The Jilbertos have been long time friends of the Hispanic community of Esco We all know the owners and their children who have taken on the torch and have spread to other counties in So Cal, to served their deliciously made foods. I leave this review after longing for their delicious tasty food after living in Texas for 3 years and eating TexMex ??, saddest years of my life. Now that I’m back Jilbertos is one of the places I had to try again, each bite I take is heaven!

They have the best burrito in central Escondido and probably all north county I don’t know I haven’t tried everywhere but I have had a lot of different burritos from different places and jilbertos w valley. Takes the cake . Very good as always I usually get the breakfast burrito with all the meats or the conga and the supreme rolled tacos are bomb and of course the California burrito ? thank you who ever owns this place and cooks the food you guys are awesome

I would recommend this place to others forSeveral reasons. It’s a casual setting, It gets busy at times but the food is good. They give you an ample ( a lot) amount of meat in your Taco. My order was wrong ( partly my fault) but Sarah ( special mention) was amazing. She corrected my order and gave me a new one the following day. I couldn’t go back as my order was the night before. Employees that honor their word and offer customer service to a satisfactory level need to be recognized. Next visit to San Diego I will be here.

Really like the veggie burrito and I’ve gotten a few times but tonight there was a rubber band in it that I had to pull out of my mouth :( just a reminder to be extra careful please!

This place is one of the better quick fast food Mexican spots in Escondido. Their carne asada fries are consistently good and you get a hearty serving. Everything else I've had has always been great.It's not open 24 hours but is the best of all the other "bertos" around.
