“Exceptional experience here. The Chinese skewers were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The owner's warmth and genuine interest in customer satisfaction added a special touch to the dining experience. They were eager to hear feedback and offered great advice on menu choices. Can't wait to visit again!“
“Delicious spicy food! Came here to celebrate a family friend's birthday so we reserved a room in the back. It comes with a karaoke machine. The host of our party ordered a gigantic spread of items from the menu. I'd say I enjoyed 80% of the food ordered. Everything was fragrant and flavorful. The boss came into our room to wish our family friend happy birthday and gave us a free red bean soup dessert and a huge free bowl of noodle soup. Very kind of her!“
“We had our family dinner here last night. The food was just AWESOME! It gave me a big surprise with the taste of the food! I would say it’s the best Szechuan food in the Bay Area! We talked to the owner and she is originally from Szechuan and the whole staff are from that area. That is why they have the most authentic Szechuan cuisine.“
“The best Szechuan food in the East Bay! Must try LaZiJi(spicy chicken), the most valuable portion, tastiest, most tender inside and crispy outside lovely bites of chicken ever. The chef is a culinary master from China. The owners are super friendly, always make you feel welcome, definitely a hidden gem in Hayward, where good food is scarce.“
“Family owned, food is great and always fresh. Service is quick and timely and though I have never eaten in the restaurant itself it gives you that "whole -in-the-wall" vibe which everyone knows are the best places to eat. The food and friendly staff reflect that assumption“
“I've been here enough times to confirm the consistency of the quality. I like the MaLaTang offered at this restaurant the most. You pick the items you want included in your MaLa() from a buffet line, your selection is weighed, and they cook it for you. You get to choose 1 of 3 options of how you'd like your MaLa() cooked -- hot pot, stir fry, or something else. You also choose your level of spiciness . I choose 0 spice, but some friends that think they can usually handle mild find level 1 spice to be surprisingly much spicier than what they expect (typically what they consider a 4-5).I love this place since they cook for you, so unlike other hot pot places, there's no chance for you to over-boil your own food. The broth flavor offered here also is savory, and matches my palate. I think some other hot pot places could improve their broth since it's not memorable or anything better than what you make at home.I will continue to go back for the MaLaTang (soup). My friends think this is their best strength on the menu, too. Although the fries look fancy in presentation (they use dry ice in its own bowl and refill the water in the dry ice bowl to continue the show), I found it too greasy but without much flavor or the right crunch to order again.“
“Very authentic Szechuan food!!!Came here multiple times bc of my favorite Fish-flavored Shrimp Shreds (鱼香肉丝). This time tried Spicy Shrimp (香辣虾), which was juicy and spicy that also very good! Loofah (清炒丝瓜) is hard to find in Bay Area but a popular dish at home. Dry pot chicken (干锅鸡) actually was tender. Would definitely come again!!“
“A solid four stars for this hot pot restaurant. The entrance looks impressive and the seating area looks nice as well, but there are some areas of the restaurant that don't look as on theme. The items are ordered a la carte and somewhat expensive, but there is a lot of variety in beef and lamb. My favorite was the beef rib eye. They have an extensive sauce bar with snacks like sesame balls.“
“I have been eating in restaurants in the Bay Area for more than 20 years. It is definitely our family's favorite, from young to old... It has been open since 1994. In such a highly competitive catering industry, it has been 30 years, and every dish tastes delicious. Change. The first meal every time my son returns to the Bay Area, and the last meal every time he leaves home, is always a family dinner here. Coordinate positioning: Newark, East Bay.The eighth picture shows the proprietress Nancy taking a photo with her family. Highly recommended to everyone, I hope their business will always be prosperous and my son will feel like he is back home every time he comes home.“
“For the price I love the food at Da Sichuan restaurant. I think some of the negative reviews are not taking into account the price range of the food (and tempering their expectations accordingly). I like their lamb dish and enjoyed their braised egg plant. The portion size is moderate. Service is nice and parking is at the back so it’s easy to drive toVegetarian options: Have a vegetarian section at back of English menuParking: Parking in the back“
“My recent visit to Mongolian restaurant left me utterly impressed. The ambiance was enchanting, with its authentic Mongolian decor and soothing lighting that set the perfect mood. The service was exceptional – the staff was not only courteous but also incredibly knowledgeable about Mongolian cuisine, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. And the food, oh, the food! It was a symphony of flavors that transported me straight to Mongolia. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with authenticity. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.“
“We loved the fish and the variety of meat you can add in the soup! The bone soup itself is very delicious and friendly to us, who can eat spicy but prefer not to (a little 上火 at the moment). We enjoyed the service and the throwback Chinese music.“
