While it was beautiful to sit outside, there was a wait so we belly’d up to the bar and watched how efficient and quick everyone worked together. Ordered a cup of their seafood chowder that had clams, shrimp and mushrooms and the Sandy Beach Sandwich with bay shrimp, bacon, green onions and cheddar cheese on grilled sourdough. Sitting at the bar we were able to see all of the food that came out! They had a hot and cold crab sandwich that both looked delicious . Their Pub Cod sandwich was huge! The Shrimp Louie salad was big and had a lot of bay shrimp on it. This place was definitely worth the wait! Don’t miss out!”

No flavor at all, just boiled water? The broccoli beef didn’t disappoint delicious as always but way too saucy to the point the broccoli floated and looked like soup. What happened? You guys are normally busy and it was dead and it still took 25 min to make.”

When there's no one else in line, I generally wait less than 5 min, and no longer than 10 min for lunch when it is busy. Prices recently went up but that's likely because the price of everything has gone up recently.”

“I visited Ramone’s in Old Town Eureka today with my girlfriend. We had good service overall, but I wanted to share some feedback that might help improve consistency.

I ordered a large coffee with heavy cream and vanilla flavoring, along with a cortado. The barista preparing the drinks didn’t seem familiar with what a cortado was, and although the person at the register told her verbally, she was then left on her own to figure it out. The drinks came out lukewarm, my coffee was overpowering with vanilla, and the cortado was extremely watery with no real texture or balance.

I finished them and politely asked for another cortado—this time hoping someone more experienced could prepare it. The second cortado was excellent, and the barista mentioned it was her favorite drink, which showed immediately in the quality. The difference between the first and second drink really highlighted the inconsistency.

My girlfriend’s matcha latte was also subpar compared to other locations.

This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed inconsistency at the Old Town location. A couple of times I’ve ended up with actual coffee grounds in my drip coffee, especially toward the end of the cup. I’m not sure how that’s getting through, but it’s only happened at this location, not at the Harrison Ramone’s, which is much more consistent.

I want to emphasize that the staff was friendly and the service was good. My feedback is simply about quality control and training. If new employees are being trained, it would help if experienced staff stayed involved to ensure drinks come out consistently, especially when customers are ordering more specialty items like cortados or Gibraltars.

I really enjoy Ramone’s and hope this feedback helps bring the Old Town location up to the same standard as the others.”

Expecting a very busy restaurant to answer the phone at all times is completely ridiculous because the restaurant is a fluid entity and you need to go with what decisions best serve who are already sitting in the restaurant. I find the Diver to always have excellent service and excellent food. I eat there at least twice per week and the service is always reliable and pleasant, as well as an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this to those who are into town whether a local or just visiting.”

I have never experienced a more positive work environment nor felt as welcome as I have here since day one. There's good reason this Cafe has been so successful for so long. It was hard to replace Amy Delight's friendly service but Island Delight is the perfect place to continue the home like vibe restaurant at this location.”

Every week they have a new special that is at least a 8/10, regularly a 9 or 10/10. A few months back they had a pulled pork sandwich special that was unbelievably delicious, an 11/10. They proudly display their trophy from winning burger week, and they deserve that and more. I love it here, and I have zero doubt you will too.”
