilada sauce for people like me who like to make a tray of enchiladas at home to eat for a couple of fays. Reasonably priced.”

I came in the morning and ordered breakfast sandwiches, unfortunately I was disappointed with the eggs being over cooked and just not tasting as they normally do. I called right away and spoke with manager Sarah, she assured me that I could come back in anytime for replacements. I've heard this before from other places without any resolution but I figured I'd give them the opportunity to make it right.. I took them up on the offer after school pick up, except I really wasn't in the mood for eggs after the bite from earlier, employee Alexis went way above and beyond to make things right for us! Giving us even more than what I had asked be the replacement! Besides being very thrilled with the food given, I was even more impressed with Alexis, her attitude and understanding really made my day and the kids were happy with extra fries and nuggets she gave. We enjoyed our meal inside, and on the way home we passed a hungry man and his equally hungry dog, we had our fill and we were able to feed them as well. Good karma making its way around I guess, felt good being treated kindly and to pass the kindness along. Thank you Sarah, Alexis and the rest of the crew for treating us so amazing today! “Simple deli with imported Italian goodies. It seemed family owned and like they had regulars. Really nice people and community vibe. There are many sandwiches to choose or you can make your own. We got one muffuletta and one turkey bacon with pesto, mayo, cheese, and veggies. The gardenia on the muffuletta was delicious! Tangy, flavorful, and chunky. We tried the sourdough roll and it absorbed the gardenia juice really well and not soggy. The turkey was loaded! We got the Dutch crunch bread. Both were very good, bread was amazing I could just eat the roll. I can’t wait to go back.”

Since they reopened, they are closed on Monday’s, our usual day so it’s been 3 years since we’ve been there. They still recognized us though! We ordered as we walked in so the wait wasn’t long at all.”

This is a small family-owned restaurant where the husband cooks, and the wife, Clair, hosts. They are both very professional and coordial individuals. The place is small, but their food is full of flavor.

I highly recommend the Thai Table Oak Grove restaurant.”

This is a simple dining area with peanuts while waiting and an assortment of condiments to accommodate your meal. Unfortunately, Concord is their only location still in business for California.”

We had grilled pork Vietnamese sandwiches, grilled pork vermicelli bowl, spring rolls, and BBQ pork and wonton pho. (can you tell we love grilled pork?) the pork was delicious! The sandwiches were not dry. We completely enjoyed our meal and had a very nice time together. I would highly recommend this place for both dining in and takeout.”

“Free parking, clean place, safe neighborhood. The food was ok. Portions were not really big, but adequate. My issue was with the chili peppers in the kung Pao chicken. As the picture shows, there was way too many - and this is not chewable, you need to set them aside. There were so many chili peppers , it occupied 1/3 of the tiny individual serving plate.”

“I went to this place on Friday night to see a rock show. It was an Ozzy Osbourne tribute band. The place is your classic dive bar. There was a large stage on one end, and there were a lot of people walking around in costume because it was near Halloween. The band was pretty good. There was lots of standing room and a few tables. They’re probably should’ve been more tables because they were also serving food and people were standing around eating it. I’m a non-drinker and I had already eaten so I can’t comment to the quality of the food or the alcoholic drinks. I can’t say it was a fun place and the people that worked there were nice. The sound was pretty good and the decor was cool.

The ratio of fat to meat was divine in its flavor, and the onions and aioli set off all the flavors. 5 out of 5 ⭐️ Next was the Bruselas (crispy Brussels Sprouts) tossed in honey Dijon with pistachios! Sí!! Bravo!! Each sprout was cut in half lengthwise, and the layers were opened so the flavor permeated the entire piece of sprout, yummy! Nice touch and not too sweet. It was served a little cooler than what I would have preferred. 4 out of 5 ⭐️ Both tapas were generous portions and served as my meal for the evening. I ordered the Beet Salad to go. It’s done with mixed greens, roasted beets, red onion, feta cheese, almonds, with lemon vinaigrette on the side. I had a sneak peek and it proves to be delicious and so darn healthy! 5 out of 5 ⭐️”

“Been wanting to try this location since mom said they give you so much and it’s delicious. My sister ordered their short rib stew (one with cheese and one without), fried chicken and the jap chae. For drink: we tried the lychee soju. The short rib stew with no cheese is sweet. The meat falls of the bone tender. So good. Also tried the one with cheese, it just not as sweet but it’s as tender. Yummy. Would I go back yes. But I do recommend to make reservations. The place was quite busy. The service was excellent.”

“I can’t say anything bad about this place. Located in a mall in Concorde, CA. The seafood selection were excellent. I stayed with the seafood exclusively. All you can eat snow crab legs steamed, fried crab legs, oysters, mussels, shrimp, sushi bar, etc. Our used empty plates were taken off the tables promptly. Magnificent!”

“Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream is amazing. We always saw the long lines at The Veranda and finally decided to try it, and now we get it. The flavors are wild in the best way. Anything with chocolate, peanut butter, or cake? Game-changer.

It might’ve been the sugar talking, but everything we tried was next-level. Prices are fair, portions are solid, and the taste speaks for itself. What really stood out was the customer service. Even as the line grew behind us, the person helping us stayed calm, friendly, and didn’t rush us, just good energy all around. It’s order and sit outside spot so definitely know what you want and plan where you’re sitting after or before.
