A great spot here in Costa Mesa! They apparently host quite a few pop-up restaurants, which I attended today - Mama Dang's. It's a smaller spot with a small parking lot in the back. I found that a bit stressful, so I went for the larger lot across the street. There's a large dining room inside that's reminiscent of a coffee shop, and a good amount of tables outside. This is by far my favorite wine bar! It is so cozy and cute with the best vibes, music, wine and employees! They have a great selection of natural wines and snacks, as well as a little store attached to buy a bottle to take home. I always look forward to coming back!

I've been wanting to check out Semi Tropic for a while! We came on a Friday night which meant difficult to find parking in their tiny lot, but no worries. We made it in. :) We ordered two glasses of their "disco wine" which the server described as their nicer wine. The price on the menu was listed as market price .... We didn't ask details, just paid. The total for two glasses came out to $45.99!!!! I later saw that included a 20% gratuity for pouring wine that we weren't informed...read full review
