“I'm not a vegan or vegetarian and what I ate today was AMAZING! Drunk Cauliflower - light batter that didn't hold the cooking oil and not drenched in sauce- just enough to give it the right amount of flavor and the cauliflower were so meaty! A meal in itself!! Next was the Indian tikka masala. Flavorful land for me a little too spicy- but otherwise than that, full of deliciousness. Jasmine rice cooked to perfection and presented in the shape of a heart . Naan also yummy! Everything tasted home made ( I cook ) and the presentation was delightful . Cant wait to go back and try more. As I was leaving the dining room( very, very clean )& was filling up with hungry diners. Service is great too- very pleasant experience.“

“I got food from this place and was really happy with my order. The sandwich was awesome! It had roasted veggies, mushrooms, avocado, and came with plantains on the side. It was still fresh as takeout, and I bet it’s even better if you eat there. (lived up to its name “the best sandwich”)The buddha bowl was also great! “I love how they put black bean in the sandwiches and they also have couple of protein options the. Ice creams do taste like real fruit and I am so happy to feed my kids once in a while so they too try other fruit in a different form than at home. Is always crowed and I find it so con. “What a great breakfast/lunch spot! It's definitely a local spot. What doesn't go unnoticed is the amazing customer service! The vibe of this place is very welcoming! I have to note that all the ingredients are so fresh. I ordered a miso glaze salmon bowl and if you look at the image you'll see how big of a salmon pc I got! It was just enough greens and rice for a hearty meal! I also got their like a lady juice and it was perfect with this meal!Definitely will be back and I love that the walls have outlets so it's a good place to get some work done as well!They do have parking but it is in a plaza so it does get busy. There is a lot of street parking close by.“

“I've had many açaí bowls from different spots and Roots & Rye just hits different. I loooooove that you can get not only the açaí blend but the matcha blend as well. Their portion size of each thing they add in the bowl is also perfect, not too much one one thing or another and there are definitely places that might overdo it on, say, the granola or the blended stuff. I've only been to this location so I can't speak for the other spots but at this one, they only let in a few people at a time which means a line can end up forming outside. I haven't had to deal with a long line before but it can definitely take some time to get everyone through and finally make it inside. Still, one of my favorite açaí places, if not my favorite!“

“I used to love sunright! I used to get the grape frostie almost every day! They even had a buy one get one free grape frostie for a month before they discontinued it since it was a seasonal drink! I stopped going because their other drinks are not that great in my opinion. If I did want something similar to that, I will occasionally get the strawberry frostie. Their blueberry frostie and their grapefruit frosties were not it. All their new frosties r not it either... BRING BACK THE GRAPE“

Also I was craving a hot drink and they suggested their wellness tea that comes with lemon, ginger and honey. Everything was delightful. The sandwich comes with pickled jalapeños and avocado on your choice of lightly toasted bread. The fruit was nice mix of watermelon, cucumber and melons. I was just in the area for other reasons. Lucky find! I'd come in again if I'm back here!“

“Woke up with a tickle in my throat and knew I needed fresh juices n ginger asap. I called to ask if they make ginger shots and THEY DO! Just not listed on the website. I forget the prices he quoted me. I think 16oz ginger shot was $20? I got 8oz. The 8oz is easily about 3 shots so I'm a happy camper. Also got a large immune system booster. I'm not a beet juice person *at all* but this wasn't bad. Tasted the OJ and carrots more than beets. So glad I found this place. I've tried misc ginger shots in the area and all have been pretty subpar. I KNEW there had to be a place out here that served amazing fresh ginger shots and I didn't have to drive all the way to Silverlake. Will be back!!“

“This place is right on the corner and I was able to park right to the left of it with the metered parking. I came mid week and in the middle of the day since it was a nice warm day. I got the ritual acai bowl with the original mix. It was a perfect combo and size to keep me going until dinner. The fruit was fresh and the peanut butter was the perfect amount for the whole bowl. The service was stupendous and I appreciated that he explained the different toppings they offered. The ambiance is chill and I definitely want to come back.“

“A good friend and I went to Cafe Vida last minute for lunch. I figured it must be good since there was a quite a few people. We ordered the chips and guacamole to start. So tasty. I had the chicken bowl which was amazing. Our waiter gave just the right attention and he service was outstanding. It was such a relaxed place and had a great vibe.“

