We came here on a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy. We were seated right away. There were 5 of us with 2 adults and 3 kids The server was very attentive and got our drink orders right away. We ordered 2 kids chicken tender meals with fries, a maui burger with grilled onions, and the huli huli crisp chicken sandwhich, all with fries The burger was very tasty. It was pretty large, and the fries were very generous. I was very full and we still had fries left over. The burger maui burger was a sweet and savory sensation. I also loved the sauce that was included. The huli huli crisp was also very delicious. It's probably our favorite. It also comes with a sauce which my wife always gets extra. I think it's a little spice as well but it's really good. If you're looking for a burger spot with hawaiian flavors, this is the place to go. Very good and exceeded my expectations. It's a great spot!

I normally don't come on Yelp much anymore, but I needed to leave this review- I mostly look at yelp to check out restaurants and not for the purpose of leaving bad reviews. With that said, I've been going here since high school and the service hasn't been this terrible as it has been recently. The last two times I've come here for take out, they've messed up my order (which isn't overly complicated). Normally it's not a big deal, but the first time it happened a couple of months ago, we ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes for them to re-do one of the entrees- to make things worse, I think they may have forgotten us at curbside because I had to call them to remind them I was still outside after 15 min had passed. I didn't leave a poor review that time (even though I should have) because I chalked it up to a one-time occurrence/aberration and not indicative of the actual service I've gotten here. Tonight, I called and asked to place a take out order- they transferred me to take out, and whoever was supposed to be answering the phone picked up and hung up on me immediately. No problem, must have been a mistake, or so I thought, so I called back. The first person who answered put me on hold instead and went over and told whoever it was working the takeout side that there was a call for a to go order. They finally took my order and read it back to me and confirmed twice on the entree they ended up messing up. When I called from curbside to pick up the food, they transferred me to take out, and the same thing by happened again- they picked up, immediately hung up on me and forced me to call back again. It's just bs the run around I got, hung up on twice rudely only for them to mess up my order for the second time in a row, forcing me to wait yet again while the rest of the food got cold. When I did get the re-done food, the burger meat was a little warmer than room temperature. It's terrible service all around, and I don't know if their leadership/management even knows what's going on with their crew if they're hanging up on customers and doing this to people. It's been consistently this way now. If you really want to eat at an Islands, I'd probably give the fountain valley location a try, just sayin.

We hadn't been to an island's for a while. I had the blue cheese burger, and it was really good. The service was much better than I've experienced at other restaurants. They were constantly asking if we wanted a refill on our drinks and asked many times if we needed anything in general. I wasn't expecting that good of service.

I don't like leaving bad reviews -- but this was really bad! This was my first time eating here. The couple I was with had eaten that before and said it was excellent. Not sure what happened. All our burgers were dry and hardly edible. We ordered their "seasoned" fries and what we got was NOT seasoned. You could clearly see there was nothing on the plain fries. I even asked the waitress about it and she didn't seem to care. We won't be back.

Went for lunch , I had the Hulu Hulu chicken sandwich with island fries and a margarita, my friend had the Kilauea burger and cheese fries and the margarita. The chicken was cooked perfectly lightly crisp , juicy, the pineapple and sauce sweet and tangy, fries were skin on seasoned with house season salt. The margarita was nicely balanced not too strong and not weak and watery. We were greeted promptly and seated. Our waiter was prompt as well providing menus and water, explaining the specials. My friend was feeling a bit dehydrated and was glad to get some water which he requested without ice. It was promptly refilled without ice no problem. The restaurant was fairly busy for lunch.
