“Roy’s is one of the premier food destinations in Pebble Beach. The chef has put his own twist on Hawaiian cuisine and the result is amazing. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of the Monterey bay.The sushi is a must try, as is the fried calamari. The cocktails do full justice to the menu as well. And, as expected, the decor just exudes beauty and elegance.Dietary restrictions: Not easy to work aroundKid-friendliness: Kids will love itWheelchair accessibility: Yes”
“Stillwater at the Pebble beach Lodge is an icon. Overlooking the 18 hole of the world famous golf course, the scenery cannot be beat.Offering both indoor and patio dining, it’s the perfect place to soak up the ambiance. The food is well portioned and typically good quality. They have great cocktails too.But honestly, the food here takes second seat to the viewsKid-friendliness: They’ll love itWheelchair accessibility: Yes it’s accessible”
“After having lunch at Roy's on a Saturday and hung out at the lounge outside of Roy's, we were ready to head home. Then, we saw Stave's sign and they were open! I sounded surprised because we never had a chance seeing them open. They open at 2p and we usually leave before that time. My husband loves wine so he had to go in and check it out. Most of the time, wine cellar stores like this don't carry decent selections. But Stave's selections blew my husband's mind. He said majority of their selections are decent and priced reasonably, which it's rare to see nowadays. So we decided to stay and open a bottle of wine that interested him. We also ordered their cheeseboard, which they said we can get more breads if we want. My toddler was a fan of their cheese and bread, she finished most of them. Steven was the gentleman who served us. He was friendly, attentive and patient. After I checked in on Yelp, there was this 10% promotion popped up. I showed it to one of the staffs, and she said they have new promotion of 15% off now - even better! Of course my husband had to get some. We ended up getting additional 6 bottles with the 15% off promotion. Loved our experience there. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, the selections. Nothing we can complain. Amazing experience and highly recommended for all wine lovers.”
“My husband and I stopped in here after a hike around Point Lobos on our wedding anniversary which also happened to fall this year on Easter and spring break, so things were busy at The Tap Room. We were seated right away, and the room was beautiful. I got a Reuben sandwich (I always like to order this if it's on the menu) and it was so delicious with the corned beef sliced thin as it out to be, and my perfect ratio of sauce and sauerkraut to Corned beef on beautiful swirled rye/pumpernickel bread. What I'm really here to tell you about though is my server, Nick. He was so friendly - but not intrusive, conversational - but not too chatty. Just a top notch server. I've had lots of good service before at restaurants, but Nick will be remembered by me even after I've forgotten about the food. I also got the impression from the other staff that checked on us during the meal, that the level of care was shared by the whole staff. World class service!”
“Store looks nice, but one gentleman behind the counter was rude to my wife. She was going to ask for three coffees and as she was placing the order he would interrupt her after every item to tell her the total price, as if to say he wanted her to finish. She wasn't done, and he wasn't apologetic. Took away from the overall pleasantness of the market.Parking: There is no parking associated with the market. Park in other available areas and must walk here.”
“The menu items look fantastic, though I am concerned it there are non-options for dessert. I applaud them for saying they cannot accommodate vegans right away. I look forward to an enjoyable time. However, the fixed menu: $150.00 per person with tax and gratis brings it shy of $200.00 a person and all the comments stated $100. I prefer ala carte when dining, sometimes the bill can even exceed the above prices. Hope to see you soon.”
“Fantastic French cafe eats and coffee drinks. The setting is so Van Gogh. Perhaps it has views of the water from the unaccessible upper floors but it’s a quaint little place and is part of Monterey’s eclectic make-up. If you have a B’day coming up their French cakes are divine too.”
“The coastal kitchen was a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. At each course they explained in great detail what the particular flavor characteristics were of the outstanding prepared food that we enjoyed We did the wine pairing, which was also quite a lot of fun. I admit, I enjoy a certain style of wine. But with an open mind was able to understand a nuances of different variables, as it was paired with food. The Somalia had a great deal of knowledge, and was very skilled at explaining a nuances of the wines we enjoyed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, pretty pricey, but well worth it if you can afford that type of thing”
“The sort of place you stumble upon, then wonder why everyone isn’t talking about it.The food was divine. A perfect mix of flavours and delicately executed. I especially recommend the Yellowtail Crudo to start, and the lemon olive oil cake to finish. You might struggle to park but there aren’t many better places to eat in Monterey than this!Parking: On site, around the back”
“What a wonderful place! The staff is incredibly friendly and happy to recommend something delicious to a new customer. I will definitely return.I tried the egg lover crepe and had a matcha latte. Both were exceptionally good.Wonderful atmosphere! Thank you.”
