I love a delicious seeded baguette! As I write this I am eating the last of my bread from 2 days ago, lightly toasted and it holds up. The whole wheat flatbread is surprisingly light, I imagined all of these dips and toppings and somehow wound up eating it plain. Right? Some pictures of the insides are included, beautiful bread!

$9 for average tasting half-sized sandwich.

We are BIG fans and regular patrons of Prager Bros Encinitas. Love their croissants, pumpkin seed bread, and loaves of bread. It's some of the best sourdough around! The shortbread cookies are nothing short of awesome either. I'm ashamed to say how often we grab one of their ready made sandwiches for lunch, but oh whale...

Pretty much the best almond croissant I’ve ever had in my life…. At first bite all the little flakes explode into millions of pieces that is then followed up by a sweet vanilla almond sensation. That just makes your day. ??

Love their bread! My husband and I also love their premade sandwiches. Ham and cheese and turkey arugula are on our heavy rotation.

Okay, I wanted to love this. I really did. I've tried some breads and pastries from other Prager Brother locations before, but this was my first time at the Encinitas store. I have to say I was seriously underwhelmed and disappointed. I got a pretzel, which looked beautiful and shiny, but was stale and extremely hard. For the price, I have to say I was expecting more. I don't know if it was because it was an old batch or left out too long, but I couldn't even finish it. I know that PB can definitely make good pastries and breads, so I was really disappointed. The store itself is very small, so I think it's more of a grab-and-go kind of establishment. Although there is sometimes a line, the service is fairly quick because everything is already made. I think that, despite my experience, I might go back to give PB another chance. Maybe it was just an off day!

Simply the best bread in southern California. These folks take their bread seriously. I have never been disappointed with a purchase from Prager's, but I particularly like the Miche, a huge, crusty, whole grain offering, the Kalamata olive bread made on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the Walnut bread. For artisan loaves using natural, organic ingredients, give Pragers a try.

Top notch! I order the breakfast sandwich, pear danish, and almond croissant and they were absolutely delicious. Try for yourself!

This place is the real deal. Delicious homemade baked breads, croissants, a few ready made breakfast sandwiches , etc. Highly recommend the Almond pastry and chocolate croissant. We went multiple times while in the area and the breads we had were all great and of high quality. More of a "stop in and head out" spot but they do have a small area you could eat quickly. Like any good bakeries they sell out on many items so get there on earlier side even on weekdays.

Up until recently Prager Brothers was a favorite of mine, the breads, sandwiches, and pastries. The veggie sandwich was amazing and I would tell everyone about it, however they have changed the bread which made it go from absolutely delicious to not so good. Please Prager Brothers, don't mess with perfection!

DELICIOUS! We ate our croissants as we window shopped. They were so perfect, we turned around, walked back a couple blocks, to purchase more! We ordered their butter croissants (buttery and fresh...light and flaky on the outside, soft and velvety on the inside), blueberry scone (crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside... with bursts of fresh blueberries), and a French baguette (crusty and slightly charred outside, soft crumb insidel! As amazing as our favorite bakery in Italy! Stop what you are doing and run to this bakery! Highly recommend!
