“A lovely meal. The chef is super creative in the use of vegetables and original sauces. Nice selection of wines by the glass, which our server was happy to let me taste before ordering. Highly recommend the cauliflower starter and the chickpea risotto, which were quite exceptional. The baked cod however was a bit too salty. And we needed to order some bread to cleanse our palate afterwards. They did offer to remake the fish which was thoughtful, but it would have interrupted the flow of our dinner at that stage. That said, it was a great experience overall. And don't skip the s'mores desert!“

“We had the most delicious meal last night at Protégé. Each course of the tasting menu was perfection. At the end we couldn't choose a favorite because they were all equally incredible. Our server, Fleur, was so knowledgeable about the food and the wine and gave us wonderful recommendations for the perfect wines to compliment the various courses. “We found this place roughly a month ago, and the owner and head chef named Josh is arguably one of the best steps I've ever met, I come from chefs background used to be a corporate chef years ago, and the food and quality of service at this location is arguably the best I've ever dealt with, including French laundry. “We ate at La Viga Seafood & Cocina Mexicana. It was nice. I thought it would be a bit fancier because I saw it recommended somewhere. The seafood dish with different kinds was really good, especially the shrimp. The tacos cost $6 each, which seemed a lot, but they tasted great. The chips were the best part—they were not greasy and very crunchy. They gave us two kinds of sauce; the green one was the best. The cold beer was also really good with the food. Even though I expected something a bit different, we liked it a lot and want to go back to try more dishes.“

When we arrived on a busy Saturday night, we were whisked back immediately to our desired corner window table.We knew what we wanted beforehand and was happy the items were not “sold out” (happened more times than you think it’s possible).For appetizer, we split the Black Truffle Soup in two, and it was a good thing we did it since the amount was just right, more so as we planned to have the Dry Aged Ribeye as the entree.The ribeye (we both had it medium rare) was one of the very best I’ve had in recent times (and I’ve been to quite a few expensive restaurants in SF over the last 6 months) - it was flavorful, juicy and well marbled, perfectly complemented by the Bordelaise sauce.I will definitely come back here again, just for the Ribeye!“
“Ambiance is arty, comfortable and lovely. Menu had great choices and the 3 of us were so pleased with our choices. I brought home the leftovers and they were just as delicious the next day. “Enjoyed a nice brunch on Sat morning around 11 am, was not too crowded and got seated right away without reservations. We had 2 dogs with us and their outdoor seating was pretty nice. “Near a curve on a four line road is an eclectic older Mexican restaurant with artistic merit, interesting landscaping outdoor dining and several different kinds of tables and chairs indoors, including a bar.The menu has several options many of which I had not seen in Mexican food places before. I have tried their tamales, chili relleno, black beans, pinto beans, rice, grilled chicken, quesadilla, pico, guacamole, and the provided chips and salsa. All of the flavors are excellent. The green sauce and masa of the tamale, and the firm aged relleno cheese filling were outstanding.Indoors is Mexican music, while outdoors there is traffic noise. The tortilla chips are the thin triangle bagged kind. The restroom has an old sink and fixtures. But the custom artwork, high ceilings with paper fiesta decor and painted furniture are classic south of the border. The seats are all flat wood, no cushions. No sauce bar or extra hot sauce present. Will need another visit to try the mole.Vegetarian options: Enchiladas are great.“

“All the food I tasted was deli and no, it's not all pictured here. FYI, this is not a "Mexican" restaurant, it's Peruvian. All delicious but don't expect Mexican staples. The service was friendly and quick. Only thing is, they didn't ask how we wanted our check and they brought it all together and it was as always, a pain in the ass to split. Ambiance is nice, private, quiet and comfortable. Not being from here, we are reeling from the costs and taxes but oh well.“

I asked about gluten free options since the menu was not marked, and he took me through the menu to explain what could and could not be safely prepared without cross contamination. Unfortunately, not many safe options! There are very few gluten-containing items, but they spoil most of the menu for me due to a shared fryer - so no homemade tortilla chips for me! The cocktails were great, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were friendly. “Supports local comedy. Karaoke. Pool table. Fun vibe. I have been to the Plaza so many times, and I would've never thought that I would find a bar like this in the middle of this Plaza. It's got a pool table in the back. There's a little stage for local talents. The owner is super cool. He completely supports local entertainment and arts. He's really easy to work with. The bar keeps are all chill and easy to get along with. Tiffani is so sweet and has such a good heart. Dan has been so helpful and has gone out of his way to make the experience here. “This was another adventure for dinner thanks to a Yelp search. I didn't realize the menu concept, or I missed it while checking out the menu online. But, I am glad that it all worked out.Visiting Belmont, we decided to choose this restaurant. I loved that they had hot dogs, sausages, and hamburgers. I am not vegetarian, but there were quite a few options for those who are not meat eaters.As we entered, I heard talking, laughter and the football game. The person who took our order shared with me his suggestions and I went for them. I had the chili cheese tots and the Holy Aoli burger. Didn't realize that all burgers are sliders. My burger was actually 4 sliders! One patty with 4 Hawaiian rolls as buns...yum. I asked for extra green onions on my chili tots, which were plentiful. My mother in love ordered their special Thanksgiving sausage, and my husband had the Reservoir Hog. I yell you, the menu is unique as it is good. Who would have thought that no hormone or antibiotic added meats could be reasonable priced and tasty. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and our ability to grab our own condiments, too.“

“Redwood Grill is my favorite place to go. The staff there makes me feel so welcomed, they already know how we like our food and our favorite drinks. I like to escape with my husband and have our time together. Sometimes to watch a sports game, sometimes to talk about business, or to have a date night. Other times I bring the whole family and even my friends after a PTO meeting. I have celebrated several family events at both locations. This restaurant has become a tradition to me. My favorite dish is the beet salad with a nice grilled salmon on top. My kids love the wings and bacon burger. My favorite drink is called “By the fire” this isn’t on the menu but sometimes I get spoiled and they prepare for me. I hope you can enjoy this restaurant as much as we do.“
“Lovely experience with the Alice in Wonderland Tea! We had the Earl Grey Oolong tea, which was mildly disappointing (very little flavor), but the pastries more than made up for it! Three tea sandwiches, a perfectly baked blueberry scone, and three tiers of cakes and sweets. The best part was the setting, though. The place is covered flowers and beautifully decorated.“

“Went for Valentine's Day lunch with my husband. It felt festive with all the heart decorations. Food was excellent and as expected, pricey. Husband had the Quattro burger which was juicy and delicious. I had the salmon dish which was really good. The salmon was cooked just perfect, crispy skin and tender and moist. We shared a side of onion rings which were so good, We had the panna cotta and the apple cake for dessert. Both were yummy! The service was also wonderful. It was attentive, but not overly so and everyone was friendly and nice. This place is definitely fun to go to for a special occasion.“
