“Solid place to get some Hawaiian food for yourself or for the fam. I ordered their mini meal which was $9.99 plus tax. Solid choice-- comes w your choice of meat, some cabbage, Mac salad, and rice. Not a bad price point for what you get. What I wish it came with is a drink. That would definitely make the mini meal a great mini meal imo. All in all good place“
“When I came in, I was welcomed in by Joon. He was so sweet. I loved talking to him so I hope to see him again when I come back. Our food was sooooo gooood the meat here is the best I've had. It melted in our mouths, while the pork was so tasty. The side dishes they gave were amazing and went well with our food. definitely try the kimchi and salad here if you ever come here Their decorations were so pretty and the music they played made our night so fun since it made us feel like we're in a club.“
“The noodle dishes were very good! We had a largish group, so we tried the first three soups on the menu and a couple of the dry noodle dishes, which were all Delicious. The chicken skewers were all bone and not worth the trouble of eating. The lamb skewers were tasty but greasy. I liked the cumin-heavy seasoning a lot.“
“"The steakhouse 5 stars enough! This place was AMAZING! The burger was hands down the best I've ever had - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. But what really made my experience stand out was the incredible staff. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food and service. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and I felt like I was part of a special community. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience."“
“Great coming back to our new fave KBBQ spot. Prefer it much more than Gen. Love the “butcher style” vibes and how they cook for you. Great cuts of meat!!! Gio, Calvin, Devin were great hosts. Super consistent across diff locations. Highly recommend this place.“
“I was craving something similar to yoshinoya while in the area and came across this place. I ordered a chicken bowl which arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. First thing I noticed was this place packs the food to the brim. The lid was barely hanging onto the bowl. There was plenty of well seasoned chicken cooked teriyaki style and generous amounts of veggies. The portion was way bigger than what I was expecting. The rice underneath was soft and fluffy too. Overall, this place served a very delicious chicken bowl. For the cost and quantity+quality of the food, it was definitely worth it. I'll be coming back to try other items on the menu.“
“I’ve been to this place a few times but never wrote the review for it. First of all, in this area, this is the best bbq spot. With that being said, the customer service upon entering the restaurant was sketchy at first but it got better as I stayed to order my food. I had to drive here to order because the phone never got answered nor did the online service work. I got the chicken sandwich, 1/2 chicken, fries, mac & cheese, and Cole slaw. The sandwich was good, the chicken was okay and the sides were decent. You can dine in if you want but at the time I went, they were really busy so the wait from what I seen was about 15 to 20 minutes. I don’t think they take reservations. I would say to go and visit the place for yourself. It is worth the drive if you’re in the area. I would not say drive from LA to come here when there are other spots along the way.“
“Great take out spot for sushi and Hawaiian bbq!Food is delicious! Fast no frills! Good portion size.Came here for lunch take out one day and ordered several items from the menu. The place is a small shop with a few table and really only for take out which is totally fine by me.It was super easy to order at the counter, and I didn't have to wait very long for the food to come out. Everything was cooked fresh. Everything tasted delicious and the portion sizes. Very good.Definitely be coming back again.“
“Excellent service and great food! Had made a reservation for a large party, greeted us by name and tables were prepared with side dishes when we arrived. Waiter went above and beyond, was attentive and accommodating. Great quality food as well!“
“I bought their prime rib meal for $29.95 and returned 2 weeks later for another one. The meat was excellent, as you may expect--tender, juicy, and seasoned well. The generous sides change weekly and are tasty as well. It's a great bargain for the amount of food you get, plus, the owners and prime rib Pedro are good guys.I need to try their barbecue one of these days.I will definitely return.“
“The food is good and I recommend to go here with friends cause the food portions are pretty big. They also serve ice cream after, and the waiters/waitresses are very kind. One thing to keep in mind is that you're not allowed to bring outside drinks/food. The interior has a rusty yet cozy feel to it, and they play K-pop music on speakers even though it isn't that audible. This place is still enjoyable though.“
