“I was looking for an Armenian bakery to purchase some Maneishe. I saw this bakery in Google maps and decided to check it out. The bakery is located in Granada Hills in a nice area. I parked in the back and walked in from the back door. Upon entering the bakery I immediately was able to smell the wonderful aroma of baked goods! The front counter and dining area is very cozy and well appointed. The menus are on the wall and fresh baked goods displayed, as well as Armenian groceries. I ordered the Maneishe Extra pita wrap. The wrap was delicious, full of Zaatar, fresh veggies and Labneh. The owner was there and she was very nice. I will definitely be returning!“

If you're about the kind of food that makes you feel like you're at your friend's house who's from another country, this is it. Tastes like their grandma loves you like a son or a daughter. “I love Shawarma with Tahini sauce. When I found this restaurant accidentally as I picked up the order for UberEats customer, I knew I saw them on Instagram before, so I decided to go back the next day drove from Hollywood and tried Wagyu shawarma and fries. I liked it expect they include lamb in it. I’m not a fan of lamb that comes with distinct smell, so next time I’ll request without lamb. Also when I saw it on instagram, their fries were much bigger than what it is now. The name Wagyu is exaggerating since their meat didn’t come from Japan obviously, but overall I liked it ( minus lamb) and definitely try it again and again when I go back to Studio City. The staff was professional and attentive. Their free coffee is a wonderful treat for me.“

“TLDR: Food is great. Bit pricey but maybe worth it. Really really like this place! Food is great and will give you the feeling that it was made with a lot of care. Flavors and seasoning are great. I have tried the chicken thigh and beef kababs, tabbouleh, falafel babaganoush and hummus and I think the babaganoush is particularly outstanding. The service was pretty standard, nothing particularly outstanding just your normal "as expected" good service. Staff is helpful and willing to answer questions. The do not sell the entrees as a side meaning if you want an extra kabab, they won't sell it to you individually, you would have to order a whole other plate. Think they need to reconsider this. I personally do not fully understand this. The ambiance gives local spot. Seems like many regulars are here from the way it vibes when you enter which is neither good or bad for me, it just what it is. The bathroom is clean and doesn't smell which is remarkable I suppose. Parking is a bit more difficult since they are in a strip mall that's maybe a bit smaller than most but that's not on them. It is what it is. At least its free.“

“My grandson wanted Greek food for lunch and this restaurant had good reviews - all five stars ? So when we get there, it was located on the left half side of a gas station. We decided to park and give it a try. My grandsons ordered chicken kebab plates with a rice base and two sides. I ordered the gyros plate with a greens base, grilled vegetables, and marinated feta cheese. The feta cheese didn't have a very good strong flavor like Greek feta and the texture was smooth, not chunky. The tzatziki was tasty but the cucumbers were too big and made it hard to spread it. The chicken was tender and juicy, the hummus had good flavor, and the rice had good spices. The gyros wasn't like the usual gyro meat sliced from the hanging vertical rotisserie. It was more slices of gyro meat that was browned on a grill or in a frying pan; the outside was not juicy and freshly cut like usual gyro meat. It did have a good flavor. The other thing was when we paid it asked for a tip. We added a tip, never been there before and not knowing what to expect. When our order was ready, we were called to the counter to pick it up. The food wasn't served on plates with normal silverware but in to go containers with plastic silverware. No offense, but don't ask for a tip if you aren't doing anything to deserve one. I suppose we didn't have to throw away our containers but it didn't seem right to leave them on the table. For those reviewers that think this is the best gyro you've ever had, there's a dozen better ones than this in the SFV.“

“Great option for food if you are visiting Discovery Cube across the street since the cafe at the cube only serves cold food. My toddlers enjoyed their food - Cornish hen, pork ribs, hummus, red bean salad, rice, etc. Priced low and portions are generous. Food felt fresh, which is important to me for my kids. Service is great, too. Clean and open eating area. Tables are not sticky.Do note that food prep may take a bit (15-20 mins). The wait is worth it and to know the food is cooked fresh. Krdiyeh (Cheese, Tomato & Jalapeño inside a toasted bread. Tabbouleh was very good with the right amount of lemon juice. Hummus & Babaghannouj were very good, but we had to order another Hummus because the quantity is a bit thin. Price per person can be anywhere from $20 to $50 depending on how much you want to eat, but I think $25 is a port good standard portion.Vegetarian options: Middle Eastern food has a lot of vegetarian options like Tabbouleh, Fattoush, Hummus, Mutabbal, Falafel, fries, Krdiyeh Cheese beureg etc.Parking: There was parking when we went.“

“New York City inspired Halal Street Food Experience in the West Valley I recently revisited this hidden gem tucked away in the San Fernando Valley, and it's safe to say, it's definitely not your traditional Greek food fare, but it's something equally satisfying. Despite the mispronunciation of "gyro," what you'll find here is a delightful fusion of flavors reminiscent of the halal meat street food carts of the bustling streets of New York City. Stepping into this popular spot, it is reminiscent of the famous Halal Guys chain, I opted for their mixed halal meat gyro, a departure from my usual platter choice. What arrived was a burst of flavor, with perfectly spiced halal meat nestled in warm, crisp pita, generously drizzled with their signature white sauce. For those craving an extra kick, their hot sauce adds just the right amount of heat. As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but wonder why it had taken me so long to return. The food here is undeniably delicious, making it a staple in the San Fernando Valley dining scene. While prices have seen a slight uptick in the wake of post-pandemic inflation, it remains a budget-friendly option for those seeking a taste of authentic halal street food. However, if you're on the hunt for a more traditional Greek gyro experience, Firehouse in Tarzana comes highly recommended. Nestled along Topanga Boulevard in the West Valley, it offers a culinary journey that transports you to the streets of New York City with each bite.“

“We had lunch here recently and to my surprise, it was seriously delicious. I say that because I don't normally like Mediterranean places as I feel like many are run of the mill, and not too delicious or original places. However, I thought to try it out with all the great reviews it had and it did not disappoint! I had the grilled chicken and it was so flavorful and moist. It was also a lot of food and plenty for the price. It came with a super crisp and refreshing salad to start as well as with a side of rice and eggplant "hummus" style dish. All delicious! My mom had the same meal and also loved it . A friend of ours had the beef and said she greatly enjoyed that too. There is ample parking, as it is in a large shopping complex. The service provided by Alina was in a word: outstanding!! She was so attentive, friendly and kind. Hagop was also very helpful. I believe he is the owner. It looked like they were quite busy with some catering orders and that's great to know, since I would be more than happy to pick up food from them in the near future.“

“Stopped in for a later lunch after strolling around the LA Zoo for a few hours. Unfortunately, they were out of beef shawarma (and don't serve it with lamb), so Jim G. and I opted to share the Rib Eye Plate. We had to wait about 8 minutes or so for the rib eye to cook, which is totally fine. The plate is massive! All the sides on it, plus eggplant and fries on another plate. We also opted to order a little falafel to taste and they were very tasty! The rib eye was but there wasn't really a lot of it there. I realize it's an expensive meat, but the $30 plate cost is comparably more expensive than the other meats. We shared a bottle of red wine ($37) and chilled out with our friends, who all enjoyed their food, too.
