Amazing restaurant with great food. All of the food was on point, wait staff great. The hostess was a little preoccupied and probably a little young to be unsupervised. Her lack of attention would not stop me from coming back. I had the artichoke dip, shared a salad with my husband and our friends ordered the wedge and shared. All food was served quickly. Two of us had the filet, one of us the short ribs and one pasta. No complaints all hot and very tasty. Enjoyed everything, just wish we had a scenery to view not into the road so much, but again came for the food.Only complaint and might reconsider going when its hot is the lack of parking and safety concerns with parking on the side of the road.

Stumbled in here when going for a wine tasting at the Filling Station bar across the road. Very pleasantly surprised: excellent cuisine, very kind staff, good wine card, nice selection of draft beers and not too expensive. My wife had The pulled pork burger, I had the rigatoni bolognese. Both excellent. We came back in hè day after in the evening …

This business is not community friendly. I have mankas gift cards and not they are telling me that they are not honoring gift cards purchased before covid. Therefore, if you have spent any amount of money on mankas restaurant, in Fairfield because of the name and past popularity, you might as well throw it in the garbage. They flat out said they don't honor them anymore whether it's 300.00 dollars or 1,000.00, it's trash! I will no longer support that business with that type of post covid mentality.

Anita recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The shrimp salad and ceviche tostadas were very good. Nice outdoor seating area and nicely decorated interior.

They have new owners now, and after their remodel, we were quite impressed with the new facility. The place was packed as well with patrons, a good sign. The wife ordered their Filet, asking to substitute the mashed potatoes with sweet potato fries. Disappointed that we were charged extra for this, considering the price of the Filet. She loved her dinner, as the Filet was cooked perfectly, good flavor, and very tender. I ordered the Pasta Bolognese, and was pleasantly surprised on the flavor of the ragu. Very Good. Very good service as well. Then it dawned on me...no bread was offered, and I did not see any on other tables. They need to fix that. Based on the quality of food and service, we will return.

Have not been here in years and the restaurant has gone thru several owners. The place was hopping. Our waiter was very friendly. Brought us water immediately and let us know what the specials were. The Caesar salad was excellent and huge. We order two and for the four of us it was plenty. The King Salmon was served over a pea purée with asparagus, mashed potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The filet was also excellent. Loki forward to going again.

Not bad but not fantastic. Had the chicken which was good but the sides were blah. Server had no personality but her assistant was great and made up for it. Had an issue with being cold and the assistant made sure that the heater was lit after we said something. The others in the party were bit disappointed because they had been there before and they said that the portions are smaller which was disappointing. All in all we did have a good evening though.

Well you are closing because you are very expensive, that's like by San Francisco top restaurants expensive, you are in Fairfield, I know Cordelia could afford you and your food is great, but common guys. I hope whoever opens again learns to be reasonable. Overall we are sad to see you go.

I was excited to hear Mankas steakhouse reopened as Mankas Backdoor Grill so we came here for dinner. To have a steakhouse literally down the street from our home is exciting. Reservations required via email or phone only. The decor is pretty much the same. What I was hoping for was a higher caliber of service. Checking in with the hostess was awkward. She didn’t say anything and just looked at me as if I was interrupting her. Maybe it’s the weather. Dinner service was the same. I mean just getting water refills was challenge. I don’t expect the quality of service to improve, its not bad just not great. I know its a balance of finding good staff in this area and just needing staff.

As they knew they would be closing and filing BR, they accepted gift card purchases. You totally suck!