“This is the best place to take kids for dinner without ruining other people's Carmel getaway ?. The ambiance and service is still impeccable, but it's relatively easy to get a reservation and the food comes out quickly so you could be done with dinner in 1-1.5hrs (for better or worse, depending on what you're looking for).”
“Aubergine is the best fine dining experience in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The food, presentation, ambience, and service are all of the highest caliber and well-deserving of the recognition earned by this restaurant. Aubergine was more than accommodating of my personal request for plant-based options in lieu of their traditional prix fixe menu, and they exceeded my expectations. I would have to travel to New York to another world-renowned restaurant to receive the same level of consideration and experience a similar level of culinary excellence. My wife was able to enjoy the traditional prix fixe menu options while I was thrilled by the creativity of the kitchen. She informed me later that this was the first time Aubergine had catered to a complete plant-based course for dinner. Absolutely magnifique. We were also introduced to a terrific Sauternes by the sommelier, a novelty we hadn't explored before, but now embrace. Thank you to Chef Cogley and the entire staff for making our visit so memorable. We will return. John and Rhona”
“What a gluten free find!!! Not only was this bakery 100% dedicated gluten free they had dairy free and vegan options. Every employee we encountered was helpful and kind. They were able to make us a dairy free breakfast sandwiches which were heavenly. The muffins were large and so moist and delicious. Cupcakes were so good it was hard to believe they were gluten free. But can I tell you about their vegan scones?! I have NEVER had a scone that wasn’t dry until I tried them here at Neces. How do they do it? When I could eat gluten I remember scones being dry lol. You will NOT be disappointed! Cannot wait to take a trip back.”
“a great neighborhood restaurant. service is impeccable, food delicious, owners, Paula and Paul, are wonderful. Try the Lobster Ravioli. there is a surprise in the sauce.”
“This place is amazing. Hands down one of the best restaurants in the area if not the best.I have come here several times and I always leave happy.Fresh ingredients and care and attention to detail.Staff is always great. It is always hard for me to decide what I want when I come here because everything is so delicious!Come here you won’t regret it.”
“A wonderful breakfast spot! Although this place is small, they can handle the constant flow of customers. The location itself feels very comforting and welcoming. They offer traditional breakfast along with some Mexican inspired dishes. My family enjoyed our meals, coffee and chia lattes. The service was excellent. For only two people working the tables, they are quick and accurate. Definitely come here when you’re in the area and wanting a nice hot breakfast.Parking: Free street parking with 90 minute limit”
“The food was wonderful, as always. My husband and I grew up eating here with our families on vacations, however, this was our best experience yet! Our server, shout out to Tara, was prompt with bringing our food and was extremely personable with all of her table including us. She absolutely made our evening with her joyful personality. The support staff was also pleasant; they kept drinks fill and table clean. Great experience overall!Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions friendly! Vegan and gluten free option available.”
“We discovered this place by accident after it first opened. Whoever we are in town, we will eat at this once hidden gem. The clam chowder, crab ravs, and the specials are always on point.”
“The most amazing restaurant in Carmel! My husband and I were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and he made reservations at Le Soufflé. I had no idea where we were going. I loved the pre-set menu. You get to pick a starter, a main course and a dessert! Everything was amazing! Taste wise and ambiance wise! Our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and gave us great recommendations. I had the salad with pears and hazelnuts, the mushroom soufflé and the passion fruit and mango dessert! Everything was excellent!”
“Absolutely LOVE this place. I had the crab and shrimp omelette with a Lou Mosa. I would recommend you come early so you can enjoy your breakfast with a beautiful view. Best Breakfast in Monterey!!!! The atmosphere is fun and warm and exciting every time I come.”
