It just about the trend on this fluffy cake. Not worth the shot but I am thankful for getting the taste of their cakes.

Uncle Tetsu at Serramonte in Daly City exceeded my dessert expectations with their phenomenal burnt Basque cheesecake. The first bite was a burst of indulgence, combining the creamy goodness of traditional cheesecake with the unique caramelized top layer that added a delightful depth of flavor. The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, enhancing the overall dining experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste showcased the commitment to quality at Uncle Tetsu. The burnt Basque cheesecake was undoubtedly the star of the show, but the attention to customer satisfaction made the entire visit memorable. Whether you're a cheesecake enthusiast or just looking for a delightful dessert experience, Uncle Tetsu in Serramonte is a must-try. I'm already planning my next visit to explore more of their tempting offerings!

Danny provided stellar service and recommended the strawberry cheesecake which was so decadent and fluffy! A new take on cheesecake and might be my new favorite! Thank you Danny at Stonestown!!

I ordered 7 cheesecakes and wanted them to be individually bagged as they are gifts for family. I asked the lady TWICE clearly to put the cheesecakes in a separate bag and she still proceeded to add 4 cheesecakes to a single bag with no explanation. I simultaneously take them out as she is added another 3 to a bag and I say a 3RD time individually bagged as she just ignored my request. Then I realized she did because she gave me the other bags to do it myself!! I was like you are so rude. So there I was ok their small counter having to individually bag $90 worth of cheesecake when her male coworker had some sense to ask If I needed help bagging when that's all I wanted in the first place. She is going to ruin the image of this company if just doesn't understand good customer service or how to explain why she would think it was okay to ignore my request.

Hey, this was a while ago. But nobody makes cheesecakes like Uncle Tetsu. Maybe Auntie Tetsu. Sorry. So my *first* time was in a train station in Taipei. We came back with the kids from some science museum or something in another county. And the bus drops us off in the Downtown train station to catch another bus to Grandad - Agong's - condo south of Taipei. (Across the bridge.) Amanda spots an Uncle Tetsu Bakery. Oh!! gotta get one. Ok, honey whatever. We get behind 60 other people. They run out before we get to the counter. But that's not the end of it. Oh, no. The sign goes up. Next batch available in 1 hr 15 mins. Nobody leaves the line. We wait. And sure enough 75 minutes later, the cashiers return and the line is moving again. You get something still warm out of the oven. So, come on. They don't play it like that here in the States. I mean MAYBE.... You know, like if you're Krispy Kreme. But otherwise, NO. Nobody's waiting an hour plus for your product. Or 1/2 an hour. Or likely 10-15 minutes. That's not how we do things. There's plenty of product. More than 1 flavor. Good stuff. Just not , " right out of the oven" kind of a deal. Hey, this is the U.S.

We have been here a few times, but we finally wanted to leave a review! It's definitely cake skewed towards the Asian palette, but it's still good. Their usual cheesecake is very light and spongy. Better to not think of it like cheesecake. If anything, I'm reminded of my Mom's angel food cake when I was little. We recently got their Basque cheesecake to try something new. It tasted like I expected, but it's still lighter and less sweet than what I'm used to. I went home and still looked for a chocolate or caramel sauce to top it off. I'll try a tart the next time I'm in the area maybe. Keep up the good work!

I'm between 4 and 5 stars on this one - buuuut I decided to lean towards the 5 star because of the experience. I'm actually not super into cheesecake, but Japanese-style cheesecake suits my fancy more as it's not as "cheesey" and more like spongecake (so it's personal preference).I really like ube too - and they do a good job getting enough ube flavor in there (I like my flavors strong.) The value is really good too - so it's something you can grab everytime you're in the mall :)Sometimes, the cheesecakes are still warm when you're there (at least when I'm in the San Mateo location) and the texture is suppppper goood (after you refrigerate them, it changes it permanently.) When I was here, the cheesecake was already fridged - but it's still really good.Again, the cheesecake isn't that cheesey or dense like traditional cheesecake - so if you like that, you may not like this as much. But it is lighter and honestly probably easier on the calories at least a little bit. I only get the ube flavor because I remember not liking the other stuff I tried many many years ago - but I forgot that maybe it's possible to sample so that's definitely the way to go. (I'd be interested in the matcha and yuzu... and I guess the original because that sounds classic).Service-wise, the lady was super nice and helpful. No worries there :)Hope Uncle Tetsu continues to do what they do for a long time! Mom is always excited for the cheesecake that we bring back to her in Chicago :)