“I had the brisket sandwich, and my wife had the iceberg wedge.I had the brisket at the suggestion of the cashier/waitress, and I was not disappointed. I can't remember eating a more tender brisket anywhere. I usually shy away from brisket when I eat out because it's usually tough, not very tender. I'm so glad I tried it.My wife had the iceberg wedge. It did not look like your typical wedge salad. This thing was like a boat of flavorful toppings. Bleu cheese crumbles, bacon bits, even the cherry tomatoes on it were good.I definitely recommend traveling here to eat, even if it's out of your way.“
“I’m a fan. Lots of history here. This was also a filming location for the movie Bad Santa. The hotel IS haunted. But I don’t believe it is yet operational again. The Mayan is and it’s a really cool place. The staff is super friendly and engaging as well. Be sure to walk around and check out the pictures on the wall. Yes! They are from the 30s and 40s. Welcome to Old Route 66.“
“Our favorite family spot for birthdays and other special occasions, like being mesmerized d by the delightful scent escaping from the smoky meats. Side dishes are always excellent, try the loaded baked potato. Great selection of cocktails, beer & wine.“
“Queenie is the best! Came from the Bay Area heading to LA and gave this place a try. The shrimp roll is yum pho flavor vibes, and the lobster roll delicious! Also had the cucumber salad was amazing, including the sauce! Queenie was so sweet and made sure to check about my allergies! Overall, everything was great! Service to the food to the atmosphere! Will stop by next trip.Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options.“
“A hidden gem in Diamond Bar!!! And they actually open until 10pm. For Diamond Bar standards that's pretty late. We love Tofu Bean - Diamond Bar. This Tofu Bean is owned by the same great owner of the Tofu Bean of Rowland Heights. Their Banchan (side dishes) are the best. The potato side dish and kimchi are my favorites. When you order a combination, the tofu soup is the same size as the regular tofu soup orders. Check them out - I highly recommend.“
“Kim Tar's roast duck is the best in the area. The Hainan chicken is of very high quality. Somehow Kim Tar's taste is different among the Chinese BBQ's in the area and good/authentic. We've been coming here for 20 years, having our get together and bday celebrations here. Staff is very friendly.“
“Went In for lunch with my wife. I had the teriyaki beef lunch special. It came with Miso Soup, small salad, teriyaki beer with steamed rice, and a crispa California roll. Food was good but my only gripe with it was that the steamed rice tasted a bit old and hard. I also asked for spicy Mayo to go with my sushi roll, but I never got it. The waitress didn't really check up on us, but overall the food was pretty good.“
“The place is a bit small for eat inside, they got few tables and chairs but good for little family or couples. This time i order for take away.I lobe their "Lunch special Combo" menu which is you may choice the ribs between beef or pork, then there's side dish : rice with gravy, french fries, mash potato with gravy and coleslaw. You can mix it for the side dish, sample my order have : 1 coleslaw + french fries, 1 rice with gravy + french fries, etc. You can choose what you love.I recommended the rice with gravy, the rice so soft with thr gravy makes you want more and more. The lunch packages includes 1 chicken already inside it.So if you order 1 Lunch special combo, it will consist : 1 chicken + 1 choice of ribs (pork or beef), and 2 kinds of side dish. And the price for Lunch special combo is $ 19.50 + tax 10.25%.Here i share the menu and price beside Lunch special combo :* BBQ Chicken combo $ 13.99 (which is you get 2 chicken inside it.* Beef/Pork Rib dinner $ 27.50 (which is you get 2 ribs of each beef or pork you choose)* Rib meal $ 27.50 (which is you get 4 bones of pork ribs 2 bones of beef ribs)* also have add on such as 1 chicken piece also the add on for side dish start from $ 3.75 -14.95.For my self this 1 box of lunch set, i could eat it for 2 times, cos its bit big for me.So lets go and try it!*“
“Obsessed with this place for breakfast, I tried a little bit of everything (thanks to the people I went with). The pepper bacon, potatoes, waffles, raspberry lemon pancakes, sourdough toast. Everything was delicious! The service was great too.“
“As soon as I walked in with my husband the food smells so delicious & taste great too! We had to come back & get more. Great service & quick too. Most definitely recommend coming in & trying it out. Best Hawaiian bqq! Love the loco moco here.“
