What a shame to Mexican cuisine. The food lacked visual appeal and simply tasteless. Had the Chicken Mole and it was serve with white rise ?. The Chicken was dry and hard with a crisp bitebto it and the mole was kinda old looking and the taste was horrible. The steak salad was also bad. The Carne Asada was overcooked, almost charcoal looking and appears that they don't marinate to give it that Carne Asada taste. It was so bad we didn't eat either. The drinks however were goot. I guess that's a good thing when combining with bad food. Juat have a few drinks before eating so your not able to remember what the food taste like.If you've never had authentic Mexican food then you probably won't know the difference in taste and you may actually enjoy this place. However those of us that grew up in a Mexican household, this food is simply embarrassing to our culture. Just because you make it look trendy, doesn't mean it taste great. I recomend you hire a Doña to show you how to truly prepare Mexican Dishes because this is simply not cutting it.

Sophia and Tayla are wonderful! Excellent service! The food is great and I love the salsa! Definitely worth trying this little gem and would definitely recommend!

The Chicken Mole Poblano I ordered with out the corn tortillas with extra radish, pickled onions and cilantro - and also came with a side of rice along with a piece of chicken in mole sauce; it was delicious and a mild mole on the spice scale. The specialty cocktail How I Met Your Mother was served in a copper cup and was sweet but not overwhelming so. There's a bar area, hightop seating, regular take seating, booths, and an outdoor patio area in the parking lot. Chips and salsa were excellent!

We originally had reservations at Cork and Fork for my in-laws 55th wedding anniversary. The day before, the restaurant called to cancel the reservation because they had not completed their move and would not be open as anticipated. We moved the reservation to their sister restaurant, Tu Madre, and anticipated an equal dining experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant overbooked, so we ended up with a table at the front door, we're my mother- and father-in-law were extremely cold. Whena boith opened up, we asked to be moved and we're told that it wasn't possible, because other people were waiting for a booth. We finished our initial round of drinks and left never having a meal. Needless to say, this is not what we had planned for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration with family.

Unfortunately, it was very average food and the prices seemed high. I ordered avocado tacos that were supposed to be vegetarian and they came out piled with bacon. Luckily, I noticed before I started eating. The chips taste like they were from a bag and the salsa was just ok. Nice interior but overall not a place I would go back.

We drove to a different neighborhood to try this place and would not recommend making the trip. Food relatively bland, vegan options mostly rice and beans-based (no vegan cheese or more creative.

Tu Madres Cantina & Grill CA: La Quinta 2022 December Four Stars This beautiful modern Mexican restaurant and bar had a good food and upbeat vibe. The wait staff were working hard but seemed stretched. We enjoyed our tortilla soup, fried avocado tacos, and Baja burrito. The soup had a lot flavor and spice. The burrito plate was barren.

We hadn't even here for over a year and I must say we were a bit disappointed. The prices have gone up and the amount of food served has decreased.

We are a party of seven with reservations. We waited over an hour for our food. Most dishes brought to the table were either cold or missing condiments, like salad dressing, guacamole, etc. they added a 20% gratuity and after. We paid the bill all they could say was have a good day. AVOID THIS PLACCE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Run don't walk away from this restaurant!! I don't even want to give it one star. The worst experience I have had in a long time. Their were 6 of us and we got seated at 6. An hour and a half later we finally got our food. The waitress was MIA half the time. We finally got our food and two of our friends got their meal which looked like it was just slapped on the plate but without the sides that they had ordered with it. When we brought that up they disappeared with the dishes for at least 15min. When they finally came back food was cold and the sides weren't even what they ordered. We finally asked for the manager which she did take their dinner off the ticket but she was really rude, and when we got the bill we realized they had tacked on 25% for tip!! Tip for what? they didn't do anything. Food wasn't even good. will never go back there.

We had a lovely time at Tu Madres, loved the guacamole and our food. But seriously the margaritas are what makes people want to come back. I'm positive you will agree with me.

Me and my boyfriend were on vacation in Palm Springs, and stopped for lunch at Heirloom craft kitchen , and later that evening had dinner at Tu Madres Cantina . Both restaurants provided amazing food and service. We are more than satisfied with our choice and experience. Would definitely recommend to visit both places if possible. 5 stars for an unforgettable and delicious memories ?

My family and I arrived at around 6:10pm to a pretty empty restaurant. There were approximately 7 of us total trying to enjoy a nice dinner. We sat for around 20 minutes without anyone coming to greet us, give us water, nothing. I’m not sure why it took so long as there were maybe 4 tables and a couple people at the bar but if it’s like that on a slow night i can only imagine a busy nice. Definitely never recommending nor eating here at this place. Super disappointed.

Amazing! Food was great, service was great. Love the interior- nice simple and clean. We went on Sunday at around 5, not too busy at the time. Totally will go again.

Came from out of town to visit Indio and wanted Mexican food. This place stood out to me. No regrets. The margarita tasted so fresh, burrito was solid, the salad was my favorite. I have a good feeling everything on the menu is tasty. I’d definitely come back. The staff was nice and helpful. Great ambiance.
