Sadly, this place is no longer in business. It was great food. The bakery is open during the week only.

Our first attempt to try this place out. It was randomly closed, with no note on the door as to why. I won't make a special trip to this restaurant again, as it was out of our way to come here.

I was shopping at the Park and Shop strip mall and saw a large window sign advertising alfajores - one of my favorite types of cookies - and I couldn't resist wandering into Izcalli. The restaurant space is large and appears to be part restaurant, part bakery.Upon entering, I was greeted by the friendly owner, who explained the different types of alfajores and confections. I purchased coconut alfajores and some Mexican candies to try. Most of the baked goods were individually packaged, but I think most were baked in-store.The alfajores were just as good as I had hoped - rich and smooth dulce de leche was sandwiched between buttery, sandy cookies and rolled in coconut flakes. I noticed that Izcalli also sold chocolate alfajores (among various other flavors and pastries), which I will have to try on my next visit.

Izcalli opened here recently, joining Casa Del Alfajor & Rico Pan Bakery. Oscar was an co-owner of the Santa Torta food truck until he sold his shares to open Izcalli.service was quick as Oscar told me about his birria journey and his visions for Izcalli. the walls have some nice artwork.offerings: ice cream, tacos, tortas, noodles, aquachile, flats, tacos dorados, taco asides, alfajores, aqua fresca, Chile rellenos, specials of the day.eats: birria torta (15)-in a sourdough roll with cilantro, barrio, cilantro, citrus pickled onions, red salsa, jalapeños within. accompanied by a cup of authentic Jalisco-Style consome. with freshly fried pinwheels on the side.-made from a pioneer of barria & quesabirrias trend in the Bay Area, this eat is lit! authentic, flavorful! worthy!*birria tender, flaky, juicy. Consume beefy broth. An upgrade from traditional fillings of hot dogs, ham slices, tomato's, cheese, etc.drink: mango aqua fresca (3)-from fresh mango, not from concentrate. tasted slightly sweet naturally. no added sugar. leftovers:-lots of parking in lot-thinking of aquachiles next time.

This is a hidden gem. Almost tempted not to mention them. Their food is amazing. We have gone several times and each time it’s great. The Birria torte and red tacos are amazing. Privately owned. Soooooo good and there is a bakery in there too! Owners super nice.

I had the chicken soft tacos. They were delicious. The price is very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant.

If you love yummy Mexican food, pastries, and ice cream, then izcalli and Casa Del Alfajor got you! Yep, it's a restaurant + cafe + bakery in one. The Birria Torta and their famous Red Tacos - fried crispy with birria was definitely my favorite. If you like French-dipped sandwiches, then you'll probably like the torta ahogada - it's a Mexican dipped torta. Their agua fresca was so refreshing. You can add ice cream to your agua fresca, and we sure did! Horchata with passion fruit ice cream was my favorite. Their pastries, bread, and desserts are freshly made in-house. The chocoflan, alfajores, and cinnamon churros are all delicious, don't forget to order some tea or coffee with them. Last but not least, izcalli specializes in goat birria, if you're a fan. You gotta check it out.

OMG I feel like these are the best vegan beyond meat tacos I've ever had anywhere! I don't know if it's the or the way they cooked it or the love they put into it but it was so good I did not want to share. also, the staff is super friendly they went above and beyond and did extra just to make sure our food was fresh and hot. It took me over an hour to get here so they made my food again, which they did not have to do! so amazing and honestly I was so surprised at how cute and clean it was inside super big, super new and super friendly. I even bought some of the vegan grocery items and I really wanted to get some of the pastries don't be shy like I was because I didn't want to call but I'm so glad I did because they told me about the secret menu which had the Chile relleno tacos and the beyond meat tacos with the red sauce. Bestttttt tacos I've had!!! Please support and check them out! Ooh extra positive vibes bc a girl begins me also ordered the vegan beyond meat tacos and said she already knew! Yummmmm!

We got the birria stir fry, and the birria torta ($15 each). The stir fry came with a MASSIVE amount of noodles. I ate it for 4 meals. I think because they gave so much noodles, it made the birria look like not that much, but it was probably a good amount for 1 meal, then you have 3 meals left of just noodles. It looked a little dry, but it tasted pretty good. They give you a green sauce that's tasty, and a spicy chili sauce that was insanely hot. I think the dish would have been better if they added veggies to balance out the huge amount of noodles. Overall it was pretty good, especially when I added my own toppings/meat at home. The birria torta tasted decent. The sourdough bread was really soft and fresh. Inside was pretty much birria and a tiny amount of onions. Much more onions would have been nice. Their birria dipping sauce is very oily. Overall, I thought their birria meat was decent but I've had better. Its like the marinade didn't seep into the meat as much. It wasn't bad, just I don't think I'd pay $15 for it. It took a long time to get our food. Besides us, there was just one small table of 2-3 people and nobody else, and it took 25 minutes to get our food. Normally birria places are fast because its already cooked. Inside there are tables, but they have loud music blasting, and also leave the door open when it was freezing outside, so not the most comfortable.

We were looking to try something new on our latest trip to Concord, and we're so glad we did. The Birria Noodles sounded like an interesting fusion of Mexican and Asian cuisine, and honestly, they were the perfect match. The delicious birria consomé paired so well with the noodles, and the smoky, spicy seasoning made it all so flavorful. The portions are quite large, so be prepared to take some home with you. They've only been open a couple of weeks as of this writing, so the market and the restaurant still feel a bit empty, but don't let that fool you. The food is incredible, and the desserts from the bakery all look amazing. We brought some alfajores home for later, and they were a huge hit too. Be sure to drop in and give this place a shot. We will definitely be back.

Easily one of my favorite places in Concord right now. I've never had flavors like this and Im definitely sharing with all the homies over the bay because the food here is legit and the chef puts a lot of time and love into each dish he creates for you. I loved the Birria noodles and Tortas, it's a thing of magic. Me and my friend got a full spread because so much on the menu was too hard to pass up. If you get the chance to get dessert, there was some ice cream on top of a warm cookie and lowkey, this is my new favorite dessert. Lol. Its a true hidden gem in Concord so dont pass it up! Its found inside the bakery next to Goodwill so if you think you missed it, ya didn't! There's so many options for Mexican cuisine but this is one you dont want to and SHOULDNT miss out on.
