I was disappointed of the amount of vegetable topping on Umani Ramen was a lot less than it used to be. The toppings were drowning in the soup. Next time I might need to order "extra topping".

This Umemura ramen is very busy too crowded in the afternoon especially weekends. Open everyday closed on Tuesdays. I enjoy eating kanitama fried rice & chashu ramen. The table & the counter is nice, clean & convenient. The service & the atmosphere is great. This Gardena location wins. Japanese, many Asian, Hispanic & American people visit frequently. 100% recommended. Unfortunately nor credit or debit cards aren’t accepted. CASH ONLY.

The best Ramen in the LA area. Their Ramen is good old school, not the fancy type that have popped up.
It feels like a small town Chinese restaurant started by a Japanese couple.Of course she speaks English, but the proprietress of the hall is Japanese and I am thankful that she can speak her full Japanese. The menu also includes fried rice, gyoza, ramen, and mapo tofu.I'm glad it's such a valuable shop where I can feel Japan while I'm overseas.Kid-friendliness: No need to worry as there were people with children.
This restaurant is so cozy! I love the laid-back atmosphere and the service was excellent. Our server was very kind and hospitable. Definitely recommend the fried rice and gyoza. Both were fantastic. My husband loved the chashu ramen as well. This will be our go-to spot whenever we're craving ramen. ?
Huge portions, not much meat, but broth is thick and flavorful. 21 oz beer + Ramen under $25 dollars. Friendly and not overly attentive staff. Will come again

Umemura is one of the ramen restaurants I like. This time I had a cold ramen (hiyashi Chuka) which is only for summer time. They have 2 kinds of sauces, ponzu and sesame miso sauce. I chose ponzu sauce. It was so tasty. But I want to try one with sesame miso sauce next time.
