|[ h i d d e n g e m ]|Hidden in the middle of some industrial buildings, this was an unassuming vendor in a group of 14 in a takeout center (meant for pickup/door dash/Uber eats etc.) but hey plenty of parking! This was surprisingly decent.|[ y a y e h h h ]|Mini rainbow cup w greens (instead of rice) w the onion chia dressing (which I only used a bit of-- was delicious but p salty), this was decently tasty and hit the spot for a quick sushi craving! The fish was fresh enough and though I feel it could be slightly fresher, I'd still get this again bc it wasn't bad. Super umami and fun to eat. Mini size was plenty for me to bridge between brunch and dinner! 4/5.Caterpillar cup w eel dressing which is a p sweet teriyaki flavor-- personally I thought the sauce was too sweet but otherwise woulda been good perhaps w a diff less sweet dressing. This one doesn't have sushi in it though so keep that in mind if that's what ur craving. 3.8/5.|[ o v e r a l l ]|We enjoyed it and look forward to coming again! Easy grab n go that's deliciously umami. Bonus: grassy area outside that was walkable for my pups while we waited! C:

After reading some reviews detailing the confusion they countered at the take out kiosk, I decided to be lazy and ordered A Cup of SUSHI via DoorDash. Easy peasy! We ordered the poke cup and mini rainbow cup and upgraded to combos. The fish used in the sushi cups were fresh and we got to pick the base (sushi white rice, mixed grain or salad) as well as the dressing. Besides the size difference between the regular and mini cups, the regular also came with a small salad served in its separate plastic tray sitting on top of the cup that must be removed prior to enjoying the actual sushi cup. The mini bowl could be enjoyed as is with the dressing we selected. Each combo comes with sides and azuki taiyaki. Our sides were a shrimp tempura, karaage chicken, kinpira gobo (burdock root), hijiki seaweed salad and a little bit of salad with small tomato. The taiyaki was packed to the max with red bean. Even though the fried food was lukewarm when it arrived, it still maintained quite a bit of the crunch, which was nice.We were a bit hesitant to order raw fish via DoorDash but we were pleasantly surprised by the freshness as well as the perfect packaging. Looks good, tastes good! Perfect for casual lunch dates at home and picnics! Thumbs up!

This fun sushi in a cup is located inside a "smart kitchen" with multiple other restaurants! Super new and cool concept, where you order online, ring the bell once you get there, and the food is brought out to you!Love the creativity of this! The aesthetics are super instagrammable. I could see why someone would order this on their lunch break as well because it's a quick all in one! We would say it's hard to grab everything in one bite, especially for someone who likes their poke mixed. But, we read a tip about eating a little and then shaking it which seems very smart!

YUCK!!! We visited the Japan Fair at the OC Fairgrounds this weekend. This place had a booth and was one of the few places that did not have a long line. In fact there was no line...we just walked up to the window. We ordered a Rainbow cup and watched as a server grabbed the pre-made cup from a large plastic cooler like you would take camping. I thought this was a good sign as it appeared they were keeping the stuff cold prior to serving. WRONG. When I picked the cup up from the counter it was at room temperature and not even close to being cool let alone cold. Not good to store raw fish at the incorrect temperature. We found a place to sit and eat the food. It appeared to have a slice of shrimp, a few pieces of ahi, a few pieces of salmon on top of rice and some salad type ingredients. I always sample the raw fish before adding sauce to test the freshness of the fish. I was horrified at the fishy taste of the ahi. It was not remotely fresh and had obviously deteriorated, probably from the way the pre-made cups were stored prior to serving. The salmon was a bit better but still not real fresh. The fish went in the trash and we ate the rice. Try at your own risk. Oh, and the email address the business provided in the reply to this review is non-functional!

