Absoulty awful! This ice cream shop quality has fallen off a cliff! Used to be the best in town, bought a tub of black raspberry marble to go with my pizza. Ice cream was icy and crunchy, not smooth and creamy. Either freezer burnt and like 2 years old, or... half melted and was refroze. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the best description I can give of Loard's Ice Cream is that it's edible. Given the prices, you probably have better options, depending on where you live. I prefer Coldstone Creamery by far. Fenton's in Oakland is also excellent. I had Loard's once in 2008 and I guess my memory was inaccurate, or the quality has gone downhill since then. I think it's perfect that they have a location shared with a pizza joint. How convenient. However, I know they try to run lean and they have the servers for the pizza working the ice cream too.... But the guy was nice enough. We just ordered a scoop in a waffle cone and it was pretty basic. The ambiance isn't much and there wasn't a place to sit and eat in the ice cream area (not that we wanted to).