“Wild mushroom Pizza was delicious, oysters fresh, wine list was good. Service was good but we expected more of a Michelin star restaurant. Recommended when in Carmel. Busy, a reservation is highly recommended.”
“My family and I, although we have lived in the Monterey area for quite a few years, had our first dinner experience at Sardine Factory. My mother chose this restaurant, because she remembered seeing a beautiful photo of the place in a travel brochure. My brother and I were determined to "do whatever mom wants", so we agreed to her suggestion immediately.Upon arrival, we were seated in one of the extraordinary dining rooms. Mom asked about the "sunroom in the brochure", and... Since we were determined to do anything that Mom wants, I worked up the courage to ask Rachel and Natalie to figure out what room my mother was talking about and seat us there.Typically, I am quite shy about inconveniening people, but... Today was different. I just found out that my elderly mother had a doctor's visit that was life-changing.So... I found a moment to tell Rachel and Natalie that I was deaing with a "life moment regarding mom's health". Rachel and Natalie immediately found a table for us in the glass atrium that my mother had seen in a brochure. I was very, very touched by how quickly these two lovely staff members worked to make my mom's wish come true. Their kindness and sincerity were just so apparent and obvious. We took dozens of photographs of ourselves, my laughing mom, and the beautiful glass atrium. The food was delicious. I drank too much. There were some tears and laughter. The beautiful setting. The delicious food. The wine. The happy memories, while my family shared a rare moment to get together despite our busy, busy lives....Rachel and Natalie and the rest of the wonderful staff at Sardine Factory, thank you so much for sharing your love, sincerity, your gorgeous restaurant and lovingly prepared food with us.My entire family will remember this evening forever. Thank you.~Austin”
“This is a place I always recommend to my vegan and vegetarian friends. One of my favorite things to do is order food to go and take it just down the way to Asilomar Beach! I only have great memories of Julias. I miss how it used to look inside under previous ownership, but still a great atmosphere! I'm not sure if they still have outside seating but I loved that feature as well. It's not easy to find a great vegan/vegetarian restaurant.Thank you so much for the wonderful food and service!”
“I’m vegan and visiting Monterey when I saw vegan baklava! I stopped and the sweetest man was incredibly kind and helpful when assuring me that ALL baklava were vegan! It’s a small, locally owned family business and he was so sweet at my excitement that he even offered my family a sample of his favorite- the coffee walnut! We ordered every flavor, and I can confirm that they were all DELICIOUS!!!!!! I would absolutely recommend you stop for sweet treats!I’ll be back to try the food next!Vegetarian options: Vegan baklava!”
“place with traditional flavors mole tacos special tortillas in corn different flavored sauces it really seemed like a super restaurant. I would definitely eat here again on my next trip. I recommend it. They also have excellent customer service.”
“Always delicious, always fresh. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and explained things in beautiful word pictures that truly helped guide our ordering choices. PLEASE - Do yourself a favor...get a $3 biscuit for yourself. You could share it, but you will be a little sad you did afterward. Life changing.”
“Everything was incredible! Service was excellent, food was extremely delicious in my opinion ! I can tell chef was put all his heart in every single dish and created it incredible with the best ingredients! I definitely going back again when i visit Carmel . And sorry took me so long to review this and i think this restaurant deserves my 5 stars reviews.”
“Love this little place! Replaces all of our breakfast places for Monterey. Yummy breakfast for most palates, AND I added a roasted jalapeño. The coffee was good. The chef was amazing both times that we went there. But the restaurant is small and thrown together. I only care about the yummy food.Parking: There were a few street spots. Too many other customers, and I would be searching for a spot.”
“One of my local friends recommended Taste Cafe & Bistro as their personal favourite. I can understand why: Great food and friendly service. We had a great evening! Will definitely come back!”
“The food was fantastic. The service was great, and the view is breathtaking. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Monterey.Parking: I did find it interesting that we had to park a little ways out and two different Pebble Beach golf carts that are used for transporting people passed us without offering a ride. One of them even passed me up after I waved to him trying to get him to stop.Kid-friendliness: The staff welcomed my children and even provided some highlighters for my daughter to color during lunch. However, the other patrons did not seem to appreciate having children nearby during lunch despite my children being well mannered, polite and quiet.”