“Went here for St. PATRICK'S DAY looking to have a beer and some fish ? and chips with the wife. Place was crowed and quite festive ☘️. Service was slow with the beer as demand was high and the servers and bar staff were frantically filling orders for ? folks who were chugging away the green beer and other mixed drinks as fast as they were presented to the patrons. Patience was key and the bar and wait staff are ? Champs for working so hard on a Sunday St PADDY'S day. Beer and alcohol service for that day was also available outside on the patio. Enjoyed a cold one streetside with other friendly folks waiting to get a table. Once we were seated the wait staff was fast and polite. Drink order came around fast and surprisingly the food was just as fast too. I highly recommend this place for the fish and chips. Great batter, comes out crisp and light, good tarter sauce and their coleslaw is just the way I like it. Better yet they have one of my favorite Irish Cream Ales on hand Killkenny. Great Red Ale which is always on tap here throughout the year...Definitely coming back. My wife had ordered the same food dish and big thumbs up from her too...she doesn't drink alcohol so she ordered a Shirley Temple to which they served in a large beer ? mug which made her happy too. Would absolutely recommend this place as there is a great bar and restaurant atmosphere and setting in this quaint downtown setting of La Verne. A shout out to manager Anthony who was serving beer on the pation and showing great hospitality to everyone outside.Parking: Small downtown area next to college so parking is a little competitive depending on time of year and time of day and which day of the week. There is a lot to the east that has free parking.“
“Don’t order the grilled chicken! ! ! The skewers are all delicious, the beef and mutton are grilled with the aroma of fat, the New Orleans flavor is full, and the tinfoil series are also great. The chicken is cold when it comes out, and the taste is amazing.“
“Excellent quality for the AYCE price! Everything was delicious from the salad to the beef brisket to the shrimp. If you are super lucky, you will get Emma as your server. She remembered all of our orders and was super friendly and nice. Reminder to tip well for terrific service! Emma made our family dinner even more fun and memorable!“
“This review is only for the oolong milk tea and service. This place also serves food. But I came in for the oolong milk tea. Really good. Met my expectations and the price was perfect! Service was really good. The woman working was Very nice and polite. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely come back. Ps: I found this place because I searched up "boba". Turns out this place used to be or is affiliated with "Quickly". S“
“A hidden gem within the Puente Hills Mall..The customer service was immaculate! If your on a time budget and trying to grab something quick and comforting..THIS IS IT!! We ordered the Katsu Chicken Plate..please note this is a huge plate!! It accompanied steam rice, Mac Salad and veggies. I also ordered the BBQ chicken bowl w/rice and veggies. Food was definitely a hit!! Although the ambience was a bit dark and wish they were seen more!!“
“Got the liempo meal! Meat is so flavorful and you get a lot for the price. We ordered take out and it was ready just when they said it would be. I would definitely recommend calling ahead because it can take some time to prepare. Love the lights and the outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. I’ve also had the bangus belly meal which is also really tasty.“
“The waiter recommended the Caldo de Gallina and Wow great recommendation…it was super tasty and just the right amount of serving and the price was fair. The service was wonderful I would recommend this place if your looking for fresh clean meal.“
“The ribs literally melt in your mouth. So tender and juicy. The tri-tip was absolutely amazing and the chicken omg the chicken was so good. Love the BBQ sauces especially the habanero, not to spicy, actually sweet with a kick. DO NOT for get to try the pickles!!! My wife, mother in law, and myself shared "the pit boss" plate and it fed us with left overs. Before I forget the cheesecake so moist and delicious just like their cornbread. 100/10 will be back again“
“I go to a lot of Filipino spots and this hands down is one of the best. You must try their pork barbecue skewers! Rich in flavor and juicy! I wish I could eat here everyday, but I would get too fat. Anyway their West Covina location takes about 40 mins on busy days to finish the order, it took about 15-20. It's always worth the wait, just plan ahead of time. Great Filipino hospitality.“
