Just visited for the very first time and the place is lovely and lively! Perfect for meeting with friends or family and also for sitting and reading a book. Everyone is so friendly. The tea and waffles are amazingly good. Will definitely return.

Whenever I'm in LA from Nashville, this is a must stop. Owner is so knowledgeable and joyous. Great place to just be.

What a gem this place is! There is no parking lot, but there is a good amount of street parking on the block, just make sure to check the signs because it might be two hour parking depending on the time and day. Decor inside of the establishment is interesting to say the least, but it's kind of a vibe to be honest. It's very all over the place and mismatched, which definitely is not my taste, but for some reason it works for this place. Lara greeted me and my friend inside and asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside, to which we chose to sit outside. She guided us to the outdoor seating area and it was really cute! We were given the menu and a glass of ice water and were set to figure out what to order. I decided on the waffle combo since it was a Saturday and they only do waffles on Saturdays, but had a hard time deciding what tea to get, as they had a ton of different options. After asking Lara what the most fruity flavor was, I ended up getting the plum oolong tea. After about 10 minutes or so, my friend and I got our tea and I got my waffle. I should've asked for the fruit on the side instead of on top because that made it a bit mushy, but that's my bad! The tea came in a tea-press and with a tea timer that had three different timers depending on how strong you wanted your tea to steep. The plum oolong was on the fruitier side, but wasn't as sweet as I would like so I did add a good amount of the agave syrup that was provided. I do wish the tea was a bit stronger even though I had it steep for the longest setting. My friend got the green pomegranate as a hot latte and that was BOMB. Next time I come here I am definitely getting that! Throughout our time eating/drinking, Lara and another kind worker kept checking up on us to make sure we were doing good; very good hospitality. Lara also told me that I could get a refill on my tea for free! Once you are finished, you have to go inside to pay at the register. I liked how we were able to split the bill depending on what each person ordered. Totally recommend coming here for a chill tea time. It's so hard to find a good tea spot that's not super fancy and has decent prices, and this is just the place!

Low key spot with big flavors. I was feeling ill and decided to finally stop by. I got the Immuni tea per the owners recommendation. She is so nice and her eyes are pretty too. Lots of places to seat with a new grassy patio in the works. If you’re in the area stop by.She also said the Zucchini loaf is super popular

Coffee was fantastic and the cup had an interesting texture. The shop is also a great place to spend some afternoon studying or working.

Don't see matcha latte in your tea menu ?. We need high quality ceremonial matcha from Japan in the erea! ?

Ambiance: I'm not really sure how I feel about this places decor. I'm not sure if it's stuff collected over the years or if it's meant to be that way. I liked it but it also seemed a bit old. Next time, I'll dine in so I can get the full experience.Service: They were so nice, patient, and helpful. I'm an introvert, so when I walked in and there was no official counter to walk up to or a menu on the wall, I wasn't sure if I'd even stay to order. But they let me take my time with the menu and answered all my questions.Food: I loved the waffle combo with the fruit and turkey sausage combo, i did not expect it to be as good as it was, especially since I got it to go. I also got the Chai Latte, which I'm sure is made how it's supposed to taste, but since I'm used to going to major chains, it was lost on me. Once I got used to it, it wasn't bad.

I can see why this place has so many positive reviews. I can't rave enough about how sweet, homey, and vibey this tea spot is. The eclectic energy radiates through the quirky decor, beautiful large windows, and outdoor seating patios. We stan supporting small businesses, especially ones with an owner as kind and radiant as this!

Mingles Tea Bar is my new favorite place to catch positive vibrations and good things to eat. Mingles Tea bar is the creative initiative and epic center of Minglewood. Lara Curtis is dynamic energy personified. The shop is situated on a corner giving it an international city town center. I ordered a carrot cake-like loaf was delicious. When I complimented Lara on the loaf, she told me how Mingles Tea Bar collaborates with another local Los Angeles favorite, Homeboy Industries, to provide the loaf. Lara is committed to building strong community ties. Mingles Tea Bar had a welcoming cafe vibe with bright colors and a private outdoor lounge that could be used for private parties and family gatherings. Mingle has free WiFi too. I also ordered a peach cobbler to go. OH, MY GAWD! It is divine. The unique crust and the just right sweetness are just as advertised, like a hug from God. I highly recommend experiencing Mingles Tea Bar, where tea people are honored and loved. When you visit, tell Lara Omar sent you.
