Ordered the shrimp imperial roll, beef brisket pho and bun bo hue. Everything was delicious. I particularly enjoy how clean and fresh the food was. My 4 year old even complimented the chef :DService was great. Atmosphere is relaxing. There are 5 TVs so I’m sure you won’t miss the news, sporting event, etc

Ideally, I would give it 3.5 on 5 stars, since that isn't an option, I am giving it 4.Parking can be a challenge, and my experience is with takeout.Service staff was pleasant and welcoming, food prep time on the quick to very efficient, and food was well presented for takeout. However, in a city of so many banh-mi's, this ones middle of the pack, average. It's solid if you are hungry and happen to be in the area, but not quite special enough to warrant a trip to experience it.I tried the tofu banh mi and the spring rolls, which had all the trappings you expect. However, my partner pointed out that the ingredients felt lower quality (esp. the bread and tofu), and the pickled carrots were on the sweeter side. It needed a balance.Would I return? Sure, if I needed a quick snack in a hangry moment, but Banh Mi Love, Dinosaurs and so many other alternatives do a much better job.

Came to Mama Tran's on a whim as it was a cold evening and we were in the mood for some hot pho. We were able to easily find parking on Mission and there were plenty of seats available when we came in. The restaurant has a nice layout with a big open bar area right in the center which I thought was a cool concept. We decided to order some fried veggie spring rolls, fresh pork and shrimp rolls, and a couple bowls of pho. I liked that the noodles in the pho were freshly cooked and not all stuck together like at some other places. They also had a good portion of meat in the bowl. The broth was good but my husband and I both agreed that it could have been just a tad bit more umami. The fresh spring rolls were good but I thought the peanut sauce was a little on the bland side. We finished off our meal with an order of their banana cake. The cake is served hot but it tastes way better cold - better to get it to go and stick it in your fridge for later.

It was a chilly day and it felt like a good day to have pho, so we decided to check out Mama Tran's. We found parking quick and easy on side streets. Walking in, it had a cafe vibe to it though it looked like it was once a bar which took up the center of this place. It felt cozy and welcoming as was the service. Only a few patrons were there when we arrived, so we were able to choose our own table. Lots of options on their menu, but I had my heart set on pho. B2 - BEEF RIB PHO: I was recovering from a cold, so I ordered a beef rib pho. I asked if they served wider rice noodles, but they don't. However, she gave me the option to choose egg noodles or regular pho noodles. I felt like trying the egg noodles. The flavorful soup really warmed me up and it made me feel better. I got a pretty big bone as well. Luckily, my bf had silverware, so i was able to cut the meat off. Otherwise, it would have been a messy struggle. The rib was tender, though it wasn't quite falling off the bone yet. So the silverware helped a great deal.E2 - GRILLED PORK CHOPS, SHREDDED PORK: My bf is quite picky. Surprisingly, he enjoyed his pork chop dish and was satisfied. He said it tasted more like homecooking. The pork wasn't overly marinated like most restaurants which is a good thing. I hate being thirsty after eating out. He said it was perfectly seasoned. When we're in this area, we'll definitely pay another visit! Prices are reasonable for the amount of food given. For under $15 a plate, our tummies were happy and so were our wallets.

Came to Mama Tran's Kitchen twice now. Twice now the service was beyond exceptional. The lady working here was fast and friendly. You can tell she genuinely cares about the establishment. The ambiance of the restaurant is chic and cozy. The food is always on point and delicious. The food never disappoints!! I would say come and try anything and everything. Love this place I would 100% in a heartbeat recommend this restaurant to friends and family and even strangers. I can't wait to take my kids here. This is me and my husband's new date spot.

Stopped by for lunch for the first time today and loved it!! We got the Pho Ga and the vermicelli with pork and fried rolls - both were so good! The pho broth was super rich and stood out from other chicken broths I've tried. We had the pho with a side of rare steak and the chili oil - highly recommend both. The vermicelli was also amazing! Rolls were extra crispy and the sauce was unreal, super tangy and fresh. I also got a fresh limeade with soda, which was delish and a great pairing w the meal. They also have a coffee bar which I'd love to try out some other day, and it's also a great place to catch the niners game while you eat. Lovely service and will definitely be coming back!

Cute place. I've been looking for a go-to banh mi option near my office in Daly City. Mama Tran's caught my eye because the Banh Chuoi shows up on Yelp as the most mentioned dish. I love banana cake and this variant didn't disappoint. I was also struck by the branding - Mama Tran herself (I think?) is shown on a loop on the prominently hung tv. And they have Mama Tran merchandise in the front too. This is a restaurant that understands branding. They understand Banh mi too. Excellent sandwich (lemongrass tofu).

The food here is not bad. Staff need training. The service was very slow but some acknowledgement would be nice. I saw a family walk away @ the door because they were not being greeted. The staff should at least say "hi i'll be right with you", customers can see when it is slammed but ignoring them will not help. Might come back, might not. Drinks did not come out until 15-20 mins. Waited quite a while for the food.

I ordered a rare beef and beef ball pho but there is no rare beef inside. I m very disappointed and never gonna come back again.
