My sister and I go here every Friday and have been customers since they opened! Jorge is a great waiter which is another reason we love El Charro!

Always love their guacamole and chips and salsa and the drinks are strong and the beef fajitas are the best in the world and I have traveled. Missed this place after covid I didn't come for a long time as they stopped serving beef Fajitas. When I called to see if they had them this afternoon I was delighted to hear they did. So I immediately told mom we were going there for dinner! She had my other favorite there ... cheese enchiladas.

Excellent food. Great service. Atmosphere is a bit depressing though. Very few customers.
Wonderful! Margaritas & a burrito at the bar with Debbie tending bar, offering butter cookies for dessert yummo! Truly an enjoyable experience.

Typical Mexican restaurant food, great location; never crowded because the ambiance and decor are so outdated, lol. Long-time employees are friendly and helpful.

This food is copied Mexican food, looks like it but without the flavor. Probably white grandmas who think black pepper is spicy would like this food. Mexican lite

El Charro restaurant... More like El "Chorro".. My family and I were really looking forward on eating here based on the positive reviews on Google but boy were we misled.. The food was absolutely disgusting and far from being authentic "Mexican". When the food rolled out it became very obvious this establishment catered to American folk.. Everything was coated with yellow American cheese, the enchilada sauce and salsas tasted like they were straight out of a can.. I would consider Taco Bell and Del Taco more authentic "Mexican" than this place.. I can't complain about the service.. The host, the server and the mouse that jumped out from under our booth were very polite.. I definitely will not be coming back and I wouldn't recommended El Charro to anyone who loves REAL Mexican food.
I’m giving it a five star on their Chili Verde burrito and plate. I’ve been coming here since 1989 and moved away in 94. When I’m in town for business I always come in for their Chili Verde. I’ve been know to bring a company car on a business trip and load up an ice chest with 3 more burritos to go and get home and eat one and freeze two.

The food was great and the service was even better! Friendly and attentive. The chips and salsa were perfect. I drove all the way from Burbank because I wanted to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint me. ? Good parking, highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

The quality and the flavor of food has always exceeded my expectations. The service is great with amazing bartenders. I highly recommend El Charro.Parking: Large, free parking lot and after hours, you can park in the Anawalt Lumbar lot.
Let me cut to the Chase.. I've been coming here for 20 plus years. The best Mexican neighborhood restaurant in all of Glendale and it's surrounding communities. It has survived stock market crashes, 911 and most recently the pandemic. No skimping on Quality of food here...Recipes have been around for almost 100 yearsis... Sure there are prettier mexican restaurants around...And if that's what you're looking for then pass this place up and go to "El Torito..."I invite you to name a place right now, off the top of your head, that has been around as long as El Charo.
