Tasty and not too expensive.

This review won't be that in depth, mostly for my own reference. Keep in mind my perspective comes from a middle eastern palateFood:1- Cooked Lion Roll: As somebody who doesn't eat raw fish, this was great for me! Very large portion and quite filling. Taste was average to slightly above average.2- #49 Sea Food Soup: I got medium spicy which made my nose runny. Didn't distract from the flavor though! Thought it was awesome. 3- They serve you unlimited green tea! Very kind but be weary of drinking too much.Service:They have little buttons at each table that you can click when you need something. Very helpful. I only noticed it at the end of my meal so it wasn't as helpful for me. Ambiance:It's off to the side inside if the main store. No wait on a Saturday at like 2PM.Parking:Parking is HORRIBLE! But do-able if you're brave (like me). I went on a Saturday midday and there were a lot of shoppers so the parking lot was quite packed.Over all I wouldn't get these dishes again because I want to try other foods on the menu, there was so much to choose from and I got overwhelmed.

Been here a couple of times. It's tiny inside, and it has a very Korean homey feeling. It's located in side the Kukje Market. Reminds me of the korean dramas I used to watch. The service is good. They're very attentive to their customers. The food is good too. The stone pot foods are my favorite since I love my food super hot.

This place is decent. But they have off and on days in terms of food taste....some days they're good some other they're forgetting to season things so all you get is watered-down diluted dishes...sometimes when you order fried things you can taste a burnt flavor because they forgot to change the deep fryer's oil. When they're on top of everything they really do have good food.....but when they're not, their food quality really goes down.

My friend and I went for some Korean food just after 8 pm and were met with a scowl from kitchen staff and rudeness from our waitress. Instead of greeting us, she frowned and just told us we'd have to order quick and be out by 8:45 (but your big glaring sign sign says 9)? Never once did she say a friendly word to either of us. She appeared annoyed and that we were a huge pain in the as* to her and the entire staff.Pre-pandemic i used to love this little place and even thought it was "cute" but I won't ever be back after the way we were treated. Also, there was so much salt or msg on my $18 soup and my friend paid $30 for her meal. This is Way too expensive for a tiny hole in the wall restaurant parked in a grocery store.PS. in reading other reviews, sounds like people who were disappointed with their experience didn't leave a good tip. A tip is voluntary based on how generous the customer is feeling and their experience.

My favorite Korean fried chicken is made here (original hot & sweet spicy).

I really like their kimchi because it is really mild. Came to eat the fried chicken choices: chicken meat, drumette, wings, or mix? Got the mix. Yummy, very hot. It's not that greasy. Got seafood tofu soup. Yummy, too. Comes with rice and bancha. Bancha is a small plate of kim chi, cuttle fish, bean sprouts, and beancurd. Complimentary tea. The lady single-handed covering all the tables. Taking orders, serving, and clearing. Amazing.

Kukje Market relocated from the outer SF years ago and I never knew they relocated to nearby Daly City until a few years ago. Interior could use a good update though they seem to keep everything clean. It's one of those markets where you have to know what you're looking for in food products or prepare to look over the whole store to find it. They are our go-to for pre-marinated Korean short ribs to throw on the grill. And our go-to for banchans like seaweed salad, spicy cucumber or regular Kimchi, soy sauce boiled eggs or anchovies, etc. Steam a pot of rice, kimchi, seaweed salad, and that's a quick meal any day of the week! This is also where I first experienced Korean fried chicken and it's pretty good for takeout for a snack or add to a meal. I love that they've added more meals to go like bulgogi, Kalbijjim, teriyaki beef or chicken, Katsu, or Unagi rice bowls. Their newest addition is house-made broths and soups in the cold section to take home. The pork and beef broths are pretty good, clean & tasty. This is also next to the section where you pick up their signature kimbabs for beef, chicken or, my fav, veggie kimbab. Their ice cream selection is great for mango, lychee, coconut, jackfruit and occasionally durian! Also great is their ramen selections. Their bulk ramens are in front of the checkout area. Picked up marinated soy sauce eggs and some green produce today! I do need to get used to today's sticker shock on their hot rice bowls, fried chicken wings, but this is every where not just Kukje. Great place for a quick hot meal when you don't want to cook. Cashing out is quick and easy. I like that They'll open a new lane if they see the queues growing. Like most Asian markets I do try to go early or late in the day to dodge the crowds. Kukje Market is on my regular rotation of Asian markets for groceries and hot to-go takeout. There's parking in front or at the parking lot across the way. See you there!

Kukje Market Restaurant is a convenient restaurant located within the Korean supermarket which serves a nice variety of Korean foods. They start everyone off with a cup of hot tea as well as a tray of banchan per person. The banchan has four items, each of which I found quite enjoyable. There are a good variety of food to the menu here including kalbi, japchae, soondubu, korean fried chicken, bibimbap, and much more. The prices can be a slight bit higher than other places. I usually opt for their soondubu which is a delicious spicy tofu stew with a decent amount of ingredients inside. They offer a raw egg and white rice on the side with each stew. It's nothing exceptional but is still pretty good overall. The real draw is really having a convenient sit down spot to enjoy a good meal before or after doing some grocery shopping.

After we were done eating the server chased us down the supermarket and was yelling "whats your problem!?!" We asked what's wrong because we have no idea why she's yelling at us then told us that it was about the tip we gave....

Stopped in for a very late lunch/early dinner the other day while shopping. The menu is quite large and service was quick. When we arrived we were one of two tables but a few other parties came in while we were there. I had the stone pot bibimbap w/beef and my SO had sushi which was three large rolls (tuna, cucumber and avocado IIRC). Prices are a little high but portions are large so you could easily have enough for a second meal if you're not a big eater or super hungry. Both meals came with miso soup and banchan with kimchi, cuttlefish, broccoli and tofu and sesame bean sprouts. Everything was good. My bibimbap was piping hot with a nice crispy rice bottom, the veggies were fresh and the meat was tasty. My SO liked his sushi as well. I'm sure we will be back.

It has been a long time since i came here to eat. Decided to came back for dinner before shopping around at Kukje market especially that this restaurant is inside the supermarket. I had the tofu combination soup and kimbob. I do like their kimbob. But I thought their tofu soup was alright. It has an okay flavor. There was only one waitress so since this was unstaffed, it might take a while for her to come to your table to take your order. Othe than that, this place is decent but i am willing to try other dishes in near future

More like 3.5 stars. This was not the best Korean food I've ever had but it's not the worst. The tofu stew was good, all the side dishes including kimchi tasted fine and so was the Kal Bi. All the servers were nice. Most customers likely come here only if they're already shopping inside the Kukje Grocery store and want the convenience of cooked Korean cuisine. But without the hassle of driving into San Francisco and having to pay for parking. Parking is free but the lot is very small. When you're done dining in here you'll still have food to take home from groceries you've purchased in the market.