“A delicious diner in the valley. It’s one of the better diners in the area which is already full of great and historic diners. It feels like you are eating in someone’s home. I would classify this place as a classic country style diner. The sort of place where locals lineup to have their daily meal and there is always a revolving board of specials. They have a fairly large menu with a ton of options on it and service is very fast. Our waiter was also really polite and we were checked in on many times by many different employees. They have a small parking lot attached to the front of the restaurant, otherwise it will be free street parking in the neighborhood behind.As mentioned, the menu is pretty large so it took me a minute to decide which dish I wanted to order. I ended up choosing the Eggs Alla Fisdale because Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast dish. This one is unique because they use a cheddar cheese sauce, which basically tasted like a cheesy hollandaise. It was honestly delicious and really made the meal. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I loved it. We also split a Banana Pudding for dessert and it was good but nothing special. We ordered some Caramel Lattes to begin our meal, and they were very tasty and strong. I would recommend them.Overall a delicious diner with fair pricing and free parking. The latter was my favorite, but both were delicious! These came out on the quicker side (maybe 5 minutes?), though I know can take up to 20 to make from the other reviews. Tasted flavorful and fresh, and were a great portion size for breakfast or a mid-day snack. They have a decent-sized breakfast and lunch menu (along with some pastries), plenty of vegetarian options, and fruit juices that looked really refreshing. AMBIENCE: I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't super crowded. There's a few 2-4 seater tables, a larger window-facing table with comfy chairs, a ledge for those who want to park with a laptop, and some outdoor sidewalk seating. More of a casual vibe, very bright and airy and open. On a corner. There is street parking (up to 1 hour directly in front, and up to 2 hours a few blocks down on Ocean). That's my one qualm, is that it'd be hard to spend more than 2 hours here due to the parking situation. SERVICE: So friendly and kind.“

“I absolutely love this juice bar! I found it by accident walking around the neighborhood and popped in for a smoothie. It was amazing. You can taste the freshness and quality ingredients. Everything is made with ripe fruit, fresh and organic ingredients. They even sold spotted bananas! This is my new juice place.“

“When I think of Melo Melo, I think of a homey type of feeling of comfort. Not only are their desserts both delicious and the right amount of sweetness, it reminds me of my mom and grandma making Vietnamese desserts called Che where some have coconut milk and it just gives it the right touch of creaminess to the dessert. You can feel the love that was put in with each bite. For Melo Melo, even though it’s not che, I still get that same nostalgic feeling and my heart is full (and stomach too). They have a wide range of flavors, from different fruits, to jelly, to childhood favorites like ovaltine or oreo mixed with their signature coconut jelly, and more! They just came out with a Sunset Series, the Sunset Mango Coconut, Sunset Sticky Rice Coconut, and the Sunset Durian Coconut. I also grabbed a jar of Matcha Coconut to go. I love the fact that the desserts aren’t overly sweet and get the sweetness from the fruit or mix-in. The soothing coconut cream jelly/pudding consistency makes it a dream to slurp or in my case, inhale the entire thing. Also just upon opening the jar I have instant joy from seeing it jiggle jiggle! The Sunset Mango Coconut reminds me if a mango sticky rice dessert had a baby with coconut pudding. Genius! The Sunset Sticky Rice Coconut reminds me of the glutinous purple rice vietnamese che, with the coconut cream on top. Mmmm! The Sunset Durian Coconut.. OMG.. if you are a durian lover… yes! And yes!!! For you haters out there.. It is the king of all fruit.. Only kings and queens can handle it! Jk! It tastes fresh and not rubbery as if it was frozen and thawed. The durian was creamy and custardy, and then adding another layer of texture coming from the sticky rice, and POW some velvety coconut jelly to put it all together. My absolute fave! The matcha coconut was delicious and not too strong in matcha flavor. I’ve had where matcha was so overbearing and bitter that it was difficult to enjoy. Not this one! This one was super smooth and slurpilicious! Right amount of matcha, right amount of coconut where it doesn’t overpower the green tea, great texture and enjoyable! Yes I devoured that! Basically I inhaled everything because the desserts were light and not heavy! I can totally eat this for days!!! So whoever said they don’t have room for dessert.. that’s a lie because there is room for Melo Melo!“

“I heard about Jugos Naturales through word of mouth. I decided to pay the establishment a visit. When I entered the restaurant it reminded me about the mom n pop shops aesthetic found in Mexico. Very vibrant colors and many pictures of the food they sell. The two ladies working the establishment were very kind and did not rush us when we looked over the menu. We diced to order a torta that did not disappint, an esquite with Hot Cheeto crumbs that was something new for me but definitely not a regret, a licuado de platano which was delicious, and a bionico that was extremely generous in serving.
