Smelled so good going in. Ordered a few items, the pulled pork sandwich was cold & had no seasoning. The brisket was dry and tasted like nothing but char. The hot links were cold. Pricey so expected more. Would not come here again.

I got a one meat plate with brisket, potato salad, and coleslaw. Brisket was nice, tender, and even further elevated by their tangy barbecue sauce. Potato salad’s a classic, super hard to get that wrong and Goodland’s is no exception. However, the coleslaw had an off-putting bitter aftertaste; I did not finish it. However, I paid $19 after taxes for just this meal. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t really eat barbecue too often or the “Santa Barbara tax”, but that seems a bit steep. Good meat, bad coleslaw, kinda pricey, decent overall.

This eI is well-known by locals as the best BBQ restaurant in town. The meat is very juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The food is pricey and worth it. However, their service is not the best.Parking: Parking is located behind the restaurant.

Beware Customers!!!Two comments about this place. It looked like a good place to have some good BBQ.Food: I asked for a chicken sandwich but first they told me they were out. Then they said they had some. The chicken was like the left over parts from the pot. There was dried skin and cartilage pieces. Needless to say, it was not good.Business practices: They charge a 3.5% service charge for credit cards but there was no sign to inform customers. When I asked the person who appeared to be in-charge and maybe the owner, she apologized and said she was told to take down the sign because someone told her it was inappropriate. I told her the employees should notify the customers. While I was eating the underwhelming food, she brought me a receipt letting me know she had refunded my service fee. I saw the credit on my account that night but it was taken back the next day. It feels a bit illegal to be doing any type of transaction to my credit card after I leave the establishment. (I’m not saying it’s illegal to charge the fee. However, customers should be aware) Very concerning.

I got really excellent food at Goodland BBQ. The ribs were perfect and the sauce was delicious. I think the service was great and the atmosphere was a classic barbecue dive and very cute. Fast service, good for

It's hard to find good BBQ in the Santa Barbara area. Goodland BBQ is our family's answer to that. Real good brisket and chicken. The corn bread with with honey butter is my favorite. Go try it! ??

We met some long time friends here and it was very good. The BBQ was quite tasty and good. The sides especially the potato salad was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was lacking. Prices were reasonable but high due to this darn inflation. Nice spot and we'd return if we were in the area again.

First time eating here, and I ordered the “3 Meat Combo” (I picked pork belly, brisket, & pork ribs) and “Sliders w/ BBQ & Slaw”. This was for take-out, so I drove 40 minutes round trip to pick up my order. Not only didn’t they forget both the included side dishes (meaning the “3 Meat Combo” ended up being just “3 Meat”), but the “pork ribs” consisted of a single rib! One single rib! Fortunately, when I ordered, I was hungry enough to pay the extra 70% for “3 Meat”, versus their similar “1 Meat Combo”. But imagine if I had settled for the “1 Meat Combo”, and received a single rib for $15! The fact that they forgot my sides was just icing on the cake. Oh I was asked to choose a salad dressing when I ordered. I received no salad.Otherwise, the food was hit or miss. The pork belly was tender and flavorful, but the portion size was lacking: two disappointingly small slices. The brisket was decent, and I was given a fair amount, but it certainly didn’t melt in my mouth (perhaps cooked earlier and reheated?). The sliders seemed like some thought went into them, but the meat was dry, with hardly any sauce. If you’ve got a craving for BBQ, this might be your only option in town. But I probably won’t eat here again.

The BBQ was not up to my Texas standards. The pulled pork was decent but definitely needed sauce. The brisket was cut too thick & wasn't fall apart juicy. Again, I'm comparing to Texas. Probably won't come back, also had to purchase 1/2 pound of each instead of 1/4 pound, cost me more than I planned because of that.

Ordered food online, arrived ten minutes after it was supposed to be ready and waited another ten minutes to pick it up. Nothing in the kitchen was being cooked. Just packing up already cooked food. The cornbread was so stale it was hard to eat. The size of it has shrunk considerably so once I first started going there. Can’t say I want to get back. Slow poor service

We ordered take-out tonight and my hubby and I each gave our meals a 10 out of 10. The brisket, tri tip and cornbread were especially delicious. Sundays is a great day to go because parking is easier on Hollister since none of the other businesses are open. Otherwise, open parking is in the back which is fine too. Highly recommend. Great food! Can't wait to go back. This is our 6th time of eating here so thought I'd write a review for consistent great food.
