Jim catered a milestone bday party I hosted for my husband. Referred by long time customers who have eaten there for years. From the initial contact to the day of, Jim was very responsive, easy to go over the food and timing (first time catering at my house) and just made the whole process seamless. I can't tell you how many times I drove past this place, caught a glimpse of the "BBQ" sign and got all excited only to find out they were closed. But, instead of leaving them an undeserved 1-Star rating, I made a mental note of their business hours and carried on until one day last week, I realized I was in the area and it was before 3pm. I drove up, found parking on the street right in front, and wished I had taken a look at their menu before I got to the window to order....read full review

I am honored to be one of Jim's original customers when he was on Culver Bl. The food at Santa Maria BBQ is outstanding. The tri tip is authentic.
