“Ambiance - 5/5 Great experience wit unique decor, the dining area gives off the old street vibes for sure. When you walked in, immediately you are greeted with this nice Chinese decoration. Even their mugs are unique and give the old street vibes.
Food - 5/5 we ordered some skewers, malatang and tomato beef brisket noodle soup. I said their malatang is the best and the highlight here. We ordered the mild spicy Cheng Du soup base that comes with less soup and serve on a big platter. The broth is clean yet super flavorful, tasty with a good strong hint of spice. The heat level was just nice for us as we get to enjoy the broth without the numbing/burning hot effect.
Their fried tofu and quail eggs skewers are seasoned just nice and only complained is the portion is small as I was expecting more than 3pieces of tofu per skewers. But then again these are not the normal cold tofu (it's the better grade, chewy version).
We ended with their rice cake. It's so good and addictive. I couldn't stop eating and have to hold myself back to save the last piece for my family. It's crunchy on the outside but super light and airy inside (unlike most other rice cakes which are usually fairly dense) And very soft and chewy.
Service - 5/5 Very good, observant and attentive. They provided us with extra napkins without us having to ask for more.

“I finally found the shawarma I was looking for! For more than a decade I have searched for doner kebabs that prepare meat like the ones they do in Paris (the way the Moroccans and Algerians make it). And these folks do wonderful shawarma / kebabs. We ordered beef gyro, chicken gyro and crispy chicken burger. All of the food was 5/5. We were greeted by a super kind gentlemen named Aziz who made us feel at home.

Opted for this place rather than one of my husband’s preferred big chain coffee shops and although we ended up not getting a drink, I’m really glad we came. The Biskit Wisk It was absolutely delicious and the perfect portion for me in one sitting. I also appreciate that the patio area can be used as an entrance from the parking lot in the back, but heads up that the parking lot can get chaotic on a farmer’s market day.”

“We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.”

I’ve been to Sushi Ken in Fremont several times now, and every visit has been absolutely fantastic. This place truly never disappoints. The staff—both the servers and the chefs—are always so welcoming and kind, which makes the dining experience feel extra special every time.
One of the first things I love is the free appetizer they serve right away—usually edamame, fries, or sometimes both! It’s such a fun and tasty surprise to start your meal. The sushi itself is delicious and always priced at a great value, which means I usually end up ordering several rolls (no regrets!). The best part? The service is fast—my food always comes out quickly, with hardly any wait time at all.
To top it all off, they bring you a free scoop of ice cream for dessert, which is such a thoughtful and sweet way to end the meal. It’s those little touches that make this spot stand out.
The atmosphere is also really nice—spacious, clean, and with plenty of seating. It never feels cramped or rushed. Plus, it’s located in an outdoor shopping center with plenty of parking, which makes it super convenient.

“We haven’t left the restaurant and I’m writing this review. It’s been years since I’ve come to Country Way and I’m so glad we came here. It feels like stepping into a piece of Fremont’s history, yet the restaurant looks so well maintained.
We got the linguicia omelette, country fried steak, and French toast. Everything tasted so good! The French toast was unlike others we’ve had—it’s like a happy combo of pancakes and French toast. Would recommend getting extra crispy potatoes. Service was quick and so friendly! Thanks Country Way!”

They also got this cool little fish tank and some chill lighting that kinda sets a nice mood, you know? Not super fancy, but definitely adds to the vibe.
Now, the food itself was tasty, no doubt. Just a heads-up, it was maybe a tad on the salty side for my taste. And one other thing – they use bamboo skewers instead of the metal ones. Wasn't a big deal or anything, just something I noticed.
Overall though, I had a good experience. Quick, easy, and the place has a cool, laid-back feel. Would def check it out again.”

It's open from early into the morning to late at night. The food is not just continental, but a diverse mix, which is normally a bad sign, but here its the perfect mix: from an exquisite absolutely massive Turkish breakfast representing the owner's culture (with a delicious pot of Indian tea), to hard-to-find Phillipino food, likely the chef's. There's also Afgan food, with kebab's in a far larger serving size than any place around.

Everything we’ve tried off the menu has been really good, just like street stalls from Mumbai.
Our favorites are the kala khatta and kashmiri soda for drinks, chole kulcha, misal paav, tavaa pulav, and chaat for veg food, and shrimp sukha and fish thaali for meats.

The same as the surrounding Filipino restaurants. However, the owners’ friendliness and genuineness were apparent. Both sisters on two separate occasions, stopped at my table and engaged in a warm conversation, making me feel like a beloved family. I felt like I was being served at Nobu. I say this having grown up in Flushing, Queens and living in both Mainland China (and Hong Kong) for over twenty years since. I have been eating dim sum weekly for probably 45 years or more. I have been to Michelin rated dim sum restaurants and the most famous/notable eateries in both NYC and San Francisco. Pearl Bay is hands down my favorite. It has a really extensive choice of dishes. The food is fresh and uses some really high quality ingredients. My only (small) criticism is the quality of the hot sauce, which I prefer mixed with red bean paste rather than sriracha. But next time I may bring my own. This place is perfect for large parties. You can make reservations too, so why are you waiting?! And the staff are lovely, both friendly, quick and accommodating. The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.”

It was even served with a side of sliced fresh onions in vinegar and soy sauce together with another side of white sauce that tasted like cream of broccoli soup. Everything on the table, including a complimentary mango-with-yogurt drink, was a perfect blend, and I did not have to drench the table napkin nor my shirt with my sweat due to the level of spices tolerated by Indians but excessive to non-Indians. They gave me, a non-Indian, a spicy meal that I relished earlier this evening! Kudos to the entire staff!”

I really liked the khatta meetha pani the best. The chaat came out quickly, but we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the pani puri. The best part is that we didn’t have to wait aimlessly, it was well organized with buzzers.”

“Interesting shop that sell primarily chicken feet.it is small store with the display of all the flavor of chicken feet and you can try any one of it. It is boneless chicken feet. It just opened couple months a go. It is not easy to find as the store name Hao Shi Ji. You order using the touch screen kiosk. It also has stand at Great mall.
Beside chicken feet it also has the rice and mince pork rice.
There are 5 variant of the flavors. For me the spicy one is good. There is also spiciest level. Pricewise I think quite high. It is unique experience.”

“Nov 9 2025, our first time here. We only tried 2 drinks but they were great! They have snacks like a bubble waffle, I'm sure it's tasty. Cool atmosphere, not too loud, you can have a convo without telling. The place is clean, there are a few tables (regular & high tops) that fit up to 4 people, ada accessible. The employees are nice, she answered my questions about the drinks. We got 1) the Mochi milk tea (black tea) 25% sugar, the whipped topping was added sweetness to milk tea as well, I prob could've did 0% sweet and still liked it and 2) Caramel Coffee Latte (iced) 50% sweet & added boba, the coffee flavor was really good and the light & airy crunchy caramel thing they add in was really good too! Great price point on the drinks too. $5-$8 bucks. We'll be back for more!”

“Visited one evening with friends after reading reviews online, and I wasn't disappointed at all. The biryani for sure is the best in Bay area. The mandi reminded me of the mandi at Barkas area in Hyderabad and the chicken 65 and chicken Majestic that I order as take away for my room mate was also amazing.
The owners are friendly and open to suggestions, I happened to meet them. I would like them to open a bigger place, it seems popular and can get very busy so I think a bigger place might help.”

“Cozy Starbucks location inside Ohlone College by Pine street open daily even if the school is close. The store does annouce if they have to adjust their hours based on holidays. Free Wifi, have outdoor sitting, plenty of parking. They even even have an Amazon locker next to it.
