“Got off the airport shuttle and went to this Middle Eastern restaurant in Inglewood close to the airport. It only has a couple tables inside so it's for carryout mostly it seems. Al Hamra has most of the classic favorites. Lots of the good stuff like falafel, hummus, tabbouli, and more. The platters are big and are a lot of food for an okay price. A pretty small place but they have a lot on the menu, and it's better than it looks to be honest. It's not pretty from the outside but it's clean inside. There's the counter to order at, and there's just a few tables. Most people call in orders and get it to go. We were already there so we ate there. It's about $14 for the platters. These are big and come with lots of stuff. I got the Falafel Plate. This comes with hummus, rice, and salad. Good falafel. These were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ones like these are best. Then I used the pitas to make sandwiches out of these. Convenient place after getting off the shuttle a few blocks from here. It's pretty quick and simple. There's great choices like the falafel for vegans and vegetarians.“

I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. “let me start by saying this is the BEST vegan Ethiopian food i've ever had. i have frequented a lot of Ethiopian restaurants and the veggie platter combos just don't compare to Berbere. the atmosphere is so calming and refreshing and the ambiance is amazing. the staff were quick and efficient as well as attentive without being annoying. the food was served fresh AND hot and the flavors will excite a party in your tummy!! i went here with my mom and we shared everything. to start i ordered the et tacos and let me tell you the reviews for the tacos were right on the money. i never thought id like a taco that wasn't traditional but these made me rethink tacos as a whole. the flavors were so powerful and delicious. honestly it's just best if you're reading this to just try them. no amount of words can describe the flavors. for the main dish, we ordered the eat the rainbow with red lentils, yellow garbanzo beans, purple cabbage and potatoes, and kale. although i loved everything the KALE was the star of the show. it really surprised me how freaking delicious it was. i mean it was tangy but also seasoned just right. cooked to perfection if i do say so myself. to drink we both ordered the blackberry (could've been blueberry not sure?) mint lemonade and it was refreshing. i didn't feel guilty drinking it at all. for dessert i ordered the sublime confection and it was superb!! it's an interesting dessert to describe but it had banana and chocolate and ice cream and that was enough for me to order. the banana was not overwhelming either. i ended off dinner with a hot cacao and i burned my tongue so badly but it was so good i didn't even mind it. the cacao was so rich and thick. it was a nice treat to end a wonderful dinner. all in all our experience here was everything and more. i cannot wait to go back soon because it's right near my job two blocks away. side note: it is on the pricier side but i promise you won't feel robbed or cheated the portions AND the flavors are worth every damn penny. berbere is a 10000/10.“

It is impossible to tell their bread products/desserts are gluten-free, and their menu is thoughtful and varied. I'd frequent 401K even without gluten restrictions; as someone with Celiac, 401K is an absolute game-changer.“

“I had been hearing a lot of good things about the food here so I finally made my way into Silverlake to check it out. As you are probably already aware, this is a take out or delivery restaurant. You cannot dine in here. You actually can't even enter the building. The front door is a two piece door and when they are open for business, the top part of the door will be open. You order from there and then wait on the sidewalk for your order to be ready. You can also call in an order in advance or use various delivery services. There was not anyone waiting to order when I got there so I was able to walk directly up to the door and immediately order. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for my order to be prepared and in those 10 minutes they got very busy. Six people came up to pickup phone or delivery orders during that time and those pickups went very quickly. A line began to form to order during that time and when I left with my order there were 5 other people who had placed others and were now waiting for their orders to be prepared and an additional 7 other people waiting in line to place orders. They prepare their food quickly but keep in mind, they need to cook the food after you place your order. If there is already a line to place your order and people waiting for their food to finish cooking, all of that will add to the amount of time it will take before your order has been prepared. If you are in a hurry and need your order quickly, perhaps you should consider another restaurant such as a fast food restaurant. They do prepare the food as quickly as they can but keep in mind, you will wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes at a minimum and the more people you see standing around out front will add to that wait time. Is it worth the wait? Oh yes, it is worth it. I had the popcorn chicken, Summer Rolls and the Caramelized Pork. The Popcorn chicken and its dipping sauce was a real treat for the taste buds. The chicken is double fried but is not dry on the inside and the dipping sauce has the perfect bite of spices to it. The summer rolls are huge. Your choice of protein or vegetables only. They really could be a meal within themselves and the vegetables were very fresh with lots of vegetable crunch in every bite. The Caramelized Pork came with sticky rice and cooked with hard boiled eggs. It was as good as it sounds (which is very good). The portion sizes were very good with my order easily being enough for two people with some leftovers. Truly, the summer rolls are so large that you cannot help but have leftovers. Parking can be very tricky here. There are yellow painted loading zones in front of the restaurant and the mom & pop grocery store next door so if you are just picking up an order that had already been placed, you shouldn't have a problem. You may find yourself desperately looking for a place to park though. Keep that in mind but don't let that scare you off. You will be thankful for the effort you put in when you are finally home and enjoying the fruits of your troubles. BTW, I hear that their Bahn Mi sandwiches are so good. I look forward to trying that next time.“
“Chocolate Oreo Ice Cream! Let me tell you it definitely hit the spot, one of the best ice creams I've tried I can see why it's one of their top flavors. I got the single scoop and it's a good amount of serving but I should have gotten a double scoop for sure! If you love chocolate ice cream and Oreos, then this is the perfect flavor for you. Although, there is a hint of coconut in the aftertaste in case you're not too huge on coconut. But the actual flavor overpowers it. We went late at night but the service was still good! You have to be careful not to miss the window it's right next to a small coffee shop. There's a few chairs around to sit after or you can walk around and see the other shops around. Very small space but great ice cream! I will definitely need to go back and try other flavors!“

