I think it's perfect that they have a location shared with a pizza joint. How convenient. However, I know they try to run lean and they have the servers for the pizza working the ice cream too.... But the guy was nice enough. We just ordered a scoop in a waffle cone and it was pretty basic. The ambiance isn't much and there wasn't a place to sit and eat in the ice cream area (not that we wanted to).

Absoulty awful! This ice cream shop quality has fallen off a cliff! Used to be the best in town, bought a tub of black raspberry marble to go with my pizza. Ice cream was icy and crunchy, not smooth and creamy. Either freezer burnt and like 2 years old, or... half melted and was refroze. Both are awful business practices in high end San Ramon, corporate needs to get involved and make some management changes. Pretty sure same folks own the mountain Mike's attached and that was also the worst pizza experience of my life. Used to be the best, now its trash. Just like this ice cream.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the best description I can give of Loard's Ice Cream is that it's edible. Given the prices, you probably have better options, depending on where you live. I prefer Coldstone Creamery by far. Fenton's in Oakland is also excellent. I had Loard's once in 2008 and I guess my memory was inaccurate, or the quality has gone downhill since then. Very disappointing. I tried a sample of Peanut Butter Fudge and I bought a pre-pack of Mocha Fudge. Very little fudge in it, and the quality of the ice cream reminds me of the stuff you find in the supermarket, and I'm not talking about Hagen Daz or Ben & Jerry's. Nothing wrong with the service, I just don't like the ice cream, so why bother? Also, the guy didn't give me a receipt and I payed by credit card.

The ice cream was a weird texture and didn't taste right. After getting our ice cream and paying, I noticed all the mold inside the ice cream case. This is a public health risk and absolutely disgusting. Needless to say we threw our ice cream away after walking out and will never go back.

The reviews on yelp speak for themselves as well. They’ve been scamming and delivering bad customer service for years. I wish Loard’s corporate would put a stop to them because they are ruining the brand.

No bananas for a banana special. Only can have chocolate ice cream in milkshakes. Workers didn’t speak English.
This place seems intent on ruining ice cream. My sundae had after dinner mints added to the toppings, no cherry on top. I could not figure out why my chocolate ice cream had a minty flavor until I spit up a few of those Andes Candies and some odd white item (I initially thought it was a super stale marshmallow or an after dinner mint - I'm sill not sure) My ice cream was soupy; they obviously are not keeping their products stored at the right temperature. The hot fudge was gritty. No prices on the menu. It was a significant rip off.

I should have listened to the bad reviews. I had to ask for four flavors before they finally even had it--they were out of so many flavors. Their price point and what they give are very very different. I ate maybe a quarter of my sundae and didn't really feel like eating the rest. Taste was not there. I wouldn't return

According to Google they carry Passion fruit ice cream. But when I got there, they don't carry that flavor.

I love Loards ice cream, but I've been to better Loards!This business is located within mountain mikes pizza.From 1-10 cleanness is about a 7.5.Ice cream tasted old and with different texture.Some items on menu weren't available.Cashier/attendant was very nice and polite.I have also had better mountain Mike's pizza....

I should have read these reviews before going. I should have walked out after going in and seeing all the ice cream very low and not being refilled. Both flavors i got were old and freezer burned. Plus I paid for 2 scoops but they were the smallest scoops I've ever had. Cheap and stingy owners. I would never go back and recommend you don't go either.
