Avoid ordering beltfish (带鱼) in this restaurant. I ordered this dish, and yes, it’s beltfish indeed, but made from tiny feltfish you couldn't believe.

Authentic Beijing food. Recommend lamb hotpot and Peking duck (though the latter requires preorder).

Food was good and in good portions. My mother in law who was from Beijing LOVED the string beans and said it tasted like how they make it back home. LOL I couldn't tell the difference other than it's a yummy dish. We, of different generations including teenagers, all liked every dish we ordered. Service was great. The waitress gave us good recommendations and told us to just sit back and she would serve the soup for us. Overall we had a great experience.

Used to be my favorite, not any more:( It’s getting increasingly expensive with quality dropped..

Ordered on UberEats a few times but this's what I got for my most recent order - rotten tofu wrap, stale onions and shredded potatoes and dough drop soup without dough. I would seriously ask the owner of this restaurant to stop serving customers if you don't have a heart to do it, please give your business to restaurant owners who have a heart to run it. Please don't poison your customers and please don't put humiliation to Chinese cuisine!

They used to have the best Rou jia mo in the Bay Area, but today it tasted like someone dropped an entire bag of salt into the filling. The new thinner bread is pretty good, but the filling is completely inedible. Please bring back the old recipe. It was awesome.

The cumin lamb is the bestest thing in the planet. Love, love , love this dish .....Tried some other dishes too, like the kung pao chicken and soups, but it's always going to be the lamb for us.

The environment was nice and tidy. There were a few signs of XX HuTong on the wall. I had no ideas where those Hutongs were and what they meant, but they gave me a feel of the good old days in the 80s back in China.Food was clean and just seemed to be what they should be. It took more than an hour for the duck to be ready, and the duck tasted good. Nothing was too spicy or salty or oily. I like the boiled lamb the most, simple, unpretentious, yet confident.

Wanted to meet some old friends at this old restaurant which we frequent before, but the restaurant called back and asked us to preorder their roasted duck or the reservation wouldn’t be respected. So they have to earn that 80$ at the expense of annoying its loyal customers…

One of the best Beijing restaurants in the Bay Area imo. Peking duck is a must try (you need to make advanced reservation). Other dishes are also super authentic and tasty.

We ordered takeout in person. The service was fast & efficient. The vibe was clean, traditional Chinese. Next time we'll sit down for a proper meal!We ordered a bunch of dishes! The lamb skewers were tasty and delicious. The spicy griddled tofu was outstanding. The flavors were unique. The hot Beijing spices were wondrous and appetizing!Loved the chow mein and sweet & sour pork! There was a nuanced Beijing authenticity to the flavor that was absolutely delectable!Would order everything again! Woohoo!

Horrible service but it's probably the most authentic Beijing restaurant in the area. So what is Beijing restaurants famous for other than peking duck? Organ meats..... because when the food was prepared for the emperor, they would take the best parts of the animal and the "regular" people figured out how to make tasty food with the parts of the animal that wasn't used. Come here to try items that aren't in the typical chinese menu.

Food tastes so bad!!! Unbelievable salty. And the duck was already cold when served and not fresh at all. Not recommended.
