“Our family lives out of town and we were advised to use Port of Subs in Grass Valley to cater a family member's memorial. Dee met with my sister and I to plan out the menu and she was so helpful and made it very easy for us in a very difficult time. The day of the memorial we had nothing to worry about. Everything was there on time, was fresh and delicious. Thank you Dee and Port of Subs for your excellent work.“
“I've been going to this Subway for many years and almost always have a good experience. But today, the team was outstanding -- working together like a well chorographied dance team. They moved the lunch-time crowd through the line quickly and efficiently. Great job all!!“
“Stopped in on the Sunday morning before Labor Day-they were already busy, but the young man and woman working were SO polite, quick, helpful, and had great attitudes under the stress of having only two employees with a whole line waiting. It can be hard to find great customer service, so props to these two! (The sandwiches were great too)“
“Stopped by this local favorite for lunch today...Roast Beef (aka Roast Beast) was spot on and solid, the French onion soup was a warm welcome after a long rainy week. I also left with a tub of the Kansas City BBQ sauce to augment some brined and smoked baby back ribs at home for dinner...also well worth the money at a price point equivalent to grocery store gourmet BBQ sauce. As the grandson of a professional meat cutter (40+ years), that cures meats on a hobby/craft level, and prepares about 1500 lbs of meat and over 100 gallons of BBQ sauce for public consumption every year, The Ham Stand is 100% what I'd expect and a lot of extra nuances that are well worth the money for local craftsmanship and attention to detail.“
“Great people with a chill environment to grab a sandwich or a salad. Always have good music playing. Great spot to grab a bite before going up the hill or on the way home. They play the sports game on the big TV. Grab a beer and hang out at their small bar area. Always fresh food and they never disappoint. Try the skinny dip! It’s yummy!“
“Nevada city Port of subs used to be best in town. It's been crazy lately though. They need more employees.Used to have the MOST delicious brownies. But not of late. Most of the people are friendly. Jack I believe is a name of an employee that is super nice and fun to talk too. This is where we usually fill up b4 heading home.“
“Update (11-26-23) — put the 5 stars back, because the guy (manager maybe?) that gives super small portions (even if order a double) hasn’t been working — and it is one of the better Subways, especially if order through app for coupon codes.Update (11-11-23) — 1 star, newest photo:They quit adding double meat even if you pay for it. Only get proper portions when certain people are working.Previous review was 5 stars (first two photos):I’m not normally a huge Subway fan, but this is definitely one of the better locations. I recommend making it a double and you get better deals via app ordering!“
“This was my 2nd visit. Both have been very good. I didn't know they made breakfast sandwiches. I stopped to get my 87 year old dad a sandwich and he said he wanted a breakfast sandwich. He stayed in the car. I walked in and the guy working was so nice greeting me before the door closed. I asked if they made breakfast sandwiches. Absolutely he says. I'm not sure what my dad wants and this guys walks me through some excellent choices. Delicious sandwich made. Hot and just what my dad wanted. Bacon, egg, cheese with garlic aioli. He loved it.“
“Had crisp chicken sandwich and Greek Salad. Good tasting. Don't think ham is normal on a Greek salad. In fairness, clerk asked if I wanted everything on it. Didn't expect ham. We are not from here. I have a pet peeve tho: the blond in the food prep area kept rubbing her long hair and fixing her bangs I don't think that is a good thing in a food prep area. Otherwise, service was friendly and fast“
