With very limited menu, ordered crab, but it was out. Even some drinks were not available. Food was average at best, and expensive.

This is a branch of Koie Palace. The environment is decent, and the service is good. Compared to the Milpitas branch, the storefront is much smaller. The food is decent, classic Cantonese cuisine. However, compared to other branches, there are fewer choices of live seafood, no aquarium, no crabs, only 2 or 3 types of live fish available.

I just came to this restaurant with my family (9 people) we ordered a variety of dishes including the braised short rib, soup dumplings, color soup dumplings, lobster har gow, beef potstickers, quinoa and corn rice, soft shell crab, and char siu pork. All the food was excellent! I was really surprised by the quality of the food and the service based on the “mixed” reviews on here. I would definitely recommend coming to this place with large groups. The attention was spot on. They also provided hot tea consistently and checked in on us to see if we needed more drinks, water, etc.Would definitely come back here and hope more people are able to enjoy their food and service!

My friends and I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We had previously made a reservation and were seated upon arrival. Koi Palace here has two different restaurants: the full scale one & the express. The express restaurant is in the front. The regular restaurant is towards the back next to the Thai restaurant. Food: We ordered a number of different dim sum dishes. You mark a menu with the items you're interested in. I particularly enjoyed the tofu and mushroom stir fried dish and the vegetarian baos. The items are a bit pricey though. You're really paying for the ambience. Service: Service was as expected as a dim sum restaurant. We were served the food as they were ready. Some items took longer than others. It was close to closing by the time we finished so we could see the staff starting to clean up and eat their lunch. TL;DR - not a bad dim sum experience but a little pricey.

Wow! this place serves up some seriously tasty dim sum, and very fast service! The XLB is perfect for the cold weather. Very clean inside and the light is bright, making it a great spot for hanging out with friends or going on a date. Definitely recommend to anyone craving authentic dim sum foods!

The 4 of us came here for lunch. The restaurant is not fancy and a bit run down in the main dining area. We ordered quite a bit of food. $39 Wagyu noodles - 0 star -3 pieces of chewy beef and oily noodles zero flavor 5 flavor dumplings - 4 stars - flavorful and unique. The sticky rice in banana leaves were 4 stars. The scallops fried rice - 2 star had zero flavor. We do not recommend and will not return.

This place is a joke. It took them 30 minutes to give the order to the kitchen. There are a bunch of dim sum places in Bay Area so do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Overbooked. I made a reservation a month in advance but was still arranged to wait outside the store. Only one dish was served an hour, and the last dish was served between 6:30 and 8:50. There is not enough manpower in the restaurant to accept so many customers.

Foos is good here, service is okay. If you discount the fact the beginning of our meal was served completely out of order it was fine. I have always believed koi palace is overpriced. That’s just my humble opinion. For the prices they charge I expect much better service, especially on a weekday.

I would give 0 star if I could. My family came here this past Friday (Chinese New Year Eve) for dinner. We sat down at 5:30 pm and did not leave until 8:45 pm. I understand the restaurant was busy with all the tables taken as it was Chinese New Year. But it took a long time for the first dish to be served, we waited for 1 hour!! The owners were greedy to make more money as they also took to go orders. So the kitchen must be swamped with so many orders. All the tables around us were having the same issue with food not showing up. We had to keep asking for missing dishes!! The food portion was small and overpriced. We got charged 18% service charge plus a 4% wellness charge. Service was so bad, definitely not worth 22% charge!! I would not come back here again and would tell my friends to stay away from this place!

I think this is my bf's and my fav dim sum place in the south bay area. I would def recommending planning and grabbing a reservation beforehand bc u will be stuck at the high seats next to the door where it's cold when it's busy. We ordered the pan seared XLB dumplings which i really enjoyed, i also really liked the Yuba Roll in Supreme broth, the lobster hargow was fine, the black swan in taro is interesting bc it had a crunchy exterior like an asian cookie with the taro interior which is soft and warm. The black swan in shrimp looked similar but with shrimp. I didnt get to try the waygu dumpling but i bet they r good!! Def recommend to check out :)

Super overpriced and small portions. The food is pretty good but not at those prices, and service was terrible. They even had an extra fee on the receipt for no reason. I've been twice and I think their portion size and service really went downhill. I probably won't return.

3.5 stars Koi Palace Contempo comes from the same family as the acclaimed Cantonese restaurant in Daly City but, as its name suggest, has a bit of a modern, high-end flair. A number of dim sum dishes were offered on the menu for dinner, and we started with the crunchy jellyfish/wakame salad and the hard, crunchy Typhoon Prawn Dumplings. The Seafood & Fish Maw Broth was a gelatinous soup made with luxurious fish maw; and the Pea Shoot Tendril was a simple but very tasty stir-fry of pea shoots with garlic. For our mains, the Apple Wood Smoked Peking Duck came beautifully plated on a large square platter. On one side were slices of boneless breast meat topped with skin (from which the fat had been carefully scraped), and on the other was bone-in dark meat topped with a duck leg. The platter also came with condiments of radish, scallions, cucumbers, and hoisin sauce, along with a stack of thin pancakes for making rolls. The duck itself was rather bland and not the best I've had, but the presentation of this dish was truly memorable. Finally, one of the tastiest dishes we had was the Seafood Treasure Pot, a claypot of shrimp, calamari, scallops, abalone, shiitake mushrooms, and fried tofu, all braised in a thick, savory brown sauce. Overall, the food here was decent though not outstanding, but the service was slow and not the most friendly. Perhaps their dim sum service would be more promising to come for.
