Delicious Carribean cuisine in downtown Eureka. Great indoor atmosphere, service and amazing food. I had fish stew and fried plantains. Many options for entree sides, spice levels, appetizers, desserts and more affordable meals!Vegetarian options: There are a decent amount of vegetarian and vegan options for a place that also serves a lot of meat and seafood. Tasty options too but less options for main dishes and house specialties than for lunch or side dishes. look at the menu first.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan dishes.Parking: Never been to busy for parking when I am down there. Parking lots nearby but idk if they are business specific or public.Wheelchair accessibility: big door, spacious inside.

Taste of Bim is 100% my favorite place to eat in Humboldt. Beautiful place, nice location, flavorful food and friendly service. I try to eat here as much as I can afford to.

Cute little Caribbean place, and boy oh boy, what an incredible meal! I asked the waiter if I should get the jerk chicken or the browned chicken, and before I even finished my sentence he said to go with the jerk chicken hands down. As my first time trying jerk seasoning, he wasn’t wrong at all. The jerk chicken was absolutely out of this world! The flavor was right on and so beautiful. The curry goat was also absolutely exceptional. I’m not a fan of goat but this meat was so tender, it was like smooth butter. The stewed vegetables were amazing in their own right, and I loved the rice and peas. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Maybe, like me, you’ll go out and buy jerk seasoning as soon as you’re done. This place is a real gem.

We decided to try A Taste of Bim for something a little different. It's got a mostly Caribbean menu based on the heritage of the owner. It's also nice to see local businesses do well. We had dinner at about 7 on a Friday. They weren't busy (there was a festival taking place a few blocks away with lots of food trucks). We found that a few things were a little strange. There are no straws for drinks or sugar to sweeten tea/coffee. Our dinners came with salad, which was served in one bowl (for both of us) with the entrees. They were out of jerk chicken, which would seem like a staple. My wife had grilled fish......she said it was a little over cooked. I had the whole roasted fish. It was covered with a sauce that was really good; however, I'm not sure it was trimmed properly. I have had whole fish entrees dozens of times and expect to find bones. In this dish, I found bones but also what appeared to be gills or fins. They were hard to find under the sauce. This made it a little hard to eat. Our server was good and we found the prices to be reasonable.

We “discovered” Taste of Bim on one of our previous visits to Eureka and just HAD to dine there again. The tastes are just simply scrumptious! The Frizzled Cod, Grilled Mahi-Mahi and the Fish Curry Stew were sensational! The Hibiscus drink was truly remarkable … I ordered a second one!

I paid $50 for two oxtail. I can't believe they paired it up with mashed potatoes. Disgusting. Why not add some rice and veggies. I can't eat this.

Great food with authentic Caribbean food. Try the whole red snapper and the goat curry. Leave some room for the bread pudding with rum sauce.

Cute Caribbean restaurant in Old Town. We LOVE their jerk wings (appetizer) and beef patties! Really can't go wrong with anything you order there! The doubles and cod fritters are also really good.Vegetarian options: There are definitely vegetarian options on their menu.

Loved it! Ate here several times while I stayed in Eureka. The owner was super nice and gave this traveler some good tips on things to do while in town. Bonus: you're supporting a black owned business!

The food was delicious, I had the Goat curry and Cod fritters and a Guava drink. The service was excellent. Very friend and accommodating Even though they do not open for dining untill 4:00, the owner let me sit outside and eat. The atmosphere was nice. I will definitely come back!!!
