The pandemic has not been kind to many establishments but when they reopen for sit down the minimum expectations are still there. I should have known from when I ordered tea, they provided Lipton and cold canned tea drinks.... Itoen's unsweetened green tea, and Pokka oolong tea. They also did not greet me or say goodbye on my way out. I don't think I've ever experienced both of those negligence from a Japanese restaurant. My party ordered several rolls and noticed a significant decrease in taste and freshness. The tempura was cold and not crunchy (like I was eating grocery bought frozen tempura), the rice tasted like it was cooked this morning vs. at dinner (eating rice since I was born, I consider myself an expert), and the vegetables were not fresh or crunchy. The provided ginger was barely enough for a couple of sliced rolls. The sushi slices was not as cold as I'm used to nor full of flavor. We didn't finish our dishes. The whole experience was just bland and questioned if I was eating at the same restaurant. For being near one of the best sushi chains in Sacramento area, Wa really needs to up their game similar to when they opened. Just because they have customers now does not mean they should skip out on excellence, freshness, and care of preparing the food for the expensive price of eating sushi! I'm saddened that Wa will not longer be an alternate sushi restaurant. I did ask if there was a change of ownership or sushi chef and the waitress said no, it's the same. We had to eat at another restaurant afterwards to satisfy our hunger.

The food was delicious and the customer service was fabulous! We ordered the red tonkotsu ramen and several sushi rolls. All tasted really good! The broth for the ramen was perfect. I wished I knew about this place sooner but will definitely be coming back!

do not recommend this place AT ALL... Came in a party of 12, no good customer service, uncooked udon and ramen noodles. Did not let us pay on seperate tabs.. chose a group tip without letting us know what do ever. Servers would say move in a rude way. never coming back.

First time ordering from this place. We decided to order takeout. And I'm sure the food was as good as when you actually dine in. And although a little expensive, the quality of food was excellent! In my opinion, this place is probably our new go-to from here on out. We have other favorite spots. But this one is number one! Glad we found this small gem of a place!

This place was indoor dining which was a big perk due to the heat. We got the pork buns as well (not pictured) but they did not look good. The buns looked very dark, almost as if they were fried. They weren't soft and were rock hard. The pork was very thin too. The rolls were quite small for the price, and nothing remarkable. Total was about $35 for the two rolls, the pork bun appetizer, and one edamame appetizer. Wouldn't come again.

We dined in tonight. My cousin had the pork bun and didn't like the bun part. She said it was very hard when we were expecting it to be soft like how pork buns are normally done. Also got the spider and tempura roll. Really small and you would definitely need to eat a couple rolls to be full. Probably won't return. Service was good and quick.

Nice surprise. We were looking for an alternative to our normal spots for Sushi....and we found it. Little place with a great staff. The food was very good. We had the signature Ramen and the signature roll and a "lemon drop" roll. Lots of flavor, great presentation. It's a nice cozy date spot.

Always good food when we come . We get the lion king roll, shy shy roll, and lemon drop roll. The calamari is good as well.

Disappointed!! Was near by and stopped by ordered 3 rolls and grill squid- around $60. Got to my sisters and opened it. I have never ate at any sushi place that serves tiny small sushi rolls. Very small!! Not worth it at all- will definitely not go there again!!

It had a nice environment and the food tasted good, it was just a little pricey. I spent $15 for ramen and it tastes good but the price was just higher than other places. Portion size was great, it didn't fill me up but it didn't starve me.

For one, it was open. Secondly, they did their best to seat us since it was late. Though the best part was that the food was good.

I cannot believe, grilled squid is $12.95, but it is not the whole squid, only part of the squid. Even in the South Bay of San Francisco, I never had the grilled squid with this price and this portion of the squid. And grilled chicken is not fresh, it is smelly.

They are now offering dine in! We have missed eating here. We ordered three delicious rolls (Shyshy, Firebomb, and Sunshine) and the chicken garage. The food is even more delicious than I remembered it. Chef takes great care in his hospitality, presentation, and flavors. Thank you for a 10/10 dinner.

Went here tonight, by far the worst service. I ordered the spicy garlic edamame.. tasted nothing like garlic and had no seasoning at all. It was very bland, all you could taste was spice.. Then I order two different types of ramen that were flavored good but were so spicy it was inedible! My server went to pack up my ramen, spilt it all over the table and left it there while we sat there another 15 minutes waiting for the tip. No apology for spilling a generous portion of my food and no apology for leaving a mess while customers sat there.will NEVER eat here again
