I see this place has a lot of bad reviews, which I don't understand because 1. the food is great 2. the wait isn't ridiculous 3. Even though I get takeout, the tables are always clean. I'll definitely be back
This used to be my absolute favorite place in Isla Vista. Recently (starting around summer 2023), though, the quality of their ingredients plummeted, they stopped hiring students, they refuse to take your order in person (making you use a kiosk instead), and still ask for a tip. I predict this place is experiencing a slow death.

Couldn't have survived my college days without Hana Kitchen. When you're balling on a budget, getting lunch in between classes, just know Hana is there to provide at least 2-3 meals. I've ate at Hana and craved it on so many occasions, whether I'm hungover or leaving the Rec den for a workout. There's outdoor space to dine and eat with your friends, conveniently next to Blenders 8in the heart of IV. It's healthy and affordable, what more can you ask for.
