Nice place to take the kids. Minus 2 stars due to the jerk in the ranger truck. He should approach people with more courteousy instead of an attitude. Yes, I parked in a camping area with a day use pass. No, I did not see the sign that says no parking in the camping area. He could have informed me that there is no parking in the camping area and asked me to move my car, and I would have gladly done so. This is a tough one! Maybe it was overpopulated not sure the issue. The bathrooms were always a mess, out of toilet paper, seat covers, working lights and showers. The power went out multiple times and the showers has no pressure. Is this really what camping is all about? The North shore offers free showers, laundry services, a playground, basketball court, a nice shore, group camp sites, ice cream parlor, and boat rentals. We had a blast coming out to stay at the campsites this year. It was just beautiful. Our family all came down to stay for the weekend, take the new boat out, and do some swimming and fishing. When we ran into some issues with the engine, one of the lake staff, Matt, towed us to the beach and managed to get it running again then pointed out some areas where the fish were biting. My husband caught an 8lb rainbow trout! We're already making plans to come back and stay again soon.
