“Cute little Japanese restaurant in the quiet corner of the shopping center. Nice relaxing and quiet environment. Our server was so polite and attentive. She took our orders quickly and our food came out just as quick. We ordered the gochujang bao, spicy tuna crispy rice, california roll, chicken katsu curry and tantan curry. We loved the spicy tuna crispy rice! It was my favorite. The curry was so hot and comforting! We will definitely return to try more of the menu.We spent ~$40 per person because we each got an appetizer plus a California roll.“
“This was my first time coming here and it was surprisingly pretty good. The inside has a nice modern decoration although I would say their seating is weird. If I were them I would get rid of the long high seating table. The waiters/waitresses were friendly and attentive. It's a little pricier than some of the other local spots but not bad. I got the Tan Tan Ramen which was really good. How their bowls look, it looks like there's not much food, but I was more than full. There was a lot of meat and it's nice that they give you a whole egg. The broth was rich and creamy, slightly spicy. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to other people.“
“My husband and I love this place. You can sense the family owned business atmosphere. Everyone is always so nice and the service is super efficient even if they're always busy.We both always order the Red Tonkotsu and spicy Gyuniku Ramen. So yummy!“
“The ramen here was amazing, the vibe is young and ready to eat some spicy ramen. I loved the egg as it was just superb and added so much richness to the broth. The takoyaki was hot and fresh but the squid didnt come through the batter still a great flavor tho. Ramen bowl was big and plentiful and the pork was just amazing in every bite.“
“Ramen comes to mind when the weather is cool and raining! Ever since I heard Pipo Ramen & Rice is on the Top 100 Places to Eat in Sacramento, I have been wanting to try this place. It's located in South Sacramento, off 65th Street, in this quiet plaza with plenty of parking. We came here for dinner a little before 6:00 pm on weekdays, and we were the only customers. The place is clean, tidy, and spacious with a high ceiling. We sat down and were given the menu and water right away. At first, I thought this was a Japanese/Ramen restaurant because of the name. After looking at the menu, it turns out it's a Thai restaurant. Either way, I enjoy both Japanese and Thai food.I love duck, so I immediately knew I wanted the Crispy Duck Fried Rice. I was surprised that the duck breast was served on top of the basil fried rice, instead of diced and cooked together with the fried rice. I really like that because I can see what part of the duck I'm eating. It's also delicious! The duck was crispy and savory. The basil and Thai seasoning add unique flavors to the fried rice. Generous portion. I would definitely get this again. 5/5We also got the Tonkotsu Ramen. It's your typical ramen with the standard toppings and ramen egg (ajituske tamago). The broth is creamy and not too salty. It really is perfect for the rainy weather. 4/5The service was great. The server was friendly and checked on us a couple of times. We can't wait to come back and taste other dishes.“
“Small, cozy spot with bar seating for some good Ramen Soup- broth was rich and flavorful so much so the noodles were flavorful. Delicious. I'll definitely be back for the Ramen Soup. Gyoza and Sushi was decent. We got there just in time before it got super busy with a small wait time.Downer: Parking - is difficult and tight.“
“DELICIOUS! I had the 2 item Bento Box: spicy chicken Teriyaki and mixed Tempura. The box include two piece CA roll, steamed rice and salad. Also included cucumber in rice wine vinegar w/ a sprinkle of sesame seeds and miso soup. And their food is not overpriced. And you get generous portions.“
“Went for lunch and staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We ordered the beef spare rib rice bowl and teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Both were great and huge servings, the pickled ginger and cucumber was a great compliment to the sauces on the meat and rice. The chili oil was the added heat I love and went well with the beef. 10/10 will come back again when I'm in the area.“
“Popcorn chicken is a really good bite size. The Tea is good but would have been better with the mango fruits but it is not in season so no mango fruit. Place is pretty big but it was a couple people inside. Good service because she took her time with us. Couldn't make up our mind.“
“I had the Niku udon and gyoza during my last visit. Udon serving size was appropriate but the taste was a bit too sweet for me. I didn’t have to wait long for my orders.I’ll stick with their ramen dishes next time. Come early in the evening as they could get crowded. Staff were friendly and quick.Parking: There are EV chargers.“
