“Came here today for lunch and it was my 1st time and it was so good. I had brisket and a side of beans and drink for $40 the flavor was great and the beans were perfect. I had the strawberry kiwi lemonade and that was super good too. The bbq sauce was the cherry on top. Overall great experience. The young man that was working there alone was nice and attentive. Very home style feeling. I will absolutely be back with my foodie dad and tell others about this place.”

“Celebrated my 60th birthday here with an intimate gathering when i remembered being here once before many years ago for a menudo breakfast. Service was good aside for the wait to be offered a drink order when we were seated. Otherwise, food and service were great including the birthday serenade! The margaritas were ok but their mix is a little too sweet for my taste. Will definitely be back though!”

“Major props to Los Alpes Ice Cream. I get nostalgic every time I come here. I have been visiting since I was a kid and the memories I have from this place are all great. The quality is just as good today as it was back then. I literally met my best friend here over 30 years ago and the interior still looks exactly the same.

I love coming here every chance time permits when I am visiting Los Angeles. It is one of those places that brings me right back and it never disappoints.

The flavor selection is amazing. Even though I usually keep it simple with cookies and cream, I have a hard time resisting the mamey and nuez every single time. Their ice creams are packed with ingredients. Cookies and cream is loaded with actual cookies and the nuez has that perfect nutty richness in every bite.

The staff and owner are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. This place is a true Los Angeles institution. It still surprises me how many people do not know about this gem. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see why it has been around for decades.”

“I’ve been coming here a handful of times, and boy this places never fails. I was browser through Google maps checking out restaurants, and this spot looked promising. Since then, I’ve been making the mission to come and eat here for fresh, well cooked seafood and their micheladas is probably one of the best tasting ones around the LA county.

I tried a few dishes here, yet I stick with ordering the pulpo tostadas, shrimp tacos and a Michi. Pulpo is cooked very tender and soft, just darn right and never over cooked where it’s rubbery or tough. It’s always cooked just right and the serving is an amazing portion. It’s enough to fill you up.

The shrimp tacos are flavorful, and the shrimp is lightly battered. The taco isn’t skimped out on the amount of shrimp and toppings, and the sauces used aren’t spicy but enjoyable adding extra flavor to the food.

Michis are served in a big cup but the mix used and the chamoy rim is to die for honestly.

In the past I’ve gotten fish chicharrones, and this dish is very delightful, not super greasy, and packs a punch.

Service is friendly, and the lady who’s usually at the cashier is so nice, including her assistant.

I highly recommend. It’s so worth the try. You won’t be disappointed.”

The yellow curry was tasty but I tend to have very high standards when it comes to curry. It was more than adequate but it could have been spicier and to be honest, I’ve had better and worse. I went to Portos and they discontinued them , so I went To Gigis and they didn’t carry them anymore.So I googled a Cuban Bakery in Hungtington Park and Moyas Bakery had a picture of them so I called before going there to see if they had them, the gentleman on the phone said yes. So I went there. I didn’t see them on the display case so I asked him and he said let me get them for you. I was so excited to see them. They were delicious. I took a dozen of them plus other pastries. It’s an old school traditional Cuban Bakery. I love it. I will be back
