The food is amazing. However, they do not let anyone use the restroom unless they are dining in (not even if they are doing take out) and have multiple signs posted stating this. It's extremely inconsiderate to paying customers, in my opinion.

I hadn't been to an i hop location in a while. I was not thrilled with the service here but it was not the worst I have had. I brought my son here for birthday pancakes! He had a blast and the pancakes were very good. It was not busy inside and it was pretty clean. Parking was easy. There was plenty. It took a long time for us to get our food. That was sad. The milkshake was great and the waiter was kind to give us the extra shake that was left over from the blender. I'd go back but my expectations are not high. This area of Fairfield has a homeless problem and they roam the area at times.

We came to IHOP to honor our military member and enjoy breakfast with the rest of our family. We understood it will be busy so no complaint there ,but the host was guiding us to a booth which we prefer as we had 2 young children, but then he all of a sudden led us off to the side. When I asked if he can have a booth , the host replied " he said not to seat anyone here because he was too busy". However 5 minutes later another family of the same size sat at the booth of a different ethnicity. We immediately felt uneasy and discriminated. We will most likely advise our friends and family to go to another IHOP where they are fair on who sits where .

I came in one afternoon with my two kids and stood in front by the host desk for 10 mins while I watched at least 4-5 servers just look at us and not acknowledge us or seat us. The place was not busy. Each server only had one or two tables. I wonder had we been Caucasian and not Asian, we would have been seated. Needless to say, after 10 mins of having made eye contact with everyone that worked in the restaurant and not being acknowledged, we left disappointed and went to Denny's instead. My kids keep asking to go to IHOP but I have not returned there since. I even saw some white elderly customers looking at us with sympathy because they know IHOP did us wrong. I just felt bad for my kids because they were looking forward to eating at IHOP but to get ignored for no reason. I wasn't even there for the kids eat free promotion but maybe that's why they didn't seat us. Poor excuse whatever their reasons were.
