“The place is small it is more for take-out. The menu is very traditional Mexican, it reminds me of Monterrey. Places that I used to go to when I lived in Mexico. My go-to order are the Carne Asada Tacos. I like them because the corn tortillas are made in house. The salsas are good and you can get a small serving of pinto beans.I also like the Chicken Enchiladas Plate or the Carne Asada Plate. The servings are good, the food is fresh, and the service is good.Try the Aguas Frescas if you aren't a soda person.Parking is limited, find street parking and avoid the headache.“
“I attend a family gathering, they served food from HomeState that was so delicious, I just had to write about it. A pre-order for 2 dozen tacos, tortilla chips and toppings was served. The tortillas were handmade and filled with a variety of protein, cheese and beans. Each was individually wrapped in foil and clearly labeled for your convenience. The food has a "Texas" flair to it, featuring brisket, pinto or black beans, diced potatoes, pickled red onions, Pico de Gallo, and vegetarian options too. I chose the "Don't Mess with Texas" soft taco. It was filed with Charro beans, bacon, potatoes and cheddar cheese. You can also buy a dozen flour tortillas as a side and save them for the next day! So worth the price ($8 a dozen). They are open 7 days a week, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try them and you will want to go back for more. Don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!“
“Wow. The Percheron Burrito. It's so good and bad all in one - a bacon wrapped Sonoran style burrito. This thing shouldn't even be legal! From a flavor and foodie experience standpoint, this is a must try. Inside your bacon wrapped burrito is either chicken (my choice), carne Asada, or Al pastor along with queso blanco, tomatoes, sliced avacado, and finished with chipotle mayo. Pure deliciousness, but obviously nothing healthy about it besides the protein. This could become THE iconic LA burrito. A must try.“
“I am so happy to have found a place close to home that has delicious fish tacos, garlic parmesan fries, fish n chips, and creamy clam chowder. I will be going back to try more from the menu, but the fish n chips and fish tacos were enough to make me a regular customer!!!“
“Pinches is already my favorite lunch spot, but I ordered catering from the Culver City location for a birthday party, and I'm so glad I did! Food was delicious as always, and all of the guests asked where it was from and raved about it. Price was very reasonable, and we had tons of leftovers. Jorge, who managed the catering order was helpful, quick and accommodating. Would definitely get catering from Pinches again!“
“Great affordable prices for quality!! Fish tacos were huge! They actually forgot to add the salsa so it tasted a bit off. Should have realized it! But all in all still delicious with a perfect crunch.Nachos were also fantastic with the different cheeses and spicyyy salsa. The scallions were a new thang I never thought tot try on loaded nachos but it compliments it very well.Parking: easy if you park at the huge plaza where sprouts is. Less than a 5-10 min walk. Otherwise streeet/metered parking and paid parking structures all over downtown“
“Been on my list to visit ever since I arrived in LA and it did not disappoint. I ordered the fire-grilled shrimp & swai (seasonal menu) well-done with added avocado and it tasted so good. For me, there was enough protein to balance out the rice and I had half Cajun half garlic butter sauce which worked so well with the fish and shrimp. My only qualm is that I wish they gave you more sauce as it didn't really cover much.“
“Really impressed with the food at this restaurant.. great flavors and simple menu items. I was a huge fan of the red salsa .. will definitely be asking for a bucket next of it next time. Fair warning the "black" salsa is HOT.. use with caution. Can't say much about the ambience since I ordered take out but the location is super cute! Lots of window shopping around the area.“
