Here's the skinny on Castañedas on 6th Street. First off, it's open 24 hours which is pretty convenient. The staff said they get kinda busy at 2 am full of party goers so go at your own risk in the late hours We ordered the carne asada fries and my kids loved them. I personally wish they were a little crispier so the crisp could hold up a little better to the mountain of ingredients that go on top. But my boys are too busy scarfing them down to know better. This place is tucked in a corner across the street from city hall and has plenty of parking nearby. You can either be a lazy person like myself and drive through, or dine in. The place itself is a bit quiet but seems to be well taken care of. Friendly staff btw! I really enjoy that everyone is personable and are glad to see you. Been here many times and it's always a good atmosphere no matter what time of day. Definitely a favorite location of mine. The food is always good, and especially the waters and drinks. The workers are good people and always have time for my questions about the menu.