It’s a cute restaurant with friendly staff.However, I expected the food to taste better…I ordered their classic breakfast pizza suggested by the server. First of all, it looked great. I’m not a fan of the fake bacon because it tastes like paper. After the first couple of bites, I realized the pizza was barely edible because of the amount of big rosemary leaves added in the pizza dough. I had to hand picked them out of the pizza to avoid tasting the ‘soapy’ rosemary flavor… and I love rosemary in general. Just not THIS MUCH. I asked my friends to also taste my pizza and they all told me I should send it back.Luckily, our server took it back right away and gave me the option to change to a different pizza.The second pizza I ordered was margarita pizza. It was pretty blend. But at least edible.I do need to say their menu is probably a hit or miss. My friends ordered the breakfast burritos that they enjoyed a lot. “Our group of four went on a Friday night. We didn’t make a reservation, but our wait was only 20 minutes. If you go on a weekend day, recommend making reservations. The 20 mins we waited was well worth it. We have eaten at many Thai places over the years in various states. In SoCal we have a couple of favorites, but when we were here recently it was too far to drive to them. So we discovered Ayara in Culver City area where we were staying. Excellent Thai dishes! Good size portions and reasonably priced. I had the Ginger stir fry with chicken and requested basil be added. It was delicious and fresh. Two of our group ordered spicy basil chicken stir fry with a fried egg on top. They loved it. I would never want a fried egg on top of my Thai food but to each his own. It looked really yummy even with the fried egg, though. Fourth person got a dish with shrimp. He liked it but was a little too spicy for him. But that was his fault as waitress told him it was spicy. It looked delicious to me. If you aren’t into spicy, make sure you order something else or extra mild. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches.The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh.The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great.I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. “I was introduced to Sidecar Doughnuts in 2017. I have been a fan since. My favorite donut from them remains to be the Saigon Cinnamon Crumble. It is more of a cake-like texture and I like almost anything cinnamony. This donut tastes more like coffee cake. Coffee and sugar are my staples for everyday living. So, it is almost impossible for me not to love this donut as it has my basic necessities wrap up in one perfect little package! This time I ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee to go with the donut. It didn't taste like a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee. Instead, it tasted more like an iced latte. So if you are looking for a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee, don't get it from there. Don't get me wrong, it was still good coffee just not what the name said it was. This location is off Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica about 7 blocks from the beach. I really like their packaging as well. The boxes the donuts come in are modern and simple with bold gold letters of the store's name. This location is small and has seating outside. There is metered parking on the street. Service was just okay. I wish the people working there could have been more friendly. All in all, this premium donut chain that started in Costa Mesa in 2012 is still very popular and is definitely worth trying for the first time, and going back for me!“

I snagged a bag of melon pan and it looks and taste just like anime told me it would. Also got a couple steamed buns, sadly they were sold out of anko, but I got pork and curry. It didn't look like much as you enter but walk through the bar and you've stepped into an open dining space with tables close enough to feel in community but private enough to chat! The food was delicious... we had the avo/beet salad and Caccio e Pepe along with the avo toast appetizer and the blueberry cobbler for dessert. Sitting to note, their happy hour is well worth showing up early for... we did dirty martinis for $10!! The service was on point- Kenny was a gracious host who made us feel cared for! Recommend highly and will be back!“
“I'm writing an update, after having not visited in 7 years. Things have changed greatly. The front has been renovated to include a bar seating area. There is still a small rear dining room. The patio out front has been covered and new seating installed. Parking is still a headache. I dropped a star because they took my favorite pescado ranchero off the menu. Everything is still tasty as ever. Prices have gone up, but that is the case most everywhere these days.“
