Nice service, good bar menu, live music, relaxed atmosphere. Wish they would open again soon.

The Course is looking great No thanks to the OWNER. The greens are coming back that's great news. If I had the money I would buy this place and make it the way it should be. The owner is a joke. Thought he would be a better landlord. Boy was I wrong.

Closed Closed ! ! ! Closed ! ! ! Closed ! ! ! Hasn't been open since Early 2020 when people started freaking out about Rona. Don't know and haven't heard any rumors about reopening. If you ask staff that works at the golf course, they will often tell you that it's opening soon. NOT! Dicks

It's been closed since March 2020. Please get busy and open again. You might make enough to water your fairways once in a while.

So, it says it's open online and we drove out to it "locked up". Nothing posted or anything. Not a fan

Paid $45 on a holiday and figured it that was pretty low for a holiday rate. I learned after the first hole it was at minimum $20 over priced. I should have got my first clue at check in. The guy behind the counter was sitting in the chair and asked me and my playing partner if he could help us without even budging from his seat...I thought to myself why else would two guys walking into a pro shop dressed like golfers want anything else but to check in. He actually seemed annoyed he had to get up and walk the 15 feet to take our money! Getting back to the course: the fairways, bunkers, and the putting greens on a scale from 1-10, I'd honestly give a solid 1....It's very clear that they have decided to forego any routine maintenance. The only positive experience was that it took us only three hours to play the round.... there was no on the course. Now we know why!!!!

This is clearly a tax-loss vehicle of some sort for the owner. There is no attention being paid to the golf experience. This is not a golf course...it's a piece of terrain on which golf balls might be safely hit. A tragedy.

Oh my God ! The worst coarse I ever played ! Fairways like patchy crab grass and dirt . Greens infestation of mold or disease.... just really disappointed. We came All the way from Santee to play there . Never will I go back !

This course should not even be open and they charge $55 to play. The greens are so diseased you will never have a putt without a divot or chunk in your way. There aren't fairways. It's all rough. They are taking advantage of people by charging them $55. I now know why they have tee times available. They should be shut down. If I could give zero stars I would. The picture attached is one of the better greens.

Back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, my grandfather used to play this course. Though at times it was dry it was in way better shape in those days. After playing this course today, I have to say it was the worst course I've EVER played in my life. The only evidence of water on the course is one of the lakes. The rest of the fairways are been (brown with very few patches of green.). The greens have huge spots of fungi in them and if I didn't know any better I would say that mini h bombs fell from the sky on each one. I stopped at 9 holes, asked for half of my money back, and the stubborn guy told me that there was nothing he could do. Overall the experience was pathetic. I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone. Get your stuff together Castle Creek or your doors might be closing sooner than you think.

This is one of the worst tracks I have ever played !! They should rent out Jeeps instead of Golf Carts. There hasn't been any water on the course since it last rained. The putting area ( I wont call them greens) have huge divots in them eliminating any putting skill and only luck to see how the ball goes from divot to divot. Gophers and Squirrels have completely taken over this piece of land. Driving a golf cart is a body jarring experience. The guy at the Junk Shop that took our money was just an a*** He couldn't be bothered to do his job. Skip this place and go play miniature golf it would require more skill.

Do NOT pay $60 to play this "golf course". Everything about it is pretty stupid. When you come in to the Ghetto pro-shop that is a COVID-cluttered MESS, the kid inside doesn't acknowledge you. Its like he has no idea what his job is - unless it's to be a rude Turd-dog. A sign says the bar is closed due to county regulations. I asked him what county we are in as we golfed the day before at a real course and the bar was open. He said, " i'm not sure, i think Escondido County"! We were on time and went to the "Starter" who quickly proved he was just as rude as Turd-diggity-dog. He said we were late and would have to wait. Oddly, i have a phone with the time displayed on it and showed him we were not late and the guys on the tee box are waiting to tee off. He said, "you're not going, you have to wait." Once on the tee box there is not a level surface. Fairways are terrible, bunkers terrible and greens are simply mowed weeds! You really cannot have a normal game of golf here. The "Marshall" Yelled at a homeless person who was in a creek-bed, ( who looked better than the marshall ) and proceeded to take out a club from his cart and join the guys ahead of us that took our tee time. Restrooms are closed on the course for no good reason. What is a lady to do if she happens to have her dot?? The only good thing was we were paired with two super nice gentlemen who saved the day for us by being awesome!

I'm not happy that the restaurant is still closed while the other are open. The golf course is still open which is awesome! But my review affects the lack of service with the manager. I asked her when is the bar is opening again and she said very soon and I came by on July 21st it's still closed and I bought some of my family to have breakfast but I asked the Pro Shop staff and they told me that they weren't opening until next year or so... I love the Grounds Crew members they're so nice and they keep the fields nice and green. I'm wishing that the manager can actually manage to open the restaurant or else I rather take my family to another place.
