Food looks good but the flavors weren't there... I wouldn't eat there again plus over priced for what it is.

The food wasn't great. We ordered a carne asada taco salad based upon pics we saw online and it looked like some nice pieces of meat. When we got it it didn't look so great and the meat did not taste good. Seemed a little overcooked or something

I would advise nobody to go here. John the security guy is a rude nasty person. I would like to know who is in charge of this crazy individual who calls customers out of their name and feels big and bad screaming in faces over forgetting an ID in the car? Shame on this whole establishment the bartender claimed they didn't see anything as my friend asked if this is how they treat people.

We haven't been to Hacienda Del Rio in years. I chose it, ignoring the reviews, because it was open on Monday, was a convenient location for people coming from different areas to meet, and we'd had good food in the past. We were extremely happy with the choice! We got happy hour prices in the restaurant seating and all the food was excellent!! I had the shrimp fajitas and WOW... nicely marinated and plentiful. Others had salmon fajitas, Chile verde, and a marinated beef taco salad. My brother in law said as we walked out, "this is the best Mexican food we've eaten in the area since we moved here last year". I think that comment explains the 5 stars. We were happy we tried this place again.

We had a post wedding breakfast this past Sunday at this restaurant. Wanted to meet with visiting family before they traveled back East. There was 14 of us on the outside patio. The food and service was excellent. The Patio looks over Sutter and Riley streets. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Our server gave excellent service. I wanted a zero calorie drink. She suggested unsweetened tea. I asked for splenda and lemon with it and voila! ?My friend wanted a particular type of green sauce but wasn't sure what it was called. Our server went through every type they had, describing the differences in flavor and ingredients. When they narrow down to two possible, she brought both! ? My friend was very happy and one one them was the one she really wanted! Another waitress came over from her section and took group ? pictures for us! For 4 out 5 in our group, this was our first time at this establishment and in old Folsom. ? Very good way to ensure we return!! Also, even tho we had just finished a 7 mile walk on the Johnny Cash Trail, because we were in such a good mood after eating here, we walked some more around Old Folsom!! ? p.s. the food is yummy too! ?Vegetarian options: Meatless sausage choices, vegetables Parking: Very close, free

This used to be such a fun place. We came for a birthday, I made reservations. They sat us in a cold uncomfortable room. The food was terrible. Our server Brandon, was the only bright spot. It is really sad how this place has gone down hill. I grew up in Folsom and my son and I used to come here often, it was welcoming and the food was great. Not now! Do not come here!

I came to this restaurant many times over the past 25 years since I was a child with my parents and then as an adult. The last few times I ate here we had good food and good service. However this past Sunday my husband and I came at brunch time. He ordered a dish with Al Pastor meat, which he has had before here and enjoyed. When it was served he told me it didn't look like it did last time, the color of the meat was off. He tried it and said it was bland and tasted nothing like the last time he had it. He told our server, who brought the item back to the kitchen. A few minutes later our server returned and said "The chef said that's the way he always makes it and if you don't like it you should just order something else." We were stunned. We asked for the manager to which our server replied "I will see what time the manager gets in." We were then told by another server the chef was remaking his dish. However we were so offended we were no longer comfortable eating there and left. We received no apologies, the servers were unfriendly, and we were made to feel that we were being unreasonable. We will never eat there again because of the chef's unprofessional and disrespectful behavior.

The food was amazing at a great price. I got the super nacho in the large size and it was only like $12 but it was served on a large pizza trey and I could barely finish half of it. All around fantastic food and a great location.

The food was delicious. The service was mediocre. Jose was our waiter and though he was nice, he just wasn't attentive. Food was on point.

Well... We used to come here all the time... long ago. We are sitting here in the restaurant tonight, a special birthday night, not very happy at all . We have a party of 9, and we called ahead. All of our chimi's showed up at the table cold inside. Their golden ranchera sauce is not golden in any way, its red like all others. We came for a special birthday dinner, and they are really messing it up, and I am not happy at all. The manager Edward is a freaking kid, and he is not fixing anything quickly, if at all. I doubt we will ever be back. Sooo dissapointing to say the least.

I delicious local Mexican restaurant. I have been coming here for awhile now and I never have a bad experience. Staff is always friendly and food comes out quick. I stopped getting fajitas years ago due to them being bland, yet at Hacienda they are so flavorful that it is my go to thing to order. Their house made salsa is AMAZING. Highly recommended and a spot I will continue to go to.

Great outdoor dining spot in Old Town Folsom. Chips and Salsa were off the Richter scale. Salsa had a zesty, fresh flavor. Rest of the food was excellent and the Modelo Negras were Bomb??. If in the city of Folsom I highly recommend Hacienda Del Rio.

I found this place right after we moved to the area and it's become a weekly treat. Whether it's for lunch, taco Tuesday, Karaoke, or just drinks. The top shelf Margarita I'd my favorite and the tacos are no joke, I can only eat 1 and a half hungry lol. We also enjoy sharing the nachos, delicious and plenty big enough for 2! The only reason I'm not giving a five star is that the service is hit or miss. Most of the time they're amazing but I've had a couple bad experiences.

Ok, so it has been years since I have been to the Hacienda in old town Folsom. It was EXCELLENT!!! What a fantastic happy hour. The staff was amazing and friendly. The margaritas were so good and top shelf was so cheap way happy hour. Nachos were 7$ not only delicious, but they were HUGE !!!