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday. It took a few extra minutes to find since I didn't expect for it to be hidden in an industrial complex surrounded by office buildings. After finding the place, I had a few questions about my coupon and order and wanted to speak to someone to no avail. There was no one at front so I tried multiple times to reach out to someone using the Ring. Multiple attempts and no answer. I tried to call the phone number and only got a machine. I eventually gave up and just placed an order. We waited outside for quite a long time especially since nothing needed to be cooked and there were no other customers. Eventually we got notified our order was ready and walked in with nothing on the pick up shelf and again no people. We waited some more and eventually someone brought our order out. For one cup we asked for tamago to be on the side but instead that item was missing completely from that cup and another cup where we didn't ask for any accommodations and instead they removed the tomato. I did like the taste of everything. All the ingredients were really fresh and tasty. I don't think I like the cup concept too much though. It made it hard to eat and the different ingredients didn't mix easily in the cup. I basically ate most of the ingredients in order to prevent things from falling out. It's much more functional in a bowl instead of overflowing out of a cup. So if you come, you might get yummy sushi but make sure you're not in a rush and have plenty of time to wait. Also, if you have any special requests or want to speak to someone, good luck.

This place runs quite unique system. There's 6 restaurants share the kiosk and kitchen. I was here about 10 minutes before the opening. The kiosk did not show up the menu about the cup of shush but other restaurants did. This is very confusing for the first time customer here. When I was there, 4 people left due to complicate new system. It's new, fun and good food. This is a great idea after pandemic restaurants situation.

Interesting concept with surprisingly decent flavors and quality. I ordered delivery through DoorDash and the dishes came in the cutest packaging ever. They even have instructions on how to eat it on a card. I got the rainbow cup with Yuzu miso and the mini dragon combo with sriracha ponzu. The dressings are packaged separately. You open the lid and pour over the dressing and shake to mix the ingredients together. Both of the sushi cups were delicious. The dressings had just the right amount of flavor, not too light but also not overpowering. The combo comes with a fun assorted snack box. There were side salads, shrimp tempura, chicken karaage, egg roll, and a giant taiyaki. This place is more than just a fun concept. I enjoyed everything and will order again!

Wow. I got this thinking its like a poke bowl, but this is next level stuff. Super nutritious, has all sorts of vegetables, proteins, textures and colors. And the combo has a little bit of everything. Very neatly packaged and so much variety. Even the taiyaki for desert. All i can say is gochisosama! Recommend for sure.

Still my favorite restaurant in Orange County! I appreciate all of the sales and coupons they offer throughout the year. The vegetables and fish are always fresh, I've never been dissatisfied. They're also accommodating to my allergies, which I am grateful for. I love the addition of the mini cup duo, it's a great way to try new cups! I highly recommend to anyone in the area craving sushi/poké! :)

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you know that this is a "ghost kitchen" or "smart restaurant" that does not take cash and does not have anyone at the front counter. We planned a 16th birthday party around a nearby escape room and coming here for dinner. When I discovered this was only set up to take cash (on the day of the event), I called the posted "help" number where I was told that the kids could pay in cash. However when they got there for dinner, they could not find any bell and calling back to the kitchen got no response. So the kids went without dinner and I had to write an apology to the parents. In short - please know what this place is and isn't - it is a pick up spot for in person or remote online ordering only. It is not a restaurant. Re the food (because I ordered my own dinner while supposedly figuring things out for the kids), it is good but overpriced ($13 + tax for a cup of rice and veggies).

Seamless experience with ordering through their site and picking it up at their ghost kitchen. My order was ready within 10 minutes and everything was as fresh and delicious as they look in all the photos! Super convenient to take with you on the go. There are instructions included in case you're unsure what to do. Each cup is really filling and totally worth the price!

Sushi in a cup! Super unique concept! I loved all the layers and the food was super fresh and delicious! I got the Rainbow cup and Amarillo cup and both were really good! I also got to try the shrimp tempura side, which is a new addition to the menu! It was super yummy and I would definitely recommend getting it as a side! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their sushi cups!

It was super yummy! I got to try the rainbow cup and the Amarillo cup! Both were delicious and I'd like to go back and try their other sushi cups!

Our beloved sushi, but this time in a cup. There is a special way instructed on the cup HEHE so I'm showing it here. It's very interesting and unique - the way they invent this.Everything is still fresh and very easy to eat. I really recommend the dragon. one, especially choosing set meal option because you'll get extra side and dessert as well. The mochi is very yummy.Collection tips: arrive at their lovely ghost kitchen > ring the bell > get your order by name. Parking is super easy to find. The shop is also super easy to locate!
