Ive been to tj to eat tacos many times. This place is as close as it gets without having to cross the border. Really great food and attentive staff.

Food is ok at best. Have to ask for hot sauce and it's like very they keep it behind the counter. Only gave me 3 for 7 tacos.

Every time I wanted tacos I used to drive from Fallbrook to Chulavista. I cannot believe I found this AMAZING place. The adovada is the best. The only bad thing is that I have been there 3 weekends in a row ???. I wish they had tostadas and pineapple but they are really good as is. The place is clean with clean bathrooms and the taqueros are really helpful and nice. ❤

Food was super yummy! I got the carne asada tacos. But my friends got some of the other ones and everybody loved their food! The people making the food were nice even though I was tripping over my Spanish. Super yummy!

Excellent Adobada tacos, very well seasoned and carved fresh from the vertical roaster! The Carne Asada was pretty good with decent quality beef, but not especially tasty as the best, which are marinated and grilled. The guacamole schmear on top was nice. Both could have used more onion and cilantro. The salsas, just one green and one red, were both mediocre. While not a show stopper, the lack of fresh chips and salsa was disappointing. I figured out what TJ stands for: Tip Jar. As you move along collecting your food cafeteria style, each prep station has its own tip jar! Then when you go to pay there's a jar there too, and the credit card POS screen has the usual tip extraction interface.

First time here. Tacos were good. I ate Adobada (marinated pork), asada (chopped beef), and lengua (tongue). I’m not sure if the aguas frescas were freshly made because they were served served at a fountain machine

The adoboda taco was delicious, unfortunately everyone else in our group got carne asada burritos and they were gross. Tons of fat, very chewy low quality meat, and handfuls of cilantro.

I made a purchase of 82 dollars and when I asked for 2 extra sauces, the cashier didn't let me finish talking when she told me that I already had everything, she had 17 tacos and a fried adobada with 4 sauces that she gave me ???? I think it was a drop per taco so I don't get enchilarated ???
Why is it that they charge so much but always mess up my drive trew order and get all mad when you ask for sauce when you payed $40 for tacos already

The meat of the Adobada was .... *Chefs kiss* ? fatty, flavorful, everything you would want. The carne asada also was good. For anyone on a low carb diet, like myself, ask for half Adobada and half carne asada, no fries but with everything else. Grab some grilled onions and jalapeños and throw those on top with some radish and lime and their red and green salsas.... You will not be disappointed. A TON of food for $16 total. Worth every penny with that flavor and I was stuffed... I would've liked green onions but tbh the ones they had were fine.

Ordered asada, buche, and cabeza tacos. Did not really care for the asada tacos. The Buche was probably my favorite. And their salsas were pretry good. The guys handing out tacos are very attentive to customers, and they give good portions.
