“We came to visit our daughter at CSU Dominguez Hills, and were looking for a spot to eat. We looked up some local spots and Guajillo popped up. We were not disappointed with the Chilaquiles! They were delicious and made to order. The food was plentiful and filling and reminded me of my mom's home cooking! Highly recommended!!!”

Another complaint I have is the chopsticks feel very cheap and hard to work with plus $2.50 for a can of coke isn't really something to look forward to with your meal

​For my first visit, I ordered the Chicken Bento Box, and it was easily a 5-star dish. It was a well-balanced masterpiece!

It also included four delicious California rolls. Alongside these were some fried veggies and fried shrimp. “Major props to Los Alpes Ice Cream. I get nostalgic every time I come here. I have been visiting since I was a kid and the memories I have from this place are all great. The quality is just as good today as it was back then. I literally met my best friend here over 30 years ago and the interior still looks exactly the same.

I love coming here every chance time permits when I am visiting Los Angeles. It is one of those places that brings me right back and it never disappoints.

The flavor selection is amazing. Even though I usually keep it simple with cookies and cream, I have a hard time resisting the mamey and nuez every single time. Their ice creams are packed with ingredients. Cookies and cream is loaded with actual cookies and the nuez has that perfect nutty richness in every bite.

The staff and owner are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. This place is a true Los Angeles institution. It still surprises me how many people do not know about this gem. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see why it has been around for decades.”

“The fruit is fresh and better priced than a lot of neighboring shops. I don't eat fish, but I see a lot of the neighborhood going in for fresh seafood cocktails. The lady here is the sweetest lady. She has a donation box that she sends money to a lady in mexico that takes care of animals in the street, and the neighborhood homeless man stocks in and asks for an ice cream every now and then. She asked him to wait outside and then takes it to him. Very sweet owners and great food.Overall fresh fruits and seafood. I highly recommend you support our neighborhood small business.”

However I wish there was more meat. The bread was thick and there was lots of veggies lettuce, tomatoes, etc If the patty was thicker or double it would have been better. I ordered Yellow Curry w/chicken & Pad Si Ew Noodles with beef to go, I was asked to have a seat and about 12-15 mins later the food was ready to go. The yellow curry was tasty but I tend to have very high standards when it comes to curry. It was more than adequate but it could have been spicier and to be honest, I’ve had better and worse. However, the Pad Si Ew Noodle with beef was AWESOME! It was so delicious and perfectly balanced. I would definitely come back just for this dish 😋”

“This is my go-to taco spot for al pastor. It’s easily the best around this area. The meat is cooked on a trompo and served fresh, with a great marinade and that perfect sweetness from the pineapple sliced over it. The tortillas aren’t handmade, but the flavor of the pastor more than makes up for it.

There have been a few times during slower hours where the pastor is pre-cooked and already cut, but most of the time it’s fresh off the trompo and on point.

I’ve tried other items like their quesadillas and different meats, but those are more on the average side. This place really stands out for the pastor.

They do have a big selection of salsas. My favorites are the verde and aguacate, both spicy and full of flavor. The pickled purple onions with habanero are also really good, and the cucumbers with chile and a squeeze of limón are a great side. Everything for sides are self-serve, which is convenient.

The agua frescas here are some of the best around. They taste homemade, not like prepackaged mixes. Sometimes I’ll stop by just for a cold horchata.

Be ready for long lines, as this place gets packed during the late hours of the night. The line usually moves pretty fast though, and the flavor makes it worth the wait. The seating area has grown over the years and is available at first come, first serve. However, nothing beats eating tacos over the hood of my car.

Service can be hit or miss depending on the staff’s mood. I’ve had a couple of instances where I was told I didn’t pay for an item even though I did, which was frustrating.

Overall, if I’m craving al pastor tacos and a great horchata, this is the spot I’m going to.”

I went to Portos and they discontinued them , so I went To Gigis and they didn’t carry them anymore.So I googled a Cuban Bakery in Hungtington Park and Moyas Bakery had a picture of them so I called before going there to see if they had them, the gentleman on the phone said yes. So I went there. I didn’t see them on the display case so I asked him and he said let me get them for you. I was so excited to see them. They were delicious. I took a dozen of them plus other pastries. It’s an old school traditional Cuban Bakery. I love it. I will be back

Parking: Only 4 parking spaces in front of this corner strip mall. One handicapped in front of the Bakery and 3 extra next to the Handicap space. I had no problem parking but I noticed there was more ample parking on the side.