“The food was great not a lot but good the bread pudding was awesome. Juan our server was wonderful. I took my friend there for her Birthday lunch first time for both of us after spending $80.00 I noticed a charge on my bill for extra barbecue sauce. First of all the sauce comes in a small small amount and to charge for extra is just wrong, that was our only complaint.“
“The Hainan chicken rice combo set for 2-3 people is a must-get. The chicken is smooth and juicy, with skin, no bones. It comes with chicken broth, marinated cucumbers, spiced peanuts, chicken broth rice, and two condiments (ginger scallion oil and a sour sweet chili sauce). I also like the potato noodle soup. The soup includes quail eggs, small meatballs tofu skins, kelp noodles, and baby bok choy.“
“I've never been to any other skewer restaurant and came to this place twice within a week or so, so this is a review based on that background info. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Pearl Plaza. Your best bet at parking during peak hours is in the parking structure to the right of the plaza. The door to the restaurant is a bit hidden and just looks like a wooden wall but when you get closer to it, it opens automatically like a sliding door. The first time I came was around 7:30 pm on a Thursday night (party of 5) and the second time was around 4:30 pm on a Sunday (party of 3). We didn't have a reservation the first time because it was an impromptu decision to eat there and we were seated right away. I made a reservation for the second time just in case and was also seated right away because the restaurant was empty at the time. Each table comes with roasted peanuts and two types of dipping salts/spices for each person. They have plenty of different types of skewers to choose from so there's something for everyone. They also have appetizers and already cooked dishes you can order. It may seem like the skewers will take a long time to cook but it actually goes by fairly quickly. The servers were really attentive both times I went. I will say that it is a bit pricey compared to something similar like KBBQ since it's not all you can eat. Both times I spent about $40 something but you do leave extremely full. Definitely recommend a try!“
“Ordered soft shell crab and it was good. Wasn't hot nor warm by the time I made it 12 minutes away home. Also ordered baked salmon roll, it was good flavor was mild compared to what I'm use too. I did like that it was not super oily like some I've had. I would come back“
“This is always our yoga sisters favorite hang out place: we ordered big fried chicken steak, tofu with sausage, popcorn chicken, fried pork blood & tempura! As for hot pot, we had pumpkin, tomatoes, mushrooms flavors & spicy mala Taiwanese styles! The food are delicious, great atmosphere, excellent service & cute decoration! Strongly recommended good restaurant!“
“Choose both. You can make your Mongolian style plate and while that's cooking grab another plate and add some additional items from the Chinese food self serve buffet. You walk in and decide if you'll be having Mongolian or Chinese. Them put on a glove on the hand that you'll be using to serve your food. Then serve yourself whatever your heart desires and as much. If you went with the Mongolian once you are done serving your bowl you take it to the grill and watch the magic happen. I'm extra so I like to grab a wing or two, fried shrimp and or an egg roll. They are mostly breading, but they do the job. Once done Walt to the cashier and pay. We love this place because you get to serve yourself and it's super casual. Perfect for a weekday night when you aren't in a mood to cook.“
“I used to come here all the time to get my tofu soup fix--the mushroom tofu soup, danger spice level. Their food was exceptional and my comfort food! The staff was always so warm and welcoming, which was the main reason why I always came back. Does anyone know if they have possibly relocated? I went the other day and found that they were closed and reopening as a Tofu Bean. I think this place closed down and I'm truly sad if they did! :(“
“I've been coming here for 30+ years. I used to come so often that they would know me just from my order since I always ordered the same thing. For a brief period I didn't come here because they had changed up their menu and didn't offer Satay Chicken lunch specials anymore. But looks like they recently changed owners and I'm happy to say that the Satay Chicken Lunch and Dinner specials are back. Even better, the satay chicken is even more delicious and juicier than before. Service is great and the new owners are very friendly and welcoming.“
“Located in "The Village" of downtown Glendora. Calm atmosphere, outdoor dining, not a whole lot of auto traffic, kid friendly.....Now the food. House made potato chips, yes please! Pulled bbq pork on atrisan bread....excellent. Choice of salads as well, mixed greens, ceasar etc. Beer? Yes'um. Several small craft choices and yeah...the usual light stuff too.“