Love these Japanese Cheesecakes! I have tried both the Ube and Pandan Coconut and both were delicious. They are very light and squishy. I liked the pandan coconut the best! Also tried the small tart cheesecakes and they were really good as well. This location was also very kind. The woman gave me samples to try other flavors and recommendations. I would return!

(Hiroyuki Sanada voiceover)No this is not a Mazda commercial nor am I co-starring with Brad Pitt or Ryan Reynolds on a Bullet Train which was sugoi by the way.I am here to talk about a fab place to get Japanese cheesecake!Honto desu!Hannah warmly greeted me. Of course, she did. I'm a handsome famous actor.Someone whom I will call Jane Bond said the flavor to get was the Pandan Coconut. I was thinking she was speaking Chinese and calling me Bèndàn which she said means Beloved. But you know as the apex actor that I am, I just could not stay on mission. Hannah obliged and provided a sample of every flavor. And I wondered how she knew the technique to win my undying favor was with a cornucopia sampling of culinary delights. My gosh! I just had to get the Pandan Coconut, the Ube, and of course the Strawberry...because I love Harry Styles.Tastes like StrawberriesOn a Summer evenin'And it sounds like a song...Not only am I a wonderful actor and martial artist; I can sing. So janaidesu ka, watashino utsukushi garufurendo-tachi!And yes, Jane was right. Pandan Coconut is the best flavor yet! Sumimasen, Harry Styro. (And may I add that the Pandan pairs well with Coconut Berry Red Bull.) Hannah threw in some samples and a slice of the basque. The ladies loved it!Would order everything again, especially the Pandan!Arrigato gazaimasu, Hannah!Honto desu yo!Woohoo!

This was my first time trying Japanese Cheesecake. I tried the Ube flavor. Japanese Cheesecake is drier than a traditional cheesecake with barely any hints of cheese. More like a Pound Cake. Being a New York Cheesecake lover, I was expecting something similar that would have a denser cheese consistency and tartness. I suppose Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake is appealing if you're into that style. It wasn't bad, but it's not for my tastebuds. I'll stick to traditional cheesecake.

Tried all the different flavors with the biscotti free sample. Tried a tart for the first time - those seem to be the first to sell out at other locations. Also got a discount on future purchase. Fast and friendly service. This location is right by the foodcourt - its strange how mall foodcourts have all the good stuff these days... The cheesecakes are very light and the tarts are heavy with a tasty crispy crust that compliments the cheesecake part well. Biscotti seems to be made with the usual cheesecake but then baked twice. I think its a good idea - you could probably do this at home too with extra cheesecake that is no longer fresh. There are so many different flavors - you could try them all and never get bored. In general this mall is alive and well. Many good, relevant stores that attract people in a time where shopping online is the thing to do.

Loved the cheese cakes! They are doing a special of 3 for $39 so we got 3 different flavors (only took photo of two...) Will come by next time we are in Daly City

Very consistent with the quality of their cheesecakes. Every single one I've had is very soft and fluffy! Service here is pretty efficient; every cheesecake is made-ready so you'd be in and out under 3 mins. The only complaint I have is all their flavored cheesecakes taste almost just like plain ones... you can taste a bittttt of the flavor like Oreo and Ube but barely.

Delicious and fresh cheese cake, my grandma love it so much. Clean environment and alright customer service. They have sample for you to try it if you are not sure which favor you would like to get. Chocolate cheesecake was actually really good but ube was delicious as well. Will definitely come back again for the cheesecake and hopefully have better experience with customer service.
