I have been eating at Hisui Suishi for years. Unfortunately, when they changed ownership, the sushi chefs changed also. I don't know who's decision that was but it wasn't good for business. I ordered my usual roll and was very disappointed that it wasn't the same. As a matter of fact, it wasn't edible. I ate a few pieces and threw the rest out. I won't be back unless the other chefs return. I wish the restaurant the best and hope they can make corrections to stay in business. The people are nice. Food isn't good anymore.

We tried the BBQ Albacore and Dom Chirachi, neither blew us away. Would come back to try a few rolls, but not in a hurry to try again soon.

Macy was the best server we experienced in years. She's a 10 plus!!! She could teach others to hustle with a smile. The food was quite good as well. The establishment was clean and comfortable. We definitely will go back and recommend this place to others.

Really great place. Food was amazing! I'm from reno, and the fact they had all you can eat her as an option for a certain window of the day was awesome! They were under staffed and still killed it! A must

The sashimi fish and “crab salad” was inedible, definitely not fresh. My husband is not picky and LOVES sushi and he couldn’t even eat it. The fried green beans were good as was the crispy rice roll.

Rarely have I updated a review on YELP however it's been over 4 years since I last Yelped about Hisui and this place is note worthy to be mentioned again. Hubby and I came for the all you can eat buffet on a Saturday a week before Thanksgiving. Macy was our server and she was incredible! Very attentive, friendly and made sure our dining experience was perfect. We always get friendly service here however Macy was above and beyond. Checked in on us often and was always ready to take our next order just before we finished so that we didn't have to wait too long for the next round of order. 4 years ago the cost for the AYCE was just under $19. Currently cost is about $30 however the fish portion is generous and not skimpy. The fish lays well over both sides of the rice and the side dishes that can be ordered is very appealing as well so there are many options to choose from to satisfy one's craving. I do miss the unagi eel however there are plenty of other options to choose from. The seaweed salad, pot stickers, miso soup and cucumber salad are my normal choices. Finish off the new with the deep fried banana-yummers! Even though a Saturday can get busy we usually arrive just after opening so we can always get a booth to sit at. Parking is ample and easy to find always. Bathrooms are kept clean and tables are also kept clean. After 5 years of dining here we are truly Thankful for this gem of a place!

Great service and sushi. A staple in Folsom. Ambiance is welcoming and courteous. Never bad service.

I have found this to be the best place around since moving from San Jose...took me a while to find it but I love it.Now..I did want to make an comment in which personally after my visit last week (haven't gotten any food here for maybe 4months) I felt the special rolls seemed to be a bit bigger, filled with a bit more rice.I could be wrong ..and will definitely be back but I hope this really doesn't become the new norm because their food is really delicious....but super big rolls is just not my thing. Will definitely give it the 5th star if my next visits go back to how it was :)

We go here a lot. The service is very good and the staff are attentive and welcoming. Beef teriyaki is one of my family members go to meals. They have a lot of sushi rolls and cooked meals to pick from. Great place to go if you love sushi but also need other items for people who don’t that are dining with you.

We got the $30 sushi buffet for lunch. It was a great value. The sushi rolls are smaller than usual which is good because your get to sample different sushi and nigiri. The banana dessert was on point.

Gotta be honest... I was disappointed. If you are going to charge Mikuni prices then you need to deliver a Mikuni experience... and they didn't.While our sushi roll was fine, it wasn't exceptional. The service was VERY slow and the physical plant is just a plain old room. Nothing special at all. For $19 per roll, I expected more.

I hate all you can eat sushi ?, or I did, this place does it the way it should be. Premium sushi for reasonable prices. We will be back for sure, 2 people under $70, normally the wife and I are somewhere around $140 when we do sushi.

This is a local's favorite. Flavorful and creative rolls, lots of wine and beer options. My kids love the dragon roll, halo roll, and hamachi Kama. The combo dinners are good value. My go to it's the sushi, sashimi nigiri combo because it covers everything I like. They have something for everyone's taste buds. Also serves good Ramen.

I have no idea why the rating for this place is so high. The service was lacking and the only people who seemed friendly were the Hispanic sushi chefs. Looks can be deceiving. The quality of the food was not good so I'm wondering if I just came on a bad day. The fish was softer and warmer than it should've been. The staff was just standing around in pockets having conversations. This place is a hard pass.
