“One of the best sandwiches I have had in Old Hangtown (Placerville)! I had the Angry Irishman. It was delicious. It's a grilled sandwich with Corned Beef, Pastrami, Cream Cheese, Havarti, Caramelized Onions, Jalapeños, and Hot Pepper Spread all on beautifully grilled Sourdough. Service was friendly. Inside seating is sparse. Just a few seats at the bar, and a table.“
“Glad that they got a JM in Placerville. Had them in Florida when i was living there and used to love their BLTs. Waited until the hype died down and got a mini #9 mikes way minus tomatoes. Also ordered a side of chipotle mayo and buffalo sauce to dip. Sandwich was packed and delicious. Deli meat was fresh. Mikes way makes the sandwich pretty "juicy". It was yummy though bc I was horrified at the amount of vinegar (and was it oil?) she put on my mini. So great suggestion. It IS a little pricey here. The mini was close to $10 without chips and drinks. But the sandwich was fantastic and filling and the service was very friendly.“
“I have to admit I am a sourdough snob! The bread was top notch! My sandwich was great I can't wait to go back and try something else. Staff were very friendly and food came out quickly and was reasonably priced. Looking forward to sampling more of their menu in the future“
“What a superior sub sandwich!! I recently compared the "Italian" sun at Mr. Pickles to the "Italian" sub at Jersey Mike's, and hands down, Mr. Pickle's was far better. More meat, and I ordered the Jersey with extra meat, better bread, and overall better flavor.“
“For months I would stop and read the menu but just couldn’t bring myself to try one their “concoctions”. That was my loss. I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone trying several of their master pieces and have not been disappointed once. This place is like the Disney Epcot of sandwich shops. Ready for an American classic, the biscuits and gravy sandwich might be their simplest sandwich but I’m salivating right now just thinking about it. The gravy is top three I’ve ever had, if not the best. Ready for a trip south of the border, the enchiladas suizas sandwich might be my favorite so far (minus the sour cream). The addition of the chips might seem like something my kid would do, but don’t think this sandwich would be same without them. The salsa verde rivals anything I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant. Looking for something a little on the sweet side then give the honey walnut prawns a try, and continue down the Asian fusion path with the pot sticker cheese burger. I could go on but just know your trip around the culinary world doesn’t stop there. Don’t like to travel, no problem, the cheese burger will more than get the job done. Fair warning, they have a lot of fun and work their butts off, but on busy days there can be a bit of a wait so take some time and enjoy all Main Street has to offer. It will be more than worth it.“
