This is not a review for the hotel itself, just for the restaurant. The food itself should actually be a 4-star review as far as the freshness, quality, and portion size. If you were staying here, you could be satisfied by just eating here if you were not looking to do something special. Breakfast was about $20pp. not including tax, tip or drinks. The ambiance is just regular Marriott Hotel vibes, nothing even trying to make it exceptional, more just functional to serve the guests. The bus-girl who was helping us was brand new, and she really tried hard to do a good job. We all so appreciated her efforts. She was nice and very accommodating to our table. Please let her know that we thought she was great. But this is not what I would call a real restaurant in the same way as I would see a standalone place. We did run out of water and coffee a couple of times. They did end up refilling eventually, but it took longer than it should have. When we were winding down our server didn't ask if we wanted more coffee/water. He had also said that the kitchen was closing so nothing else could be ordered. We arrived at 10:30am so I'm sure that they had a cut off. But on a Sunday Brunch, it seemed a bit early for the cut-off time. So, good overall if you are staying there and don't want to go out. But I would not go there just to eat. So, the atmosphere, the service, the small selection size on the menu makes this a 3-star rating. The Marriott in Irvine does a full Sunday Brunch. We thought that this address did as well, but sadly, that was not the case. It looked like it on the website. But hey, at least I got to do another review for all of you. Hope that helps.

Enjoyed a side of breakfast sausages and bacon. Sausages were a good size and had a little spice/pepper... Just the right amount. Bacon was crispy & nice and salty.Ordered both at the aMuse restaurant inside the Marriott, but cost wise it's better to pay for the buffet (which is in a separate room). The only downside for the buffet is the sausage/bacon/ham rotates each day.Nice service, clean and bright space.

We were looking for an excellent brunch location for Mother's Day. We figured a hotel near South Coast Plaza should be a safe bet. We saw the menu online, and it looked great, and we got "reservations" through Open Table. Well, we arrived, and it was not what we expected. Unlike other big hotel chains, the "restaurant" was an eating space. They did not have the full menu on the weekends. And the buffet was simple and very basic. Their restaurant should not be on OpenTable--it is misleading. It is not like the Water Grill, which is in The Westin. We made lemonade out of lemons because we knew that at least we were together as a family. aMuse is good for hotel guests, but it doesn't merit being on OpenTable. It is misleading.

It is a hotel restaurant. Nothing too fancy. The food was ok, I wouldn't call it a bistro, more like a sports bar. The great thing about it, is the bartender Marie, she is great and very nice. We will go back for drinks for sure.
