“Birthday dinner for wife with friends. We were visiting from SF & friends recommended this place - one is a trained chef. Firstly, ambience was OK. They did festively decorate our table which was a nice touch. Our wait staff, Tommy, was attentive without being intrusive. What was ordered: Appetizers: 1/2 dozen oysters (nothing spectacular); onion soup (Ok) Main: filet mignon - described by our friend as outstanding; bone-in rib eye described as very good; salmon - “good”; sea bass - VERY rich miso butter sauce Sides: grilled asparagus - very poorly trimmed. It was so woody that it was unpalatable; creamed corn - very good. Dessert: creme brûlée - nothing spectacular; espresso cake - tasty. Service was outstanding. As soon as I commended to Tommy about the asparagus, a suited gentleman (manager? head wait staff??) promptly checked in on our table & service recovery was excellent! All in all, grateful to have been able to celebrate wife's b-day with her best friend & her hubby. Otherwise, nothing to write home about.“

“Taste of Beauty deserves a 1 Michelin star for their superb presentation, flavorful & innovative vegan dishes, the serene atmosphere, excellent service and overall beautiful restaurant. A special shoutout to Anthony for his thorough explanation of the different stories behind the names and the 8 dishes and for George Guo for his unique tea ceremony. Bravo!“

“Amazing Valentine’s weekend dinner! Six courses made for a most Indulgent Aphrodisiac’s menu created by Chef Tony. The plating was exquisite, service very attentive, and relatively low-carb, very copicetic with my diabetic precautions. The French Chardonnay we had enjoyed was lovely, paired well particularly with the scallop crudo, oyster and lobster dishes. It was also a pleasure to meet and chat with Yassmin, the co-owner and wife of Chef Tony. We are planning to dine here again, next time for The restaurant’s High Tea, which is offered on Sunday afternoons.“
